sexy but understated dress
Later this autumn I have a wedding to go to, which I want to get a new dress for - plenty of time to go shopping, but knowing me, if I don't plan it now, I'll leave it til the day before
From what I gather, the wedding won't be overly formal, so just looking for a dress below the knee, and which is smart enough for the actual ceremony, but good for the reception as well.
The big thing is though (naturally not the wedding  ) is that I am hoping to wow a certain gentleman guest there, so whilst it has to not only all of the above, but hopefully sexy as hell, without being too overt. Asking for much, moi?
If anyone has seen anything on their shopping travels, please advise, or else certain shops which could be good? I've looked a bit, but haven't come across anything suitable yet!!
Oh, and my budget will be £200 max, um, I'm 5ft5, 10-12, dark brown hair with blue eyes/fairish skin.
Thank you!!

I'm the same size as you and I have a dress from Warehouse in the same style as the two Fabby Doh Doh picked out and it is the most flattering thing I've ever owned. I've worn it for two weddings now and have received so many compliments.

Is it a bit Bet Lynch? Will it last more than one season (or will it never be fashionable)?
I'm kind of hankering, here...
Answer:
Sorry ..
I don't like it myself ..
Prints are 'in' this Summer but I'm just not keen on animal prints on clothing at all! All seems to look a bit wrong no matter how well the outfit's been put together IMO.
Answer:
I don't like it sorry
Answer:
Hmmm....
Well, I quite like it, although I'm not 100% about the colour scheme; I'd need to see it on to be sure. What do you intend wearing with it? I'm not sure how versatile it would be; ordinary leopard print is probably more versatile IMO and even that requires careful dressing. I'd wear it dressed down with denim and funky shoes or boots - I suppose that you could also wear it with plain black or just possibly one other strong colour.
I do rather like animal print (especially on brunettes!) though, so I'm biased. ;)
g_k
Answer:
Thanks all for the honesty. I'm in two minds - it's striking, but it's not exactly practical may not be for everyone.
G_k, I am a brunette, and so far, I haven't tried it on or given it much thought. I'm going to go see if I can find it in a store this weekend and try it properly.
I think I just wanted talking out of it!
I want a Jacket.
NO.3. ask :
I want a Jacket.
Hi There,
I would really like a Jacket. I wear jeans and Gypsey Skirts quite a lot.
There are lots of them on the high street, but would like some opinions.
Any Ideas are welcome??
Thanking you Very Muchley:)
Answer:
A nice denim jacket is a really good staple to have. I wear them with skirts and dresses as well. The only thing it's hard to match them with is other denim.
There's a lovely one in H M at the moment which is quite fitted with big round buttons - it's very distinctive.
I'm tempted to get one but I already have SO many jackets!
Answer:
How about a brown leather bomber jacket - would go nicely with gypsy skirts and jeans? Or a cord blazer - you should be able to find plenty of these around? It's sooooo cold at the moment so something warm is a must!!! Mind you spring is just around the corner.............................. (I hope).
Answer:
Ah ha Blue Water Here I come. I always forget about HM.;)
Answer:
My staple is a suede jacket and a cord jacket - although my cord jacket died :boohoo:
Blazer shape is the most versatile - can be smart but also goes with the boho look :)

I'm bored and I should be studying.
Any one wish to join me for a game of word association? That may very well end up off the tracks of fashion ;)
Here's an example:

Trinny Susannah Boot Sale
Anyone else going to this?
I've got my ticket for tomorrow I'm all excited! :yay:
What to wear though??? I want to dress for comfort because I'll be walking a lot it might be cold but then if TS are there it would be my worst nightmare if I heard them screech across the car park "Good lord woman!! What is going on with your tits?? And when was the last time you assessed your arse in those trousers???" at me. It would however be my dream for them to say "You look FABULOUS!!!" when I casually linger by their stall!!! (Insecure desperately in need of validation by strangers, moi???) ;)
Answer:
What is this boot sale you're going to?
Answer:
The Trinny Susannah Couture Car boot sale in Selfridges Car Park in Oxford St. It's for charity they other celebs have donated their old clothes to sell. I'm hoping for a Sharon Osborne cast off - she rocks!
There was a thread about it Monday or Tuesday with further information if you do a search.
Answer:
OMG i haven't even heard of this  Does anybody have a link with further info as i can't find it??
Wish i lived in london - will be dying to hear what purchases you get :)
Answer:
