If you had to choose between bags and shoes, which would win?
Following on from all the here threads, I thought it might be interesting to see whether you feel as passionate about shoes as heres.
I do love heres but I must confess I have loads of shoes and a mountainous pile of boots in boxes, whereas I have around just five gorgeous bags that I think I'll use for years. (I do intend to get one from the lady who appears in the sticky at the top of the page, though ;) )
So, if you had £200-£400, which would you spend your cash on? Shoes, bags or boots?
Answer:
Bags (yes, even over boots ;) ) Actually I think I'm lying it would probably be shoes, oh I don't know, it's too hard a decision to make - ever.
Answer:
Bags (I think) :D (Pondered for a minute or two!)
Answer:
Boots, definitely - Mr.Vig commented on my unusual obsession the other day, it's not even all footwaer I'm obsessed with, it's always boots.
Come the summer, I'm fooked :(
Answer:
Boots and shoes. heres are neither her nor there for me, and I tend to make my own when I want one to go with a specific outfit.
As I said in another thread, I'm a shoe snob and can't wear cheap shoes that hurt, so I would (and have) invest in good quality shoes and boots. Comfy feet all the way for me, thanks.
If your wardrobe went up in flames tomorrow...
NO.2. ask :
If your wardrobe went up in flames tomorrow...
What would you buy on your first shopping trip? (after applying for as many emergency credit cards that would give you credit, of course ;) )
*I'd go to Marks for multi-pack pants, a selection of bras and a few pairs of patterned hold-ups and tights
*I'd probably buy a few funky casual tops from River Island,. and maybe a couple of skirts in the same vein if I could find ones I liked
*Pray HM or Mango have decent bootcut jeans in my size
*Give myself a £50 Primark budget (so that's half the shop, then ;) )
*Visit Cult Clothing or similar to try and find a couple of zip-up tops
Even that modest lot would rack up more than £400 - and that's only scratching the surface of what I own, and I'm a skinto student-type
Answer:
Hey, maybe that's one way I could finally get a capsule wardrobe! ;)
Well, assuming I'd get insurance money... (and that my underwear was in my chest of drawers):
• Black trousers that fit beautifully
• FAMKs in NYD stretch
• Several casual tops (HM)
•_A red dress of some description (I'm a bit strange like that)
• Denim mini
• A spangly going out top
•_A little black dress
I thought I'd stop myself there as I was going off on a tangent. LBDs are hardly basic items are they :o
Oh dear.
Answer:
Firstly I would cry - lots. Then the first things I would buy are:
FAMK jeans
Boots
MS undies
Cashmere sweaters
T-shirts
Jacket
Bag
Answer:
The first thing i would buy would be a one way train ticket to beachy head i would NEVER recover from the shock!

You shouldn't even joke about things like that! I can't answer - thinking about it might give me nightmares! ;)

HELP! What do i wear with these...???

HELP! What do i wear with these...???
I've just bought both of these and need to know what to wear on my shoulders. Dont say a furry thing cause I hate them! It's for a christening on Sunday.
Any suggestions and links? (Needs to be internet shopping!)
Shoes - in blue
Dress
Answer:
Finally sorted the links out so you'll be able to look properly now!!
Answer:
Maybe a pale blue pashmina? I wouldnt have picked those shoes with that dress (sorry!) so that's all I can think of...
Answer:
A furry thing would have been my first suggestion, alas!
I think flapper dresses can be quite hard to accessorise - with the dropped waist, for example, I'm not really sure a jacket would work very well. I have one and I wear it with a pashmina; a bolero or shrug might possibly work too, if you went for a cropped, loose-fitting boxy style.
Sorry, can't think of anything else, but I'm sure you'll look great!
ETA: I'm not convinced about the shoes either - I'm never sure about stilettoes with flapper dresses. I'd have gone for round-toed Mary Janes or strappy sandals, but then that's just me.

Answer:
How about a blue pashmina to match the shoes?
Don't know where from tho, sorry not much help am I?

Order question - please help!
Hi there,
I've just placed an order with figleaves.com (:yay: ) but I somehow seemed to have entered the wrong email address (I accidently left the first letter off it, and yes, I'm stupid, I always copy and paste when confirming it, that'll teach me  )
Anyway, the order went through, correct billing details and delivery address etc, but now I won't have conformation of the order or anything. I've got the 'code' to track everything but do you think there will be any problems in getting the order to me?
Thanks in advance for any replies.
Also, my pashmina I ordered in the sale has arrived :D It's lovely, I can't stop stroking it!
Answer:
are you sure you really left it off? it wouldn't have gotten your account details otherwise.. unless you don't have an account of course.. shouldn't be a problem though, as long as your address is correct then i'd imagine it would be fine.
Answer:
Well, I kept trying to sign in, and it wouldn't accept my details, so I just went in as a new customer. I really should stop being such a Homer, I'll blame being destracted by the underwear
Seeing as all other details were correct, I don't think there's anything to worry about, thanks for putting my mind at rest :)
HK Bag Lady Meet
NO.5. ask :
HK Bag Lady Meet
This is a thread ONLY for the Bag Lady Meet - any other questions re the HK Bag Lady please see sticky.
The HK Bag Lady is going to be in London between 13 and 22 Feb but is already busy on 15, 16 and 19 Feb soooooo I was thinking of organising a London Bag Lady Meet on Sunday 20 Feb for those baggers interested in coming along to have a look at the swatches and some examples of bags - Fiona has said she is looking forward to meeting us !
Before I start looking around for a suitable central London venue I wanted to get an idea of rough numbers. I was thinking of finding a coffee shop / bar / nice pub in the Soho / Covent Garden area that might be quiet enough for us to get a large group of bag-mad girls some seats.
Any ideas for venue please PM me. Otherwise please indicate on the thread below if you are interested in coming along so I can get a rough idea of numbers.
I won't post on the thread where we eventually decide to go (to avoid the Meet being attended by bagger-perverts) but I will PM all those who express an interest !
