How much is too much?
I LOVE my acessories! I love belts, jewellery, bags, shades etc. But sometimes I get the feeling I may be wearing too much:o esp when it comes to jewellery. So how much is too much, is it cool to wear a bracelet, rings, necklace, earrings and belt is that too much...or am I just being paranoid:think:
How much do you ladies all wear?
AMP xx
Answer:
I suppose it all depends on the outfit and the size/subtlety of the accessories you're wearing with it. If I'm wearing a really noticeable accessory like a huge shell necklace, I won't wear earrings or a big bracelet or cuff. Or if I'm wearing a nice piece of jewellery, I like to have that as like a focal point on its own so I either only wear that jewellery-wise, or the rest of the jewellery I keep really understated.
I never wear sunglasses so I don't know about them, but even though a bag is an accessory I usually see it as part of the outfit, so no matter what other accessories you have on, you can always have a bag.

I just bought a big shell pendant from Monsoon and will wear that on its own, as a rule I either do big earrings or big necklace...I always do rings (I wear either one or one on each hand) and bracelets, I don't wear a watch so it's either just my makepovertyhistory band or some matching beads etc...
At the moment I'm wearing a green chunky polo neck over a white vest top with jeans and brown boots, matching brown belt, a silver and green ring on my left middle finger and a bronze less chunky ring on my right ring finger, no necklace as I'm wearing long dangly green/ bronze and brown dangly earrings and some brown wooden beads on my right arm with charity band on left arm :)
I think it really depends on the outfit though, if I was to wear a simple outfit like long prairie skirt and vest top I would wear more accessories, when the outfit is more fussy I wear less... sometimes though I do think I'm wearing too much, but I love my accessories!!!!
Answer:
I like lots of jewellery on others but that much would look too cluttered and overwhelming on me.
I never wear earrings when I'm wearing a necklace or vice versa.
I also don't wear a ring when I'm wearing a bracelet etc. Actually I do have a bangle that I don't take off so technically I'm always wearing it but if it's not visible because it's under my sleeve then I like to wear a ring (only one).

:) I'd love to not wear a ring but my hands feel wierd without at least one, is that sad??
I think rings make my fingers look thinner  :hucks:

NO.2. ask :
Is it Wrong
;) My Dh has left his C Card on the table and is now fast asleep!! Should I order the 2 Jackets ( From Thread I want a Jacket) costing £105.
Advice needed, Judgement is Jaded due to wine:o :o :o
Answer:
This depends on how forgiving DH is ;)
Personally, I wouldn't do it, but that's because I've only ever had relationships with guys who've suffered from Acute Tittage Syndrom :D
If he won't mind, then go for it!
Advice jaded due to excess caffene and polyprotic acid thoughts - I'm more hyper than the Duracell bunny!
Answer:
I wouldn't do it, feels a bit cheeky (rude cheeky).

What goes with olive?
NO.3. ask :
What goes with olive?
I've just acquired a rather nice HM skirt suit in warm olivey tweed (don't worry, I'm not going to wear the jacket and skirt together!) - ten quid from a charity shop :D
Now I'm wondering what to wear with it colourwise since this is a new colour for me! Denim goes without saying, as does brown. I figured other warm muted colours, such as russety orange (must acquire some items in that colour!), peach, burgundy, neutrals such as beige and tan, possibly soft pinks and warm-toned metallics (gold and bronze) will look OK. How about black? I'm always paranoid about deadening colours with black; I can just about imagine wearing a black top with the jacket but how about the skirt?
Any views/opinions? And does anyone have any other suggestions?
Cheers!

Answer:
silver, brown, black, purple....
Answer:
You could wear a white top with the jacket and dark denim jeans.
Answer:
I wear olive a lot!
What works well (for me, that is):
silvery grey
pink (bright or dusty brownish shades)
black (if the olive is not too dark a shade, perhaps with white or another light colour as well to break it up)
white and denim (as has been said before)
also greens like pistachio - can be surprisingly good
I don't personally wear olive with:
red (I look like a christmas tree, although deep red would prob look good)
orange and yellow (look horrific on me, but don't let that stop you trying it! ;) )
blue-y greens like teal and jade
dark grey - can drown it a bit and doesn't have the contrast of straight black
mmm..some other good ideas on this thread...never tried purple or mauve...**kelda feels a shopping trip coming on** :)
Answer:
Thanks girls, some great ideas!
I hadn't thought about cooler or silvery colours at all - will have to try that. The tweed is quite a light colour and has a very light yellowy-orange stripe through it so I'm not sure if cool colours will really work, but hey, any excuse for burrowing in my wardrobe. I love the idea of bright pink, Kelda!

Edith's dress last night
NO.4. ask :
Edith's dress last night
Anybody know where Edith Bowman's dress was from on last night's Comic Relief Fame Academy?
Chiffon dress with red and pink.
I looked on the website but there doesn't seem to be anywhere to ask questions...
Answer:
I'm not sure but I thought maybe it could be Matthew Williams just because she is friends with Cat Deeley who is a big fan of his stuff.
I didn't realise she could sing so well - thought she was actually quite good!
The Chloe Paddington thread
NO.5. ask :
The Chloe Paddington thread
What are the dimensions of this bag? and what colours do they come in?
I've done a search (yes I follow my own advice) but there's info scattered all over the place on threads which aren't even about the Paddington.I don't have the time to trawl through dozens of pages.
The one thread that WAS about the Paddington has been deleted cos it was started by a former bagger who's left and had her posts wiped.
HKBL is gonna be making me one and I want to get all my details just spot on!
I'm currently looking for pics online and it seems to be more text than pics I'm coming across. Please post/scan any pics you've got of the bag in differing angles, etc
I've seen a pic of a tan one someone posted on another thread and I saw a cream coloured one on a website. I wasn't particularly taken by the shade of tan I saw to be honest though.
To anyone else looking to purchase one off HKBL I'd appreciate any comments in regard to the requirements you've asked for, for your bag.
Many, MANY thanks in advance.
Answer:
check out this ebay link, the auction is over but it tells you about the bag, shows close-ups etc.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...e=STRK:MEWA:IT
the dimensions of the bag are: approximately 36cm x 18cm x 20cm
hope this helps
Answer:
Thanks for that Stocko!
It's 36cm across?? That's huge! I'm sat here with my measuring tape like
That's not a bag - it's a suitcase!!
ETA: Doh!!!! Was measuring it in inches, not cms!!!
Answer:
I think there are TWO sizes - I was reading another forum where women were yapping about the Paddington.
There's a medium and a small sized one. I THINK the one you posted is the small one.
Must find out the measurements of the bigger one
Answer:
hiya,
it is big, isnt it? i was thinking of getting it until i saw a model in a mag carrying it and it was huge. perfect if you're traveling, but as an everyday bag, im not too sure.....it is fab though :)
