My jeans are too big
I have a pair of jeans that I really like (and paid £95 for). However they are a 35" waist and I really need a 31". They didn't have my size so I have to wear a tight belt which spoils the hang of them.
Could they be altered to fit me, or is this not possible? What happens when they get altered? Do they cut some material out?
Answer:
That's quite a significant alteration, I doubt it can be done sucessfully and retain the intended look of them as well... definitely a tricky one.
Answer:
I think all you can really do is take them to a reputable dressmaker/alterations place and ask them for their opinion. Otherwise - sorry to be harsh - I would consider trying to sell them, on Ebay or similar.
I really feel for you :higgies: - I once bought a pair of Diesel Cherone jeans that stretched hugely and are now too big for me, and like you've also discovered, I found that they just don't look the same when belted. It was such a pain, I loved the jeans and I paid quite a lot for them.
The lesson that I've taken away from all this is that when I buy jeans I pay a lot of attention to how they fit on the waist/ass/hips (the length is easily altered). I now also do a lot of research on brands that I haven't tried before, here or on other similar sites, to see how susceptible they are to stretching/shriking etc.,
Sorry not to be more positive but I hope this helps. :meh:

Louis Vitton Refund Policy

Louis Vitton Refund Policy
I bought a here for my sister which she doesn't like. But I have just found out that you can not get your money regardless of receipt or not. It has to be returned within two weeks for a credit note...ridiculous
Answer:
yes alot of shops are like this....I am not sure, but I think if you buy from LV, Gucci etc in Harrods or Selfridges they have to abide by the main store policy...I know Karen Millen in Selfridges gives refunds when their other stores dont..
Answer:
.whats ridiculous about it?.....not a single store in the land has to refund you because you or the consumer doesn't like something.....
Refunds only have to be made if the item is faulty and cannot be repaired or replaced, and you must have proof of purchase and return within a 'reasonable' period - most stores state 28days as their return to store policy
Answer:
sorry that was a bit abrupt - had a long week! apologies!!
Answer:
Actually, I have to disagree with Manc-Lass here and say that it really annoys me when shops decide to only give you a credit note.
Most big companies (out of the fashion industry) give you a statutory cooling off period. By law, financial service companies (such as insurance) have to give you 14 days. This is the same for telephone companies.
If you take the goods back in perfect condition, never been used then I think the shop should give you a refund. Quite often things look different outside away from the special lighting of a store, or don't go with what you thought it would. They don't lose anything because they have the goods back ready to resell. They also get double the money because they can sell the same bag on again and still ensure that you spend the money in the shop.
One of my biggest irks!
I always check the refund policy when I buy from a shop I haven't bought from before.
Any Ideas????

Where this goregous brown top Elisha Cuthbert is wearing is from? or have you seen anything similar[IMG][/IMG]
finally got there I hope!
Answer:
I don't know I'm afraid (useless, sorry) but just wanted to add that I think it's lovely. Being a bit of a magpie anything sparkly catches my eye but I think the taupe-grey makes it a bit edgier. LOVE LOVE LOVE her bag too...
Answer:
Sorry, nothing constructive to add, but really like the top and bag and her beads too :)
Answer:
Just seen this on ebay :)
Round toed shoes
NO.4. ask :
Round toed shoes
I've read that round toed shoes are in fashion at the moment. the thing is I can't find any cheap ones. Does anyone know where I can get some with a heel? Thanks
Answer:
If you're only looking for cheap ones, New Look had some in. I got some in the sale too, though not sure what they've got at the minute?
Answer:
I thought New Look would have some too but they had a really bad selection. It was either boots or pointy shoes. They didn't even have any flat round toed shoes.
Answer:
Its probably a good idea to try a bigger branch of New Look as they normally have a much larger range than the smaller stores. Miss Selfridge do some nice reasonably priced round toe heels also.
Answer:
Yeah, know what you mean - there were more pointy toed shoes, although I got some nice brown ones? Prob trying a big store is best bet!
Please help me in my search for a bag!

Hi all,
Does anyone know where i can get a messenger bag ( think thats it called) with or without a flap front in a funky print or colour??? I want one to use as a bag to put the babies stuff in as all the changing bags i have seen (and the ones we've had) have been really boring.
