Clearing out wardrobe...
Right, MrBB is out for the day so I thought it might be a good time to clear out my wardrobe a bit.
There are some things that I've had for so long I almost think I should just keep them forever (e.g. a shirt my friend used to want to pinch of me 10 years ago, I still wear it). However, the other part of me says that some of the things I just shouldn't be wearing any more. Lots of them don't fit me very well or I've just kept in case I'll wear them again.
We live in a very small place and I share a tiny wardrobe with MrBB so I cannot keep it all, it's just pointless!
There is another section of clothing which tends to be smart stuff I've bought for weddings and things (including some vintage outfits) and I really do wonder if I should keep them. If I do go to any other event I'm likely to get a new outfit, which means I'm just going to have a load of old clothes stuck in the cupbord!
Help!
I don't know what to do, we might have to have a game of keep vs charity shop.
Answer:
well im in the process of sorting out my wardrobe and have got rid of everything that no longer fits and any clothes that are old and have seen better days that deep down i know i wont wear anymore i had to be brutal
Answer:
I think it's the way to go, I just find it really hard! I've cleared out loads recently and this is the last bit to do. I think the smart wedding guest type outfits are the hardest to lose, but I really don't think I'll wear them again.
Answer:
There's some advice on this thread, on clearing out your wardrobe hun -
Anything you haven't worn for a year tends to be stuff you'll never wear again (speaking from experience!) - maybe sell the nice 'wedding guest' outfits on Ebay rather than just chucking them, so you've got some money to buy new stuff!
Answer:
Glitterjunkie, that really helps. Thank you.
I did consider Ebay, but part of me thinks it's good to give decent stuff to the charity shop too. When I was younger I did all my shopping in charity shops and loved finding those great outfits.
Mmmm, I might have to just go for it.
Mulberry araline question!

Mulberry araline question!
Afternoon
Ive been wanting a claret araline for a while now (and been boring everyone to tears about it :o ) - there is one on ebay which I am *considering* bidding for. Now I know theres a lot of fakes on ebay which makes me a bit :cmdunno: What I was wondering is, does anyone know whether the araline has been 'faked'?
thanks :D
Answer:
Hmm, I'm no expert but the Araline is made of incredibly soft nappa leather, so I'd have thought it would be difficult to fake, just because of the quality of it. Obviously that's hard to tell if you're buying from Ebay though. I've had a look at the one you're considering on Ebay, and it *looks* exactly the same as mine (which came direct from Mulberry) - but thats no guarantee I suppose as fakers are so good these days.
I'd suggest just looking at the seller's feedback, and also the starting price - if it's been started at something ridiculous like 99p then it's unlikely to be real. Oh, and maybe post it on the Purse Forums - the girls over there are meant to be really good at spotting fakes :detect:
If I were you, I wouldn't risk Ebay though - I'd phone around the factory shops and see if they have any Aralines in, I think ArishMell got hold of her black one by doing that - or see if they pop up in the sales any time soon. It's a lot of money if you're not 100% sure about the authenticity hun :)
Answer:
Thanks GJ, the seller has about 15 feedback scores, all positive, however its not particularly a high number is it? The reserve is £150 (I messaged her), and she says the tags have been cut off as it was a gift from the mulberry website. If it was any other mulberry I would not even go there because there are so many fakes on ebay, but because its an araline (and there are not that many on there), I was considering it. But then again, I want to have absolutely no doubt about the autheticity!
Im kicking myself now because there was one on that ended a few days ago that still had the net-a-porter tags on, but I didnt get it because I didnt think I could afford it, however now Ive discovered I can *borrow* a bit from the house savings and Im itching for one for the summer :D
Answer:
I wouldn't even consider getting it after only seeing that one picture. At least ask for some clear closeups of hardware, screws, interior tags (both the Made In and the Mulberry with serial number on reverse). I don't think girls over on tPF are that clued up on Mulberries though.
Having said that, my black one was just under £150 from Selfridges sale last year so you are not exactly getting a bargain there especially if you are not even sure it's real.
Answer:
hi
i definetly wouldn't bid on it just from the pictures in the listing because there is not guarantee that these are of the actual bag you'd get, i would do like loony said and email to ask for more close up photos
i know its hard when you really want something but you should maybe wait a while and shop around a bit because another one with tags attached might come up
xx

Help me find this dress!
2 Attachment(s) OK, who's up for a Sunday challenge?! :D
I've just spotted a pic of Denise Van Outen in the News of the World Sunday mag wearing a dress which I have to have. It looks very Dari Meya/Mina-esque (I'm thinking it's Mina cos of the big button at the neckline). I can't find it though, and I simply MUST have it! Baggers to the rescue thankyouplease! :D
Answer:
Oooh I like that! I knew I would when I saw you had posted it hun, don't you start making me buy things again :lipper:
I will keep my eye out for it :detect:
Answer:
Could be mina or dari meya
If you can't find out where it's from then you could send the pic into look magazine as they have a bit for that sort of thing
Answer:
I've jst thought - Dari Meya and Mina both sell in the big Topshop stores don't they? I know you're nowhere near London, but a few dresses pop up on Ebay every now and again that people have obviously bought from Topshop and then re-sold, so maybe worth checking back on there?
Answer:
Sorry GJ - it's a fab style and red, what more could we want?! :D
Ooh thanks p_s - I often read those bits but have never sent one in before. I might email Look and Heat - am off to find email addresses now. Let me know if it makes it to the mag in case I miss it, that would be just my luck! :D
