Gold sequin vest - quick response appreciated!
Hello girls!
I need some quick advice here - on my way in I spotted a pretty gold sequinned vest (Topsho originally) in a charity shop. It's nicely made and not too market-stallish - classic round-necked vest shape, knitted (I think) and densely covered in sequins. BUT I'm not buying any more tops just for evening wear because I have far too many. So do you think it could be dressed down for dayware, or is that pushing the whole boho lux thing too far?? I was thinking of wearing it under a neutral or white T-shirt in the summer with jeans and the chestnut wedge sandals I'm hoping to get from Topshop. I also have vague ideas about wearing it at the mo with a long-sleeved T-shirt and a plain fine-knit cardigan over the top.
Any thoughts?

I think that would look really nice, and it should be quite easy to dress down for dayware with casual trousers and a plain vest top underneath. I've been looking for a gold sequin vest for ages with no luck, so if I were you I would definitely get it :)

Anyone got an idea where I can get swimwear separates at this time of year? Me and Mr.Vig are going to an indoor waterpark type thing for Valentine's weekend, and it's only just occurred to me I have nothing to wear! :eek:
Due to the short notice, internet and catalogue shopping are out, so it's time to hit the high street. I was thinking maybe those little shorts and...a top of some kind?

Try HM? I'm pretty sure they have thing in their all the year round, but I haven't been shopping for ages, so not 100% sure.
They're also pretty good prices, I tend to get all my swimwear from there.

I was in the Glasgow branch yesterday and (from the corner of my eye, admittedly) I'm pretty sure I saw some. They definitely had them before Christmas anyway!

I've just seen some suggestions . I think Mischa Barton might be quite big this year - I do like the whole sparkly-stuff-as-daywear notion! I also really like Maggie Gyllenhaal, but she's probably too quirky and oddball to be a real high-street hit. Angelina Jolie seems to be heading up the style barometer too, but I've always thought she was more just straightforwardly gorgeous than a real trend setter. Anyone else have some ideas on who to watch? I'm way out of touch since I stopped buying glossies!!
I'm not sure if we'll get the equivalent of the Sienna-inspired furry gillet/denim mini/cowboy boots (not to mention ponchos) thing this year - gypsy skirts might go that way, but I don't think I've really seen an obvious choice yet. Mind you, the year is still young!
