Sorry O/T, anyone know manchester?

NO.1. Ask :
Sorry O/T, anyone know manchester?
I know this isnt fashion so i do apologise, but i was wondering if anyone knows of any clubs/bars in manc that they would reccommend.Im goin next weekend with friends and we have a diverse taste in music so im looking for somewhere that plays a mix or slighly charty music and where drinks are not to steep and where we can just have a really fun night.Ive been hunting on the net but found the reviews are really biased and unhelpful!
We havent seen each other since last september so i am super excited! Have bought new top and everything!:yay:
anyway would be really grateful for any suggestions xxx
Answer:
Hi,
There are a few places you could try:
Sugar Lounge in Deansgate Locks - or anywhere around there - but it is the more "glamourous" part of manchester so perhaps the drinks won't be as reasonable.
Deansgate - Moon under Water is a popular spot to get started, its a Wetherspoons so prices are a fair price with a few offers on usually. along this road there is also the Living Room, a club med and a few other smart bars.
Mutz Nutz - not been there for a while but usually has a dance / chart room and also an Indie room so perhaps you can spend time in each room to keep everyone happy. This is just down by canal street.
Satans Hollow - mainly an indie rock place but does try to play a mixture and does 5th Avenue.
The Printworks is really good, a couple of bars e.g. Tiger Tiger, Lloyds, Norwegion Blue for your vodka's and an Irish bar. also has a huge cinema, a cocktail bar, hard rock cafe and a club called Lucid. also has a tram / bus stop nearby.
Hope this all helps Hope you have a great night!
Answer:
thank you. that was really helpful.
am looking forward to a boogie and a few shandies now;)
any more for any more?
xxx
Answer:
Can't add any more I'm afraid, just agreeing with previous post about the Printworks, that's where I normally head.
Answer:
Boo Hoo, I'm so sad:( :(
I used be a Hacienda Baby years and years ago. But moving down to Maidstone a few years ago. I miss Home:( I wouldn't mind, there is only one place to even concider for a nearly 29 year old. Strawberry Moons. Cattle Market should be its name!!!:p )
Anyway, The Print Works is quite Good, but for a Fab Bendy night to remember, you gotta go to the Gay Village:yay:
You have some slightly posh pubs and some down right not posh pubs. Fantanstic:)
Erm I didn't actually see when this was posted so if you've already been hope you loved as much as Me;)

  • What to wear with this?

    NO.2. ask :
    What to wear with this?
Hi everyone. I've finally got my ballgown ordered!!!
It's this dress, but in this dark red (Cranberry) instead of the orange and with a straighter skirt.
I know it says a stole is avaliable, but they never mentionned that in the shop so I was wondering what you'd all suggest to wear with it? The ball's in May, so it won't need to be anything too heavy. I was thinking a shrug, but I'm not sure.
Also, what accessories dya think? I thought black would probably be my best bet, will probably wear black shoes rather than trying to get a match.
All suggestions welcome, thanks! BB x
    Answer:
Yummy dress! How about silver shoes and jewellery? I think black might be a bit predictable, and maybe too harsh....
Seeing as it's in may, some lovely open toed strappy silver sandals with maybe a crochet silver wrap?

Yeah, I agree, I was just about to say silver would look gorgeous with the colour - I love that colour, I've just bought a top in that shade, the dress looks fab :)
    Answer:
I would say dont bother with a wrap/shrug unless you feel really self concious without it.Its such a beautiful dres that i would just want to show it off.
Also think silver would be fabby some stunning heels and jewellery and maybe a nice beaded silver bag?
    xxx :)
    Answer:
no constructive advice to offer, but wanted to say that it's a really beautiful dress.

  • New Reiss collection

    NO.3. ask :
    New Reiss collection
Anyone seen/ bought any of the new stuff in Reiss? You can see some of it on www.reiss.co.uk As usual I want one of everything, but I really love the 'Asha' full skirt with sequins on the bottom. There's a nice skirt on the website that I didn't see in store called 'Nevada' and covered in sequins, and also a lovely wrap dress called 'Mikki'...
    Answer:
I had a browse through Reiss a couple of weeks ago but didn't see anything I really fancied though the store I went to was quite small. There were a few nice items but nothing that I thought I really had to have. I think I saw the Asha skirt and considered trying it on because it's really pretty but decided it wouldn't suit me. Last summer I bought a lemon very low back strappy vest which I love and they had that back in stock in a few other colours too. Thinking back I wish I had maybe bought the black one while I was there because it is a gorgeous top.
ETA: Just had a peek at the website and I love the Shalom and Celeste dresses!

I bought this top in pale khaki last week, and already have it in black, teal and a coral pink, slightly obsessive maybe but it's a lovely top

Oh no don't say that Karina! I'm even more gutted now I didn't buy the black one while I had the chance! ;)
    Answer:
Just looked at the website - thanks for that, there's some lovely stuff! I've got a meeting in London tomorrow afternoon, so I might take a sneaky look on my way (hope it doesn't look too unprofessional to have a load of shopping bags with me!).

    NO.4. ask :
    Do you like these boots?
Hey what do do you think of these?
    boots
I don't have any boots like these but for some reason I really like them. I was thinking mainly wearing tucked into tight jeans with a plain top? Or just under jeans? What does everyone think?
And where would I wear them? Would they be aright for the day with a plain vest top?
Thank you! Opinions appreciated lots
    Answer:
Sorry to say it, but I don't think they're very nice at all...they look pretty cheap and nasty to me :( sorry! *feels awfully mean*
    Answer:
Sorry, I'm not too keen on them either. They do look cheap but that's to be expected from ASOS but also there were so many people wearing this style last year and the year before so I'm kind of sick of seeing them. Sorry!
    Answer:
i love the style but also think that they look a bit cheap, what are they made of ..looks like felt or something! think they would be nicer in leather. xxx
    Answer:
No dont feel bad at all! I wanted peoples opinions.
Yeah I know exactly what you mean, I thought they could look a bit cheap too. And I was also doubtful as they were from ASOS!
I actually liked the material lol. But they'll probably be minging in real life because they're from ASOS and you can't expect much from that price!
Any other opinions much appreciated! Also just out of interest which colour does everyone prefer. Personally I think the black looks cheaper. Hmmm just looked at them up close and they really dont look that great!
  • would be people possibly be interested in sponsering me?; All the hats about at the moment....; Swoon - nothing ages as beautifully as; Hmph! The cheeky beggers! (a big rant and a bit o/t); Red scarf and gloves
  • Looking for long sleeved shrug / bolero

    NO.5. ask :
Looking for long sleeved shrug / bolero
Hi, it's probably far too late to look for one now but I'm after a long sleeved shrug or bolero (sorry not sure what the difference is :o ) but preferably without a tie front. Would prefer open or button. I've seen plenty of short sleeved ones but I tend to get cold arms so would love a long sleeved one. I've checked the usual websites eg. Topshop, Warehouse etc and haven't seen anything yet so has anyone spotted any while out weekend shopping? :)
    Answer:
I bought two boleros from New Look - in jade and white - but they have a tie front. But I know that New Look have quite a few boleros / shrugs, so might be worth looking at. The New Look boutique had a couple of nice ones too.
Dorothy Perkins have some nice knitted ones, but I think they're only short sleeved.
    Answer:
I saw some really simple pink or black long sleeved ones in George at Asda, they fastened with a brooch I think?
    Answer:
Promod have one, but it's not knitted. And it's pink. :D
    Answer:
I have this one from Warehouse, love the colour but they had similar ones in lilac and brown too...
