Sorry another gypsy style skirt thread...
But I bought this skirt from HM cos I was so drawn to the colour :o
I wanted it so much that I bought it in size 14, which is slightly loose but I think adds to the look of it... and also I bought it just in case I couldn't find it in a 12 from another store, that way I still have it :o a bit embarrassing. I thought it was excellent value though for £15 - lovely soft floaty cotton, plus it is lined... ideal for spring/summer!
Does anyone else do the same thing with sizes? I also just wanted to see if anyone else had this skirt or seen it... and what do you think of it?

God yeah!!! All the flippin time!!! If my size has sold out so I get the next one down/up so if I can't find MY size then I can either a) slim into the smaller size b) alter the bigger size.
I'll always take the offending item with me everywhere for about 2 weeks just in case I decide on an impromptu shopping trip so it's on hand to exhange!:o :o

Thanks guys... I was in hennes last friday before last and I didn't see any of these... then I was in there thursday just gone and they had quite a few... except only in size 8 or 14 :rolleyes:
Yeah, I kind of do the same... take the 'not quite' right item with me shopping the next time, just in case I can exchange it :o at least I know now it's not just me!

Saw a really nice black shrug cardi in the MS Limited Collection on Thursday night. Didn't have time to get it and they only had one. Anyway, went back today and it had gone... actually vaguely remember seeing someone wearing one on Friday night, bet that was the exact one I was looking at :(
Anyway, had a look on the website and it's not there so wondered if anyone has one or has seen them in their local store so I can try and track one down. It's plain black, with short sleeves and is just quite plain, doesn't fasten or anything. It's fairly long at the back if that makes sense - it doesn't just cover your shoulders. Would be really grateful if anyone can help. Ta x

Does anyone know who does nice, modern wide fitting shoes? Next do a few and Marks do some but only that your Gran would wear. Even Clarks apparently don't do them any more. Any other suggestions?

I totally sympathise with you trying to find decent ones. last year I was really struggling to find some sandals/slip ons for my holidays and searched everywhere....
Then I found Evans!! yippee. ALL their shoes are in wider fittings and although they're not cheap at least most of them are reasonably modern looking and granny would not want to wear them I promise. :p

Thanks Mel but my feet are too little for Evans - their shoes start at a 4 I think and technically my feet are only 2.5, although I usually take 3-4 as they are so wide.
Fairy, I was just about to discount FW as I had already tried Shoe Tailor and the stuff is usually the same but apparently it isn't anymore! Am going to have a pootle, cheers. I just hope their prices have changed too!

I have seen on lastminute.com a buy one get one free (in links with the bag) to go to the London fashion weekend in a couple of weeks.
It doesn't say much about it - does anyone know if it'll be any good or just a lot of people and not much good shopping??!!

I went last time, back in September (at least I think it was...may have been October), and I'm going again this time - it's pretty good, you can get some good bargains e.g. Lulu Guinness scarf for £10, Lola Rose bracelet for £25.
At only a fiver, so long as it's not gonna cost you too much to get there and it's not inconveniencing you, you may as well go!
