What Do You Reckon...
1 Attachment(s) Do you like this? What would you wear it with?
Answer:
Not my thing i couldnt get away with it but its the type of thing i can imagine a trendy, confident model-type wearing. I'd put it with a plain white cami as anything else would make the outfit too fussy.
Bun x
Answer:
That's from miss selfridge... I personally wouldn't have gone for it cos of the gold and the expensive original price... it did look ok on the website but wasn't that nice IRL. I thought the gold sequins were a bit OTT garish.
On the right person I think it would look ok... perhaps with a white top, not too much detail as that would detract the prettiness detail of the skirt, plus some nice flip flops.
Is that an ebay picture? I don't like the way it looks like they've laid it on the kitchen floor or something... i'd never do that if I wanted to sell an item of clothing.
Answer:
It is from e-bay, I thought they hadnt done the skirt any favours lying it on their kitchen floor!
Do you think this skirt would work for the evening? What shoes would go with it?
Answer:
I think its a gorgeous skirt. I would probably wear it with a simple white top, and maybe gold Mary Jane style shoes, although I'm not really sure what shoes would go with it.

all saints
NO.3. ask :
all saints
I've just noticed all saints are opening a store in my hometown (Bristol).
I've heard the shop mentioned on here a few times but can anyone tell me what kind of things they sell? I've looked at the website but it's currently under construction.
I'm a bit excited about this (Bristol is very lacking in decent shops) even though I have no idea what to expect!
Thanks
Answer:
I really like All Saints, it's quite hard to describe the clothes they sell but they're mostly really nice. There's always loads of All Saints stuffon ebay if you have a look.
Answer:
thanks Karina
I've just had a search on ebay - a few bits on there I thought looked nice although lots of it is 'like all saints' but at least it gives me an idea.
The store is opening sometime in March - so should be soon hopefully! Can't wait!
Answer:
Their look is very deconstructed urban imagine Firetrap meets Levis. Very street like Diesel.
Birkenstock
NO.4. ask :
Birkenstock
Does anyone know where I can get cheap Birkenstock - ebay isn't particularly cheap I find.
also Iam usually a size 6 so I thought I'd beter get the size 5 for the normal fit. if I buy the narrow fit do I buy 5 or 6?
Answer:
Do you definately want Birkenstock brand , as I have seen so many copies cheaper in places like Topshop, River Island and even Primark :)
Answer:
Yes :)
Answer:
Do a search on birkenstock... I think one of smallgirl or sunshine fairy once posted a link to a german company that ship to the UK which were cheaper than UK RRP's... although they were about the same as ebay about 5-10 cheaper than the shops, so I wouldn't expect too much.
Answer:
I think it's Baumhouse.com - definitely Baumhouse something - he also sells slightly cheaper on eBay but charges more postage on the eBay stuff. Traminer is also a good eBay seller who sells a lot cheaper than Baumhouse. At least you won't get hit with customs if you order from Germany, unlike the US sellers.
I take a size 6 normally but a size 5(38) in Birkis. I have narrow feet but have only ever bought regular width, although I could probably get away with narrow.
HTH some, Jo.
Skinny Jeans - For boys???
NO.5. ask :
Skinny Jeans - For boys???
Hi everyone... I've heard from my SiL that her 13 year old son recently went out and bought a pair of skinny jeans (ladies ones) from Primark and he apparently looks quite good in them. Not because he's getting into cross dressing, but because it's a bit rock roll... wants to create a russell brand or maybe alex zane type look.
What do you all think? I was quite interested in seeing how they were on him, but haven't seen them yet.
Also, need some recs on where to buy skinny jeans as his gran (!) wants to buy him some more for his birthday  ... it's ok, he has asked for them  We had a look on a local market burtons in spalding, but couldn't find anything... are they more of a camden market type jobby or are these readily available in men's high street shops these days?
Answer:
Topman will do them and they won't be too expensive. I suppose ladies stores will be fine....but don't women's jeans button a different direction ? That's the kind of thing a 13yo would be mortified by.
Answer:
Topman groans with them I think!
Answer:
I love skinny jeans on guys, it was seeing Kings of Leon wearing them that made me want to get a pair. I get mine taken in to make them as tight as KOL.
HM do mens skinny jeans, Topman definately do. I've seen alot of guys wearing Cheap Mondays aswell - I think Cheap Monday's are the skinniest around (apart from Fizzy Jeans from Camden)
Answer:
Thanks everyone... I thought topman would be the way forward... although I was quite disappointed with Burton as they are like a bit of a topman ripoff or all part of the same group.
Ms DKM... Mr Yingers's suggestion was to have his jeans taken in at the seams... I did this for my friend's old chinos who wanted really tight CHIPS style jodphurs for a fancy dress party (going as a CHIPS policeman)... it was very effective and I never laughed as much as when I saw him wearing them after I did the new seam on my sewing machine... he could hardly walk but he reckoned the chicks loved it at the party
