Returning shoes from Faith
I went to Bluewater yesterday (and spent a fortune:o :yay: ) and I bought some shoes from Faith
However, on bringing them home, today I went to my local new look and found some similar shoes (that I actually prefer!) for one third of the price:yay:
So I want to return my shoes back to faith
Only problem, I live 2 hours away from Bluewater:mad:
So how can I return them? Do you reckon I could send them there or return them to my Faith in debenhams?
Answer:
I don't think you can return them to concessions unless you bought them there, I read summat about it on the back of a receipt once. Still, I could be wrong, you could always see if you're going that way ?
Answer:
Yeah it does say that on the recipt:mad:
Anyone know if I can send them back somehow or where else I can take them?
Answer:
I can't see them allowing you post them cos when it comes to refunding you - how would they do it? If you paid by card you have to be there to sign the refund and then fill in your name and address.
Where do you live?
Try calling Faith Direct (If you can flippin' get through) or the Bluewater branch tomorrow.
Answer:
Yeah that's true
Do you have the number for faith direct? I can't find the number on the website:confused:

Being a bit shoe mad, when I was in Borders this morning, a book caught my eye - it's called The Shoes of Salvation by Edward Monkton. The book is only about 10 pages long but it's a really good read!
It's a short story about a woman who's a bit bored and is waiting for something to come along and change her life. She thinks it's going to be a man, a spiritual awakening or journey that will do it... but then she spots a lovely pair of shoes. The shoes are very expensive, but she buys them anyway, she wears them to a party, and they hurt her, but she doesn't care cos they're lovely shoes. Wearing the shoes makes her feel complete. And she realises.... That sometimes only glorious shoes can save you.
This book is my excuse for buying these

Trouser lengths.... aarrggghhhh
I was in MS today, trying on black trousers for a funeral that I have to go to. The medium length were flapping round my ankles, and the long length were too long. Well, only slightly too long - I ended up buying them. I figured I could wear higher heels.
I'm not particually tall - I'm 5'8 but have this problem in nearly all shops! Dorothy Perkins is probably the worst. The long length in their normal trousers is too short, and their tall range is trailing on the floor.
I think I'd rather have them too long though. I hate seeing trousers that are too short on people - it's a total fashion no-no as far as I'm concerned.
Please someone, tell me I'm not alone with this!
Answer:
I have SO MUCH trouble buying trousers, I'm 5ft 10 and most supposedly "long" trousers in shops are still like ankle-swingers on me... Don't worry about the DP trews though, I'm 2 inches taller than you and they're still too long for me! However I like them this way, it's such a rarity that I get any trousers that are long enough that DP ones are like a breath of fresh air - I love my DP jeans to bits!
Answer:
I have bought a pair of DP Jeans from the tall range, that I wear with my highest heels, and they're ok then, but otherwise... I'd trip!
It's a stress that I could do without!
Answer:
I've got a similar problem in that standard length are normally trailing on the floor for me, but petite or short length swing around at half mast around my ankles, making me want to team them up with a white towelling sock and tasselled loafer for full horrific effect.
I guess the moral of the story is that trousers will only ever be the correct length for about one in ten people and the rest of us have to just make do!

I am now the proud owner of one as well, and I :throb: it!!!
Just wondered what tops/shoes you're gonna be wearing it with?

Answer:
Wore my green skirt with some ethnic sandals from Next yesterday. Got lots of compliments on both.
I'll also wear the skirt with khussas too. Which store did you go to? I want to get a black one but my local store (Wood Green) is always sold out
Answer:
What top did you wear it with? I got mine today from the Uxbridge branch.
Answer:
I wore a fitted round neck white tee. Nice n simple but it looked really nice.
Answer:
I've got both the green and the black, but haven't worn the green yet... I wish I brought it on holiday with me too and it was too cold to wear it back home before I left.
I wore my black skirt with a plain black slash neck tee and a green glittery scarf and my silver khussa shoes.
I'd probably only wear the skirt with the khussas or flip flops and a plain top... nothing too frilly or fancy... plus a fitted denim jacket over the top.
Just wanted to say Thank you...

I haven't been posting much but I've been lurking here for the past few months since I had a style-crisis - too many boring pairs of jeans, plain tops and trainers in my wardrobe, I felt like I'd lost sight of my own dress-sense. Reading posts on here has got me thinking more about accessories and how to put outfits together...and it's finally all sinking in!!
I was at the theatre and then on nights out Friday and Saturday I thought I'd make a bit more of an effort. Friday I wore a black mini-dress over jeans and replaced the belt the dress came with with a chunkier leather one and wore a necklace my mate got me for my birthday (kinda boho, lots of diff. coloured stones on brown woven thread stuff) and Saturday I wore an Aqua wrap dress (from Primark, natch ;) ) with a spotty cami underneath (white with aqua and green spots) over black wide-legged trousers.
I can't remember a time I've had so many compliments about what I was wearing - it was really overwhelming!! :o :yay: Makes me wonder what people thought of what I was wearing before...
Answer:
Makes you feel good doesn't it!?
Answer:
Awww! Those outfits sound nice!
Must admit since I've been posting/reading in fashion I've really thought a lot more about what I wear and how I put things together. I'm getting more and more confident to try different things and it feels so great when you get compliments.
Answer:
I've also found myself noticing what other people are wearing waaaaaay more - but in an interested rather than critical way, if that makes sense, I'm constantly looking for ideas about what might work together. But my biggest obsession seems to be looking at other people's shoes...
Answer:
those outfits sound lovely Viggy....thankgod for HB eh? I love it for teh same reason :)
