Should I, or shouldn't I?

NO.1. Ask :
Should I, or shouldn't I?
So, tomorrow is my 30th birthday and I have spent the last hour crying about it :o
I've really struggled with turning 30 for the past year or so, and tomorrow the day will finally be here.
It will also be my last birthday as a single girl, so I feel that in order to make turning 30 a little easier, I should treat myself.
I've seen a Mulberry Blenheim bag in a gorgeous pastel green colour and I'm soooo tempted. But, it's £395
Reasons for buying it: It's my 30th, it's my last chance to treat myself without having to explain why I spent that much money on a here to my husband, I'm bloody upset and I think the bag would make me happy :D
Reasons against buying: The money should really be put towards my maintenance and ground rent bills
Please help me out baggers - should I buy the bag to treat myself, or should I be sensible?
Answer:
What about just blowing £200 on loads of new stuff, then youv only been half as bad?
Answer:
BUY IT!
1) It's green (very important)
2) It's a bag.
3) Because it's beauteous.
4) Because sensible is boring - you can be serious when you're married and 30 :D
Answer:
If possible, buy the bag. You only turn 30 once and I think you are right to treat yourself!!
However, if it is going to result in financial ruin maybe go for something like a pair of designer sunnies?
I'm weak - I'd just go for the bag... ;)
Answer:
 cheer up!
I'm all for retail therapy, as long as it is effective... Will buying the bag make you feel better? Or, will you regret spending that kind of £££?
Only buy it if you LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

...a skirt like the one on the Bodyform ad! The one with the girl crossing the road and her shoes, bag etc keep changing.
It's green and has lslits on the left ad right at the front so it looks like the skirt is in sections.
Has anyone seen a skirt similar ?
    Answer:
That girl looks like Zoe in EE in one shot!
Haven't seen a skirt like it - sorry!
    Answer:
I saw it in TS but it was a while ago now....

    NO.3. ask :
Has anyone seen a cardi like this?
I absolutely LOVE this cardigan/Shrug as worn by MB in the OC Chrismukka (season2) episode...
    Cardigan
In particular think the colour is fab!!
Anyone seen anything similar on high street?
    Answer:
The pink one? I'm sure I've seen some like this, can't think where though. Monsoon? Whistles? I have seen them in green too I think.
    Answer:
It is a very nice cardigan.
I'm a bit gutted that I've only seen 2 of this series of the OC as they've put it on at such a stupid time and no repeat (our video's broken so can't tape it).
Anyway, I've found a nice cardigan on the Monsoon website for you although the colour isn't the same as the MB's one. Still looks v nice though.
I've tried unsucessfully to post a link but it's on the Monsoon website in the knitwear section under boleros!
    Answer:
They have that very pic in More atm, with a 'get the look' kind of feature. They've copied it using a pink shrug, £55 from Monsoon, and has a wavy leaf-type brooch. HTH, though it's probably just repeating what's already been said! BB x

    NO.4. ask :
Does anyone have a Mulberry Roxanne?
I saw this advertised on the back of the Foxton's property mag (ffs!) and reeeeellllyyyy like it!
    Well, I think it's called a Roxanne - I might be wrong!
External pockets and quite boxy looking (think school satchel), but the ad showed it in pink, blue and tan, and it looked gorge!
I am so pleased with my Sophia that I am already planning bag number 2! :o
I was thinking of getting a small one, and wonder - if you have the small, is it enough for all your stuff?
    Thanks baggers

    :flirt:
    Answer:
I know Flaky is selling hers in dark brown that the HKBL made for her (I THINK!!).
I saw her thread selling it yesterday on 'the other side'
ETA: Or are you after an original?
    Answer:
I've never been that kwwn on the roxy but I saw a british girl at the airport with a yellow one (I think it's one of the colours this season) and she looked really quite sophisticated with it and it looked quite nice. I think it would probably be quite bulky for me though.
I think Mulberry are also doing a baby blue and red leather ones this season which are lovely also, but again i'm not sure how I would get on with them IRL.
Fiona does do them, if you're not after an original one it may be worth asking.
    Answer:
i have a small one (called a Blenheim) in Gold Leather - its georgous. it is big enough (though not huge) to use as a day bag and small enough to be taken out in the evening. Its very basic in side, ie no pockets and no lining, but it has the large pockets on the outside.
    hope that helps!

    Answer:
I LURRRRVE them and was drooling over the coconut one in Liberty's last night!!
Mr Kinn HAS said that I can have one for my b-day (which was in January but I still haven't decided which bag I want!!) but now that we've realised that our "dick" (deck for all you non kiwi's :p ) will cost £3k, I think my bag may have fallen down the scale of priorities a tad :(
I really would like an original one as I think they'll last for ages and ages and are a classic.
Plus it's not THAT much money for something that you use every day!!!
ooooh maybe I'll get one for Mothers day......... (yeah right  )
Minky, would you be looking for Fiona to make you one?
I STILL haven't made my mind up about what bag to get from her :o

    Answer:
I travelled to work in flats but now I'm wearing 3.5"! :)
    Answer:
    I'm wearing boot today
To cold and snowy here for court shoes
    Answer:
less than 1" - wearing my ugg-a-likes today!
don't do heels unless it's a special occasion, and never above 3.5"!
    Answer:
Mine are 6.5 cm, not sure what that is in inches. This is a fairly average height for my winter work shoes, in the summer I wear more flats and for spring proper they tend to be high court shoes.
