Topshop Printed Swing Dress
This is back on the site - it was available a few months ago.
Has anyone bought or tried it on? I'm on the lookout for something to where to a wedding but don't know if this might just be a bit tent-like in reality.
Answer:
Its so pretty. I think geek bought it SD.
xx
Answer:
I remember Geek lusting over it but I couldn't remember if she bought it. I thought it was a bit cheaper than that before.

Chloe, YSL, Balenciaga, Luella etc bags @ House of Hannover Outlet (London)
OMG - I popped into House of Hannover (Hannover St, just off Regent St) at lunchtime and they had a delivery of top-end bags - didn't have time to look properly but I saw:
Chloe (paddy long strap shoulder bags, totes others)
Balenciaga (motorcycle bags plus other ones)
YSL (one brown muse plus a couple of others)
Tods - various designs
Marc Jacobs
Luella
Fendi - only double F logo stuff though
Jimmy Choo
Gucci
I only checked one price tag - Chloe tote at £650 down from £950 but if you are after any of these bags anyway then it is worth popping in.

I'm not a Balenciaga aficionado as such but I do remember they were all kind of dark (grey, brown - those sorts of colours) and were probably the small or medium. Not much help sorry! Best to pop in if you are passing.
Answer:
I'm in Lancashire :boohoo:
PC, you have to sneak out and report back on the balenciagas!
annanas and I went in there a few times in the past but they hardly had anything interesting there.
Maxi Dresses for petite people? Primark?
NO.4. ask :
Maxi Dresses for petite people? Primark?
Following on from a comment in another thread, I thought I would see where all you 'petites' are buying Maxi dresses from. The Primark black floral one was on the tele this morning and looked lovely. Im not sure if it is still available.. Or this one... which i havent seen.
Im 5ft 2, size 8 and just find them like tents! How are you getting on with them?
Answer:
Dorothy Perkins and Miss Selfridge have both been doing maxi dresses although i haven't been able to find any recently. I'm hoping they do a petite version version of the blue festival maxi dress or at least restock on the original colourway so i can buy it online.
Answer:
I'm 5ft6, size 8 and tried the first Primark one on last week and it swapped me. I looked like a traffic cone:cmdunno:
Answer:
I reckon that us shorter gals need to find one that is fitted to the waist (not straight down from under the bust). I think they will look more in proportion.
Not that I've found a nice one like that. But I'm looking...
Answer:
:o am I the only person who thinks bandeau maxi dresses are a 'flasher' opportunity waiting to happen :cmdunno: I know for a FACT that I'll catch the dress underfoot at some stage, or stand up while leaving my foot on the back hem..... and I KNOW it would be booyashacka booby flasha time if I did :o :o :o
I'm going for ones that don't have that 'tiered' affect? as I think that is where the volume might swamp us a wee bit?
O/T but i'm so gutted!
NO.5. ask :
O/T but i'm so gutted!
sorry about this OT thread, but need to moan, and prefer moaning to some people i 'know'
ive been so excited about today. had an appointment with a surgeon this morning about having cosmetic surgery on my hands. basically, i have hands of a 73 yr old on a 33 yr old body. due to extensive use (and no warning of the side effects until recently) of steriod creams and oral steriods, the skin on my hands is transparent, saggy, wrinkly and scarred.
id heard about a few proceedures that might correct the appearence of my skin, but due to the nature of my condition, (as its not just normal ageing to the skin, which is when most people have cosmetic surgery on their hands), there isnt really much they can do. i can try lazer treatment but its not guarenteed to work, and the results wont be brilliant if i do go ahead.
im so gutted because im extremely conscious (sp?) of the state of my hands, especially with my job. i really really thought theyd be able to do something.
anyway, moan over. dont need a reply. just thought it might make me feel better to 'write it all down', iyswim. shouldnt moan really. theres people so much more worse off than me.:o
Answer:
I can quite understand you feeling down about it. I'd have been gutted if for some reason I hadn't been able to have my facelift. Just remember that different procedures are becoming available all the time, and in a couple of years they might be able to do something for you.
Answer:
Aww you're allowed to be disappointed hun :(
My mum has a similar thing with her hands after a lifetime of creams for eczema. Do you now use gloves when applying the cream? I know mum wears some cotton ones.
Are you going to give the treatment a try regardless or do you think it won't be worth it?
*Hugs*
Answer:
thanks chat. id not thought of that actually. OH tried to cheer me up by taking me out to lunch (which he never EVER does) and took me clothes shopping. then i went for my hair doing. still feel crap but at least i look nice. (apart from my hands):cmdunno: :p

my creams were for eczma too. i do wear gloves now yes, but unfortunatly the damage has already been done really. now i dont have to use steriod creams so much as my skin has cleared up hell of a lot because i use chinese herbs - i can give you more info on that for yr mum if you like.
the doctor i saw today is kindly going to look more into the laser option for me, and i am definatly prepared to give it a try, depending on what they say. even if there is just a slight improvement its better than nothing.
