Anyone got any exciting fashion plans for le weekend? My parents are coming to stay so 'twill be a weekend of boring outfits and my mother going 'Hmmmmmmm is that a size 14?Goodness....' *tweak tweak, eyeing your stomach suspiciously, poke you in the shoulderblades*

my mum is always eyeing up my outfits (she thinks somewhat surreptitiously but is so blatant it makes me laugh) and then about a week later she says 'oh i'm after a tan pair of boots/purple jumper (something she spied on me last week) do you where i could get...?'

Oh definitely massive chins, PV....and she's being majorly stressful about whether they're driving or getting the train....so after I spent ages looking for, AND BOOKING, a hotel with parking outside the congestion zone, she's all 'actually darling, d'you know, I think we'll get the train after all....' and I'm all GAAAAAAAH......
Oh bless her cottons. Think will cheer myself up by trying to get her to take me shopping to buy me something summery. Imminent climate change is the only thing keeping me going at the mo....bring on the flip-flops, going out with no coat and evening drinking when it's still light - hurrah!

i think that they would be lovely with the right outfit, and on the right person...and for that price, if you like them, i'd go for it! now you have to decide on colour...if it was me, i would just spend hours deciding and then just buy both...:rolleyes:

only problem with the boots shoes is that the heels are covered in leather/suede i so hate it when you catch the heel in the pavement then it rips the leather grrr!

I saw a black white one in the Topshop sale a couple of weeks ago. I was tempted myself after i saw a girl wearing one and she looked really nice, but i just wasnt sure :rolleyes:
Anyway it was about £20 ish.
Not a huge help i know as Topshop sale items go like hot cakes, but you never know.

Has anyone seen this? Here it is on the River Island website. They have it in white as well which was featured in a recent magazine but I can't remember which. Elle, Cosmo or Instyle (those are the ones I have bought recently so I think it's one of those). What do you think of it? The white one is sold out now and I think the black one is quite nice but do you think it's too Sienna Miller last year? I'm a bit undecided as to whether to order it or not. I would have preferred the white.

Well, I like it - I do see what you mean about the Sienna thing, but I think you could wear it differently. Rather than going down the ethnic-y jewellery/chunky belt route, try glamming it up a bit - long-slung plain silver link belt, silver jewellery, delicate silver sandals, perhaps?. I have a dark green one which is quite similiar, and I intend to wear it with a shrug, a bronze sequinned scarf round my waist and strappy wedges.
ETA: Oh, and the DVF one is lovely!

Hmmm I think I've decided to leave it because I really would have preferred the white. The black one looks a bit faded and so too murky for the summer. Karina the dress you linked is lovely and Geek Kitten I think your outfit sounds fab :) Thanks for the opinions!
