HongKong bag lady - tried to contact her...
Hi all,
I emailed the HK lady a few weeks back to make enquiries about getting a roxy made to my colour/leather specifications. She replied once acknowledging my mail and with basic cost information. I mailed again discussing colours and haven't heard back.
I know that the store is closed until the 22nd but what is the normal method of contacting her? I really am keen to get one made and ideally would like swatches but am not sure why I haven't heard back :(
Any advice - how have you contacted her/discussed your requirements etc?
Grid.
Answer:
I emailed the other day and haven't heard back, I can only assume that she has been busy in england and probably isn't picking her emails up. I reckon she should reply to you in the next few days when she gets back to HK.
I had to wait 2 weeks for my swatches... they are great though, worth the wait... so much choice.
Answer:
I emailed her last week too, haven't heard back but not too concerned because as Yingers said she's in England at the moment, I'm sure she'll be in touch with us as soon as she can :)

Hi all, I'm a newbie to here...but a total here junkie IRL, so was wondering what all the HK bag lady fuss is all about?
Sorry to be nosy, but I'd donate a kidney for a roxy :)
Answer:
Elektra, please refer to the designated HKBL sticky thread at the top of the fashion forum.
So....???
NO.2. ask :
So....???
Who met HKBL Fiona yesterday and how did you get on???
Answer:
:D
Fiona was really helpful and now I want LOADS of other bags. Having seen the swatches irl, I'm not certain the silverado I'm ordering is going to turn out the way I imagined - I wanted pale pink smooth leather but the pink isn't quite right - might get a different colour. But I have ideas for a Boogie-alike and Jimmy C mini bag.
And Yingers, she had some FAB ponyhair animal prints!!!
Answer:
Hello,
I didn't actually speak to Fiona (was way too busy meeting people and trying to remember their real and here names!!) but I ordered a Chole Paddington in the medium soft chocolate leather. So fingers crossed! I thought her Jimmy Choo ones were amazing - I'd love a little one for the evening.
Hi Petit Cheri - don't think I got to say hello properly so hope you don't think I was rude - it was all quite overwhelming!
Mimi x
Answer:
 Hi Mimicat! It was nice to put a face to a name, even if we didn't chat. The bags were distracting me hee hee!
Answer:
that was quite a turnout wasn't it? makes a difference from just the alkies :p amazingly enough i didn't order anything, and fiona ran off with my swatches when she left and i wasn't looking so i'm going to have to have her send them to me. i want them now  i have all kinds of ideas!
Name of new Nike trainers in advert?
NO.3. ask :
Name of new Nike trainers in advert?
Hi folks,
My boyfriend likes the look of the trainers in the new Nike advert, where apparently the guy walks on his hands to avoid getting them dirty!
I haven't seen the ad myself, and go to the States for a week on Saturday and would like to get him some.
Are there any trainer buffs out there who could tell me what these particular ones are called?
thanks a million!! x
Answer:
Isn't it a footlocker advert? Maybe look on the footlocker website. I think it's nike air tuned or TN or something.
Answer:
They're called Tuned Series 7 and I think the ad says that they're exclusive to FootLocker.
Has anyone ordered from the official UGGs website before?
NO.4. ask :
Has anyone ordered from the official UGGs website before?
My friend has asked me to order some uggs for her from www.uggaustralia.com which is their official website but I'm wondering how much she'd be charged in duty and taxes. Would anyone who has ordered from there before be able to let me know? Thanks.
Answer:
Hi there,
I know it kinnda off the point and not realy what you were asking...but....
UGG australia are an american company, over here (in Oz where i live) there has been a lot of fuss over them.
Here Ugg is a generic term - not a brand, all sheepskin boots are uggs. And but trademarking the word UGG, this US company have caused a lot of bad feeling over here.
It might be worth looking for retailers in the UK, then you wont risk the VAT in the post.
sorry to but in...only my humble opinion....
Answer:
Thanks Sinead :) I am aware that ugg is a generic term and that UGG Australia are using it as their brand name however my friend is after something with a bit more grip and therefore the essential sole. They are harder to find over here and at the moment the Ugg Australia website is the only place I have located them in stock in her size. But I'm going to keep checking Ebay instead and see if there are any UK manufacturers that do a better sole.
Cross!
NO.5. ask :
Cross!
I know this isn't really worthy of a whole thread and I know I'm just ranting but am v cross as have lost one a favourite pair of stud earrings - present from parents - little white goldies set with topazes - super annoyed, mainly at myself for putting them in my purse and then clearly forgetting they were there and taking coins in and out (mostly out) of the zippy bit all weekend without being careful....am such a loser! So much more irritating losing one than losing them both. Am going to get on the blower to Ernest Jones and ask them if by any ridiculous chance they might have a spare one hanging around anywhere....and they're going to say....."erm.....no, love"
Booooooo....some cheering up, please! Anyone have any good Fashion Moments this weekend? Or any tales of lost earring miraculously turning up, despite you not knowing where you lost them and being a general gimp like me?
Answer:
That is really sucky:(
Its similar in annoyance levels to losing just one glove and the other being totally useless!
My moan for the weekend is that my suede boots got soggy in the snow and my feet were wet and cold despite wearing 2 pairs of socks and tights!!
Anyway rant over , hope it turns up.Prob will at totally random time/place:)
xxx
Answer:
Aww thanks Numes - unfortunately I have a feeling I lost it whilst showing my parents round London at the weekend - so, it could be at any one of various tourist attractions around the city! Rubbish :(
Sorry about soggy feet - I was down on Embankment on saturday and feet were mercifully dry although quite staggeringly cold! HOW freezing was this weekend?! And when every magazine I read is advising me to buy kaftans and dig out my flip-flops already! V depressing. Please God make summer come quicker...
Answer:
What a pity about the earrings; I hate it when things like that happen!
It seems to have been a weekend for losing things - on Friday (OK, not strictly weekend, but who cares) I was out on a long-anticipated shopping trip with my wee sister and lost a contact lens when the brim of my hat flapped in the wind  There followed a surreal three hours as I tried to find my way about virtually one-eyed and, more importantly, decide whether the clothes I was trying on actually looked OK!
g_k
Answer:
LMAO @ G_K! I have a lovely image of you being whirled around by the wind, half-blind and hatless, ordering a mini-G_K to comb the whole of Topshop for the offending lens...
Did you buy anything nice? Or did you decide to go back when wearing glasses? ;)
