Black Cropped Leggings?
I'm going to a fancy dress party in a couple of weeks and have a short black dress I want to wear for it, however I want to wear some leggings with it as I think I'd feel more comfortable wearing them with it for the first time (not keen on my thighs!). I want some that come just under the knee, but I'm 5ft1 so not sure where to buy some from? Don't really want to spend too much as I don't think I'll wear them very often but confused as to where to get some from. Any help would be great :)

I have a black pair of leggings but they are ont he long side and as im only 5"3 i have to fold them up the top uner my dress which is apin cuz they neva stay and the whoel leg ends up goin wrinkly! arghh! super annoying, so im also intersted to knwo where people found their elggins cuz mine are rubbish from River Island.

Topshop do leggings in cotton or footless tights which have the same affect i usually get all my things from there cuz they re so gd. They do them for £5 which is ususally cheaper than River Island or most place....:wave:

I bought a top from Warehouse at the beginning of January - have worn it once, but have just realised there's a rip/hole in the seam.
Do you reckon they're likely to give me a refund - I will be within the 28 days - don't know whether this will make a difference or not - after all, the garment is faulty.
Plan to go shopping this morning so any quick replies would be gratefully received! Thanks a lot!

They should give you a refund, regardless of if you wore it once or not - that's poor quality. It would help if you've got the receipt, but if you haven't I think they'd only stretch to an exchange or credit note at the current value.

A few months ago now there was a thread complaining about Oasis copying the Boogie bag, and a lot of people said they disliked the fact that high street stores copied designer items - that it was theft of someone else's idea. Which I kind of agree with, although I also think there are arguments for it since not everyone can afford designer clothes and bags.
Now there are lots of you buying copies of bags from the lady in HK, and it made me think about that thread. What do you guys think, is it acceptable for someone to make outright copies of someone else's designs? And since she is making them to order, why not design your own, rather than nicking someone else's idea?

Personally I haven't ordered direct copies from the HK bag lady, I've taken a style of a bag I like and fitted it to suit me plus had it in a different fabric and colour to the originals. It's very hard to conjure up a bag out of your own imagination, of course you get inspired by bags you see so have a version of it made. I don't consider her bags to be "fake" as she is not claiming they are the real thing and putting the dodgy logo's all over, I think they are more inspired by the originals as are vanilla's bags.
As for the people who can afford the real thing being upset I can see both sides of the argument, they have spent a small fortune and don't want it being reduced to market stall copies where every man and his dog has one thus making it deemed tacky, however when people like vanilla and HK BL make versions it makes it more available to those people who cannot afford the originals.

Powerpuff Girl, I might be wrong, but I don't think any of the people who were anti-copies on that thread have actually ordered anything from the HK Bag Lady- I certainly haven't for one.
The only reason I'd buy from her is if she could do a particular Gucci bag I love in fake (i.e. synthetic) alligator because I would never buy the real thing but I love the bag shape so much. But I probably wouldn't bother with that either because, well, it's still pretending to be something it's not. Plus I am broke at the moment!

I would like to order a bag in the style of another that's too pricey for me to buy. But I will choose a different colour, perhaps different leather, and so on.
