I've just heard that Hull is gettin a HUUUUUUUGGGEEEEEEE Primark. Possibly the largest in the country. At last!!!
Answer:
:yay: I just found out too. Hurray! Hull gets something decent for a change!
Answer:
Typical, I left Hull just over a year ago! I can understand how it is going to be big, becuase that Allders is huge.
Answer:
Crikey I might actually go shopping in my home town rather than going to Sheffield, Leeds, York, and London   I hate Hull for shopping at the mo - it's pants.
Answer:
In the middle of all this euphoria I suppose we should commiserate with all the poor Allders employees who are gonna be without jobs. :o But I'm soooo excited!!! :yay:

Afternoon!
I have been dithering whether to buy this shrug, as modelled here on the stylediary site
http://tinypic.com/view.html?pic=1qlirt
What do you think? Not sure if you can tell in the pic, but it's navy with silver metallic threading (also available in other colours). I think it's really cute and looks great over a plain tee or vest. I emailed stylediary (BTW - she is so helpful!) who said it's by a designer called SAY, and gave me the email to buy direct off her.
It's not cheap, but it's handmade (i know the pro knitters would say i should make me own, but i haven't got the skills!!) and not available over here in the shops, so I'm very tempted.
Any opinons?

Answer:
i've got two shrugs and get a lot of wear out of them. i like it but personally, navy? not for me. what other colours does it come in?
I have a black chunkyish knit one and a caramel one with sequins dotted over it and a bronzey thread running through.
i think i'll still be wearing them through the spring, for mornings when its not yet warm enough to wear a vest on its own.
Answer:
Hi PV,
I have a little cropped shrug and have got lots of wear out of it too, so like you, thought it'd be good to keep wearing for a few months yet. Especially as this one's a bit longer.
Where did you get your shrugs from?
Colours are
white w/silver, cream w/gold, turq w/silver, peach w/gold, black w/gold, periwinkle w/gold, pale pink w/silver, navy w/silver
By the way, that photo of you and your daughter was lovely!

ooh turq with silver owuld be lovely!
Answer:
aw thanks. she is a peach huh!
i got both of mine from New look boutique. i had £100 worth of vouchers so had a cracking time the other day and came away with bags for my money!
turquoise with silver or peach with gold sound nice - can you get a close up of the shades - some peaches can be quite wishy washy.
also, depends on your colouring?
talking of long shrugs, well, sort of a shrug, i saw this lovely black long cardi/shrug from George at Asda yday - had a 'straight off the catwalk' label on it which ive never seen before. Its only £18 so i think i might buy one tomorrow. theres one similiar on stylediary.net, think page 4 or 5, im really liking that smart casual look, with tailored trousers, vest/tshirt under shrug and heels/kittens. Just wants to warm up a bit thats all, i've got 3 layers on today and still cold!

6ixty 8ight so egedy bra
Answer:
i think it looks a bit odd, personally! but colour-wise choc is better than the pink. looks a bit like a burberry bra, if there is such a thing.
i really like the shape, the triangle bra - but seen lots nicer about sorry
Answer:
Honestly, I think it looks odd... it's not the most flattering on that model anyway.
Answer:
I don't like it sorry! It reminds me too much of those Pringle jumpers that were copied all over the high street a few seasons ago. I love the shape of triangle bras too but I don't like the pattern on this one.
Answer:
Not keen on it either, sorry!

Emergency Cowboy Hat - London (Also in Bar and GC)
Hi all
Just a quickie, as i'm off in an hour or so, but i'll be passing through town (which i NEVER venture into for shopping), and i really need a black or white straw cowboy hat for a costume for this weekend...
Has anyone seen a cheap and cheerful one anywhere? Could be anywhere from south bank to camden, as that's where i'll be going through early evening to get to destination...
I'm thinking camden might be a good idea actually, but not been up there for a while so not sure if there are any..... if anyone has seen anywhere in town too, i can stop off there...
Thanks so much for your help!!
:cowboy:
Answer:
I have 2 accessorize straw ones - you could have my spare if you want. I live in islington though won't be back until 630. If not, then maybe accessorise sale. Hmm, trying to think if I have seen any in the last few days. Loads of places sell them in the summer... I was in TS at lunch but it's all winter hats really now.
Oh, you could try rokit. There were def some in there earlier this week. It's in covent garden. Probably less than a tenner.
Answer:
It might be slightly off route but I'm sure Metal Militia - or infact several shops along Oxford St sell them.
Failing that I can almost guarantee the shops nr Camden Tube Station (Chalk Farm Road?) on the way up to Camden Lock Market will sell them.
Answer:
Oh wow!!! thanks girls!! i'm going up to my mates in camden for about 6.30ish, so i thought i'd get the Northern line up, and maybe jump off at TCR, as there are loads of cheapy random hat shops on cnr of TCR and Ox St... i could probs get up to camden by 5.30 and have a snout round there too...
I will try accessorize/claire's too... but yes, was thinking, failing everything camden MUST have some... just can't remember what time it all closes up there... :cmdunno:
Answer:
I echo the Accessorise recommendation - even though winter stuff is coming in I think they always keep a small selction of summer stuff. Also, if you're near any mainline train station with a Tie Rack or those stall-like shops that always seem to be there....they are probably good bets. I'm sure someone along the Camden Market would sell one, but that's a lot of ground and they'll be packing up at 6 (or even earlier) so you might not have time to find something.
