Electric blue!

Electric blue!
Bit random, but saw a girl the other night wearing a slouchy electric blue top with a belt over it, looked quite cool and 80s... Has anyone seen anything around in this colour, just had a look on ebay, but didn't quite find what I was looking for...
Answer:
Haven't seen it in Hennes, but trust me it'll be in there very soon! They have a cool section with funky fluro pink, yellow and blue stuff at the mo.
I love electric blue! I've got a cute fitted cardigan to throw over my linen trews later this Spring ready to be worn!
Answer:
Thanks CaramelX, will check out HM today. Anyone else?
Answer:
I got something last summer from new look. Its very 80's looking and i had forgotten about it actually.. so may try and hunt it out!

I bought a really nice going out top from river island and wore it out last night. I don't live in a particuarly big place, and I saw about 4 girls wearing my top. What's worse is this one girl wearing my top was also wearing black shorts and heels like me, and we always ended up in the same place. It was so embarrassing!!! It's not the first time either, a couple of weeks ago I was stood at a bar wearing another new top I glance around and the girl stood next to me is wearing it too :(
I don't want to wear my top again now 'cos it seems everyone else has it!
    Answer:
I guess thats the problem of buying from the high street, its so easily accessible that you're bound to see someone wearing the same item as you.
If you accessorise your outfits well i think that can make it less embarassing as you have taken said item and made it your own by incorporating it into your style.

    Answer:
I've made it a rule to not buy anything too distinctive from certain High St shops since seeing about 5 women in my town wearing the same green, tweedy, big button coat from Next last winter. What's worse is that my best friend from work bought it too and so I don't wear it anymore because we'll look like a couple of tools walking around town in the same coat :cmdunno:
The worst part is that it's the best fitting coat I've ever had - it's like it was made for me. That was the one year that Next decided to do outerwear in a longer length so the sleeves were perfect and it just about hit my knee (it was calf length on the other women that were wearing it  )
Oh well, I've decided to put it away for a few years and, by then, everyone else will have worn theirs out and :fingers: I'll be the only one wearing it.
From now on, it's plain coats for me, accessorised with scarves, gloves, brooches etc.
    Answer:
It's not a dary grey backless sequin top is it?:D
I bought the above top and loooooove it, have only wore it once and luckily only saw one girl wearing it on that night, but the week after (when I was wearing a diff outfit obv) I must have seen about 7 girls wearing it!!
    Answer:
Last New Year's I went to a friend's house for drinks. There were only four of us and yet one was wearing the same top as me! At least it seemed funny rather than embarrassing. The only other time I've seen someone wearing the same as me, a Primark mini dress, we just complimented each other :D

    Bad idea ?
I was looking at a few sites out of pure boredom the other day, not expecting to find anything I liked, and I came across these jackets on the Warehouse website. First of all, what do you think of them ? I'm really drawn to the double-breasted one with gold buttons for some reason. It's not normally the sort of thing I'd go for but I like it. I was thinking of buying one of these but I'm not sure whether they'd suit me. Would it be a completely bad idea to buy one of these with my body shape ? I'm only 5'1" so was thinking they might not look right on a short person, and I'm a size 8-10. My boobs might be a problem though. I mean, they're not excessively big but they're a size I wouldn't wear polo necks with ! Does that mean double-breasted jackets would look awful on me, or should I be ok ?
    Answer:
The jackets look really nice and very versatile, IMO. If you have have a large chest perhaps the first one with the conventional collar might be best?? But ultimately you would have to try it on to be sure - these things are really hard to predict.
    Answer:
I can't offer much advice on the boob front, due to my lack of them :p but I bought a jacket pretty similar to the one on the left in the january sales and considering i'm a size 6, about your height - it looks fine! I would suggest trying it on first, obviously, but I think the length of them works well with shorties
    Answer:
I really like those jackets, especially the second two. I think they'd all look fine on someone who wasn't very tall... it's just a case of trying them on - I've got a jacket from Warehouse in a size 10 and one in a size 14
In fact, the more I look at that middle one, the more I like it...
    Answer:
I really like the third one. If anyone sees a cheaper version let me know! God i hate being a student sometimes!

    Answer:
Probably www.topshop.co.uk would be the one for me, although I never shop on-line as I prefer to go instore where they have a bigger and better range and try stuff on.
I also begrudge paying delivery charges when I can go in store for nothing.

    french sole ballet pumps
has anyone bought these and are they worth £55?
these are the ones I am thinking of buyingballet shoes
you see I bought some gorgeous gold ones from topshop last summer and they don't sell them anymore, I wore them all the time and they were completely knackered in the end, with holes in the side because my feet are quite wide.
it seems that these ones are quite soft and pliable which sounds just right but are they durable enough to warrant that kind of money? My topshop ones only lasted three months, but they were less than half the price so that was okay
answers on a postcard please
    Answer:
I know this doesn't help much but i got some great beaded soft ballet pumps today for 14 quid in HK... they are the same as what I bought last year but a different colour.
But what I really wanted to say was that if I was going to go for a really nice quality pair I would go for french sole... my only trouble is i'm a bit of a cheapskate and don't mind having cheapo pairs of ballet pumps.
I quite like the leopard print ponyskin ones from french sole but 55 quid is a bit much for me when I can get something similar in new look for about 12 quid and don't mind them being cheap and plasticy or fabric.
Here's my ballet shoes from last year... the ones I bought are almost the same but a dark metallic greeny/bronze colour... they are really lovely and so comfortable.
The old ones have leather soles so I had them soled when I got back last year and the shoes have lasted really well... I think the french sole ones might have leather soles too so if you had them soled I think they would last for ages... better than a few months anyway.
    Answer:
I always mean to get a pair from French Sole but never get round to doing it!!!
Last year I got a silver pair from Marks and they are FAB and they have them again this year:
    http://www.marksandspencer.com/IWCat...uct_Id=1602710
The reason I don't buy really cheap ones - ie from New Look is that they normally are BERLUDDY uncomfy!! I do buy shoes from New Look but only evening ones that I'm only going to wear for a coupel of hours at a time.
as I live in ballet pumps in the summer, I need them to be really comfy!! Over the years I've had a couple of pairs from Marks and they've always been uber comfy and have lasted really well!!
    Hope that helps!!

(ps last year - the silver ones were identical to the ones from Top Shop looks wise, so think these ones probably will be as well)
    Answer:
Are you sure Topshop aren't doing them anymore? I could have sworn I saw some in there a couple of weeks ago.

I'd quite like some of the Topshop ones, haven't seen them for a while and there weren't any when I looked today...
