Gold lace bolero - outfit suggestions please!
Won this gold lace bolero on ebay last night.
Thought I'd wear it with a plain white vest top and jeans or a denim mini, maybe with gold ballet pumps. Not particularly inspired though so does anyone have any better suggestions??

I see where you're coming from with the red top suggestion, sounds a bit Christmassy though and I'm thinking Summer! Don't really have any floaty skirts, have a pale blue tiered skirt from French Connection, might be ok with a white top. Or I have a white slightly A line knee-length skirt with ruffles down the back - a lot nicer than it sounds! Don't know what top I'd wear with that though. Anyone else got any other suggestions?

Thinking of going to Cambridge for a bit shopping sometime soon. I'd like to get some Birkenstocks probably off Ebay but I'm not sure what size I'd need so I thought I might try on a pair or two first. Does anywhere in Cambidge stock Birkenstocks?

I recommend a shop on www.Ebay.com called Baumhaus. They sell in US $ so the conversionrate makes them cheper than buying them here also you get styles and colours not available in the UK. They can come up a little wide, most people go a size down i.e. if youre normally a size 5/38 you go for a 37/4 and so you really need to try before you buy.
I don't know where you live but places like Office sell Birkenstocks and so you can try them on for the size before shopping for cheaper on Ebay. If you live in London I'd recommend The Birkenstock store on Neal Street Covent Garden.

They stock birkies in sole trader which is in the city centre... I think on petty cury. They also have them in schuh at the grafton centre and there is an office shoes in cambridge too... it's quite a small branch so i'm not sure if they have birkies there, but I remember seeing birkie copies there last summer.
None of the ranges in store are great but I was the same as you... I want to buy some of ebay as they are cheaper but had to try them on for size first... it turns out that the ones I wanted (toe post) aren't that comfortable so I am glad I went to the shops first.
I agree with celondelon about buying off ebay and also going a size down... I found a seller about 5-10 quid cheaper on ebay (although they are no use to me now :rolleyes: ) and I also wear size 4 and the size 3 fit me in-store.

Did you know they also do slim fitting ones... not sure it's only with the madrids or if they do them for all the ranges, also not sure if they do these everywhere too.
Where they would be ideal for me as I have slim feet, at the same time I think the narrow ones look a bit wrong... dunno why.

Hi guys,
I start my new job on Tues (I'm still working for the same company but in a different location).
I have to wear my uniform as usual, but I'm not allowed to wear trousers anymore just my dress.
Now, I normally wear flats with my trousers but I think these look really frumpy with the dress, so I'm after a pair of shoes, with heels which I can wear for an 8 hour day. I'm on my feet all day long:(
The thing is, I think I have dodgy feet. I have a pair of black shoes from MS which have a 2 inch chunky heel and these hurt after a few hours on my feet.
I also have a pair from clarkes which have a 2 inch kitten heel and these hurt even more.
My friends can all wear 3-4 inch stiletto heels quite happily all day, why can't I?????
What on earth can I wear with my dress that will be comfy but not frumpy??
A friend suggested some flat knee high boots but I have a problem with them too.
I have skinny ankles and big calves. I've tried boots from clarkes, evans and Duo but that all just bag around the ankle and look awful.
I can't win really.
I was thinking that a pair of slouch boots would be my best option, but I can't find any that will fit my calves!!!

I think I would probably go for pointy flats or the ones with the tiny heels on them.
These shoes from Office are nice and good for work. I have these ones which although have a heel, I find really comfortable and can walk in them no problem all day, I think its because the heel is a bit chunkier.
If not, then there are loads of other nice flats and low heels on the Office site.

I'm sorry to say this but I think it looks a bit tacky, probably cos it's so small and it is predominantly the gold hardware that catches your eye.
Although I know that is not what you asked, so if anything I prefer the fabric colouring on the 3rd one.

I'm going to the Nas concert in Glasgow on Friday and need some suggestions as to what to wear. I am paranoid about my stomach at the moment so don't want anything that will show it off. Any ideas?

Anything goes at a hip hop concert. You can go in a tracksuit if you wanted to!
I'd go for jeans, flats a top and jacket. It's gonna get warm in there and you're not gonna stand in your coat all night.
