How organised is your wardrobe?
Mine is in serious need of sorting out!! I need to do something with it, my drawers are bulging, rail is sagging. I can't see most of what I've got!! Do any of you do the whole Trinny Susanah rec. of colour coding etc. I just don't know where to start!!
Answer:
I sort through mine once every few months, and it is always a tip! I just shove things in any old place (and often not on the proper hangers :o ) just to get it off the floor.
I think I need to hire a PA to deal with my organisational skills :D
Answer:
My day to day wardrobe is ok, but I've got stuff all over the house and under the bed too... it would be great if I could just organise it all so that EVERYTHING (clothes shoes and accessories) will all go into my one big wardrobe... wishful thinking though... but i'm hoping to have a serious cull on all my things when I get home.
Answer:
total, total mess, can't get anything into it, or out of it, my drawers are over flowing...its just awful
Answer:
This is a great thread...

Shopping in Cuba?!
NO.2. ask :
Shopping in Cuba?!
I'm going to Cuba for the first time next week, and was just wondering if anyone can tell me what the shopping is like?
I'm hoping for lots of leather, beads, etc, but I don't want to get too excited then feel let down!
Anyone got any experience?
Thanks!
Answer:
Sorry, but unless it's drastically changed in the last couple of years, shopping in Cuba is terrible. It's a communist country so there's no private enterprise, and for lots of reasons there's no real tradition of handicrafts. Because of the US embargo they have very little materials etc, so everything is very limitedThere are a few tourist markets in Havana and Varadero (maybe other places) selling beads and stuff, and ornament things, but it's nothing special. The clothes shops are mostly awful, overpriced and with strange selections. In fact I'm sure that a few months ago all the dollar shops were closed altogether. Cuba is an absolutely amazing country, but not for shopping (or food I'm afraid). The atmosphere, people, beaches, music all more than make up for it though. A lot depends on where you go as well.
Answer:
Oh, bum, how annoying!!
I was hoping to pick up some pretty bargains, grr.
Oh, well, its still Cuba though, eh? :p
Answer:
It is a wonderful country, I'm sure you'll have a great time anyway. Just do make sure you bring everything you might need, even toiletries can be hard to find, and are pretty expensive, and you won't find sarongs, bikinis, flip-flops etc like in other countries
Answer:
I went to Cuba a couple of years ago and there is absolutely nothing to buy - apart from cigars and rum. When we were in HAvana my other half realised he had left his swimming shorts at home, (why do men do that!) and when he tried to buy a pair he had no luck at all. There wasn't anything even as basic as swimming shorts. It is an amazing place and that more than makes up for the lack of shopping x
Yingers won't be back...
NO.3. ask :
Yingers won't be back...
... YET!!!
unfortunately guys, i've suffered a bit of a personal trauma and have extended my trip by another week atm, but might bring it forward by a couple of days as i've also got the blues and really want to come home.
So you'll just have to wait a little while longer to see what delights I have bought during my trip!!!
Answer:
Don't do that to people!! I thought you were moving over completely to the dark side ;)
I hope everything is okay with you though :(
Answer:
Hey Yingers, hope you are OK...
Look forward to hearing all about your trip.
Answer:
Hope you're ok missy...
Answer:
Sorry to hear about your trauma Yingers.
Looking forward to seeing piccies of your goodies when you are able to come home.
Meet !!
NO.4. ask :
Meet !!
hey there !!! so, how's about a Meet in September ? The new fashion is in the shops, so hopefully we'll all regain our fashion mojo and will have recovered from Bank holiday / summer ( cough, splutter) excess and be ready for a combination of shopping, eating and drinking.
How about 22 September ? that's 4 weeks away so hopefully most people know if they have plans or have time to re-arrange plans.
As usual, the venue will be somewhere in central London, handy to shops. Given the interest in the Marc Jacobs boutique I might arrange a venue over that way (J of the J I will pick your brain about locations).
And, those of you who come to Meets often, the last Meet I arranged did not have cocktails - was that OK, or would we all prefer the cocktail option ?
Answer:
the last one I managed to get to was Feb and it was the place you and PC organised-I really liked it in there,as long as there's somewhere to sit down and chat anywhere should be ok?I will make the effort to not be at work for this one!!!!
Answer:
Oh, count me in! Have never been to a meet before, so please don't laugh at my blushes, but I'd love to come along, providing its during the day.
x
Answer:
doh ! knew i was forgetting some detail. The usual thing is to arragne a Meet for early afternoon so out-of-Londoners can still get in and have a few hours before catching trains home so, yes, it will be during the day (and likely carry on into the night ;) ).
Answer:
:whoop: great, if its in the afternoon I can make it, have a birthday party in the evening already planned, thats all!
Which shoes/sandals with gypsy skirts?
NO.5. ask :
Which shoes/sandals with gypsy skirts?
I bought a gorgeous black linen mix gypsy style skirt like this yesterday but I don't know what to wear with it shoe-wise. I thought about some Birkies but are they still in?
Answer:
Please, not Birkies.... I have a real hatred for them! How about some pretty flip flops, they have some really nice ones in Miss Selfridge believe it or not! A bronze/gold colour with clear brownish beads on them (OK, the description sounds bad, but they're really nice honest!)
Will see if I can find a piccie of them.
Just anything but the Birkies - please!
Answer:
I'm not really fan either! I was just struggling for ideas!
Answer:
I'd wear something more delicate and flat.
Answer:
Oi nowt wrong with Birkies but I agree they don't go with these types of skirts.
I would go for a leather flip flop/thong type shoe. There are loads about (or will be once the sun comes out for good). I had a quick look on the Faith website, how about these :)
