Daytime date outfit

Daytime date outfit
Help! I'm a bit of a lurker on here but I hope you can help!
I've got a date on Saturday, but it's going to be trudging round London all day!
I need a nice outift, but it's got to incorporate VERY comfortable shoes, be very easy to wear, be able to cope with the heat that's expected on Saturday and not show up sweat marks (sorry if TMI but I do get a bit sweaty especially when nervous and walking round a lot! :o ).
I'm a tallish size 10, with mid-length brown hair (and very pasty at the moment!).
I've got some nice 7FAMKs which I could wear as a base, but my trainers look a bit skanky with them and I think it's probably too early for flip flops!
Or I quite fancy buying a long skirt for the summer, but I think it's a bit early to wear that at the moment (not cold enough for tights/boots but too cold for flip flops).
Hope you fashion experts can help.

Oh dear this thread isn't inspiring anyone to reply :o
I can help narrow the options down! (I've been shopping at lunchtime!). I've decided that I'm going to have to wear my brown pointy flatish smart boots because they are the only smart comfortable pair of shoes I have!
So the options are:
(1) Brown boots, indigo 7FAMK jeans, a new orangey/brown paisley sleeveless top I just bought, with my dark brown moleskin(sort of) blazer.
or
(2) Brown boots, with a new long white gypsy skirt I just bought in Dotty P's, a brown t-shirt with my denim jacket and funked up with a brown disc belt and brown bead bracelet.
I love the 2nd outfit as it is funky and feminine and makes an impact, but it does look a bit fashion victimy and I'm worried about walking round London in a long white skirt - it might end up getting filthy!
Help!

Answer:
I think outfit one for walking round, you can save the white skirt for your second date when he takes you somewhere nice and clean :)
Won't the funky belt look just as good with the blazer and jeans??? Or maybe you could add a skinny scarf? or a pair of fab earrings?

Answer:
I like the sound of outfit 1) actually, I think it looks cute and I think a lot of people are wearing versions of your second outfit now. From what I know about blokes, they don't notice too much what you're wearing, although if you are freezing because you didn't bring a warm enough jacket or hobbling because you can't walk in your heels (you choice of shoes is def a good one!) they do notice that. I would just add some long dangly earrings to 1) subtly sexy and the shirt sounds like it is already quite distinctive so you don't want to overpower the whole look with an excessive number of accessories. The advantage of the earrings is that if you suddenly feel self conscious wearing them, you can always sneak them off into your bag! Have a great time!!
Answer:
I 3rd outfit one!
I reckon guys find jeans far sexier than long skirts.I also think the belt on this outfit would be great.
Im intrigued at what kinda date would involve so much wandering about tho:confused:
Just being nosy:p ..GOod luck!!

    Urgent fashion advice please . . . . .
I have just bought a black lacy cardie/shrug thingy from New Look but now I'm having trouble putting my "outfit" together in preparation for my birthday.
Planned to wear jeans but not sure what top to wear (I'm a size 16/18 with quite a big chest) so any advice greatly appreciated
    Answer:
how about a silky camisole with some lace edging, in a vibrant colour (i know i've seen some in primark). with some pretty jewellery will be perfect for a birthday outing.
just an idea to get you started...

    and HM :)
They have lots of longer length lace trimmed camis in lots of colours for about £4.99 :)
    Answer:
yes, I like this idea and will venture out at weekend although think silky camisole may be little flimsy for my ample chest but hey, worth a go ?!
Another question ? What sort of here is best ?
Going out Good Friday about 1.30pm so need daytime into night-time.
Anyone would think I've never been out before but just to explain, I've recently lost weight so my outfits can be completely different to the usual entire body covering outfits I've worn for years ?!

    Classic bag or new bag
when it comes to bags do you have one for every style or do you keep a classic like an hermes birkin and use it for various occasions?
    Answer:
The bag I bring is mainly linked to what I have to carry around with me.
    Answer:
I have got a classic bag that I use alot but I have got a few other cheaper ones that I use too to match particular outfits/occasions.
    Answer:
depends really - i go through phases.
daytime i generally carry one bag all the time (if i change too often i inevitably forget something when i swap everything across  )
but evenings i only carry a smaller bag, and i choose whichever one suits my outfit best.
just discovered a wholesalers across the road from my office though, and they do cute heres for around a tenner, always updating their styles, so i think this could be quite dangerous

    Both really ;)
Usually something really small for evening and other times depends on what i am wearing!

MS is great for food but does anyone here actually buy their clothes?
    Answer:
I've got some really nice MS skirts. Their Limited Collection is good too.
    Answer:
I love the Limited Collection for work, and some of the Per Una stuff for casual. I also think they do pretty good basics, like undies and vests. And of course the old thermals for skiing :D
    Answer:
I've got a few bits from them. I like the per una stuff and have a few shirts for work from there too.
    Answer:
i'm wearing a basic polo neck from there today - it washes well and it's smart enough for work
    quite like the undies too
