Kaftans?

NO.1. Ask :
Kaftans?
Has anyone seen any nice kaftans on the high street whilst out shopping?
I wanted to get a couple for summer. I know primark have got some which i might go back and check out, although my local primark doesnt have a huge selection  , so i just wondered if anyone has seen any nice ones.
Feel free to post pics if desired! ;)
Thanks x :)
Answer:
I got a really nice bright blue one from Topshop a few summers back, it''s that bright blue that's gonna be huge this Summer so am well chuffed with that investment. They always have them in, in nice colours - I think I paid £15 for mine, so add on £10 for 2005 prices

New Look has a few too!
I'm off to Spittalfields nxt (if thats how you spell it)
I'll let you know if i see anything Good. X
Answer:
Warehouse has some rather gorgeous ones. They're green print with gold sequins on. They're quite expensive, but I think they could be worn for going out, with skinny jeans and green/gold heels, with really striking earrings.
(I'm going off on one again...)
I found this one, on the website:
Khaki Kaftan
The one I saw was more glitzy though.

How can I make it fit?
I bought a skirt at the weekend, but it's a size too big. I know, silly, but I loved the colour and it was only cheap (Primark!).
It's long tiered skirt. It has a large waistbandy bit before all the gathered tiers start - but, if I sew the side without the zip so that it fits, the tiered bits will sort of stick out.
    I'm not describing it well.
Any ideas how I can fix it?
I was thinking to sew the waistbandy bit so it fits and then adding a rosette or brooch where the gathered bit sticks out? Too obvious??
    Answer:
Hmm. I'm not sure I entirely understand what the skirt looks like, but I think you could alter it quite easily. You can always take in the waistband, and then unpick the seam on the tiered bits for a few inches. Then tailor the tiered part to fit the new waistband - not a good description, but I hope you see what I mean!
I've done this on trousers and skirts and it does work, as long as you're not taking it in by more than an inch.

    Lingerie
Hi! just researching the current lingerie market for my final major project at uni, and am after views and opinions on the following: what you think of current lingerie generally, do you think there is anything missing from todays lingerie, who do think are the most successful retailers and designers, do you have any problems when buying lingerie, what do you look for in lingerie and finally what do you think of fashion retailers who introduce lingerie collections for example topshop and oasis and do you like the idea of being able to match your lingerie with your outerwear. Thanks! jenny
    Answer:
Hiya! This is my favourite topic of conversation. I'm the only wee-endowed member of my family and it's a nightmare!!!!!
Lovely lingerie around at the moment especially in places like Marks and Sparks!
I do think that some of the colours are a bit stupid though. Sick of just either black or white in basic underwear. I'm a pink freak so I'd love pink or orange. I know Clavin Klein and DKNY do it but I would LOVE if MS did too!
Marks and Spencers, Legaby, Love Kylie RigbyPellar and Victoria's Secret.
I find it diificult sometimes when faced with tweensie sizes and sets coz I differ from a size 8/10 on bottom to 34D on top. I had one expenience in MS that I was left waiting in a VERY cold changing room for half an hour to be measured. Very off-putting.
Comfort and support at the mo due to the lack of a bf.
Find the size range in topshop, Miss Selfridge, Oasis etc quite restrictive and find the deigns have very little support.
All for the matching of outer and underwear just wish I could find some nice comfortable underwear in my fave pink.

    dungaree dresses?
i was just wondering if any of you ladies have seen any nice dungaree dresses in the shops recently, preferably in denim. thanks for your help
    Answer:
I'm not sure I associate the word nice with denim dungaree dresses to be honest but there was one in MS in the spanish schoolgirl section, not sure what its called.
    Answer:
lol fair enuf but i seem to have developed a fetish for dungaree dresses do you know if i can find it on the ms website?
    Answer:
You might find one in Mothercare-I had one about 7 years ago when I was pregnant, but it was made so you could wear it as a normal dress as well (just tie the belt tighter and loosen it as you get bigger  )
    Answer:
I have actually seen dungaree dresses (short ones) in topshop. Not sure if there's a denim one though!
