Stalling...

NO.1. Ask :
Stalling...
I've learnt a very valuable lesson about Hong Kong today...
Never bother mulling over something cos either...
1) you won't find the shop you originally found the item in... or
2) you won't find the item again.
I tried to buy 3 pairs of shoes today that I saw last week and they have all gone
One was a great pair of round toe ponyskin zebra print ballet pumps for about 14 quid - I said no to these as I already bought a pair of boots in the same material, but thought the shoes were fab and too much of a good deal to miss
Another pair was gorgeous turquoise suede pumps with flower detail - fellow bagger Valentine bought these when I went for a stroll round the shops with her, and I kept looking at them thinking how great they were. I just happened to pass the shop today and again they only had size 2/35 left
The third pair I hadn't actually seen before, but were a consolatory pair if you like... they were light metallic bronze pumps with a twist detail at the front - bloody gorgeous, but the only way to get my size is to order them and I will have gone home by the time they get them in
Sorry to have gone on a bit... who's a staller like me kicks themselves silly afterwards :o  ???
Answer:
Yep, i do it all the time yingers!!!
I could kick myself for it sometimes!!!!:o
Answer:
I do this too! I was umming and ahhing over two knitted shrugs in the Oasis sale in January, in pink and sparkly black, and I frequently regret not getting them!
Answer:
Yep definitely buy when you see things. You can always take them back for a refund - although beware of shops with stupid no refund policies.
Sorry that's stating the obvious a bit, but I once bought a pair of orange (OK it was a moment of madness!:o ) shoes from Shelleys and it took a fair bit of persuasion for them to let me change for another colour even though it was the same day and they hadn't even been worn!!!
so I always check their little signs now...

Yeah, I am the same... I always usually check refund policies back home... but they don't exist here in HK!!! You are damned lucky if you can even take something back... that is why I am so hesitant about everything.
I've learnt from experience that if I buy something almost immediately I am almost guaranteed to find it again at half the price!!! This has happened to me quite alot in HK now, but as I come here every year now, I thought i'd wisened up to buying stuff here, but have been caught out this time! NUTS

"...see these ice cubes, see these ice creams?"
    Hi girls!
Right, I'm going to sound like a right trainer freak now, but I really just want to find someone who knows what the hell I'm talking about because everyone I've told about my new trainers just looks at me and goes "eh? ice creams?"
So anyway, I just got my first pair of Reebok Ice Creams, Womens First Edition, Name Chain Flava!!! And they are so lovely!!!
I'm trying to attach a picture so you can see them - please don't slate them because I love them!!
    Thank you, bye! x
    Answer:

1 Attachment(s) What do you think of this earring??
I make it myself using white and crystal glass beads with sterling silver findings i purchase from ebay. I only get 2 set of the sterling silver finding since i just start doing this for fun. i think i am falling in love with doing the earrings and probably some other stuff. I make 2 set of the earring above for my nieces birthday.
    Answer:
i like them! very pretty.. :)
    Answer:
Pretty! Its always lovely to make pressies rather than buy them. How do you attach the beads to the earhook, do bend the wire around?

i used the round nose plier to bend the headpins wire around after attaching the headpins to the earhook. very simple to do and so pretty.
When i go shopping and see those earrings, i told my husband i can probably do better and cost less too.. some of the prices are unbelievable.
i did this one too.. for myself using 4 sterling silver eyepins and some jade pieces. i have to bend two of the eyepins to make it into a earhook.
    Answer:
I know what you mean about prices, i love Accessorize and East in particular but some of their jewellery is expensive for what you get. The jade chips you've used on that last pair are gorgeous!

    More praise for Primark
I know Primark gets its fair share of praise on this forum, but i thought i should share my bargains with you. I went in to take a top back, and ended up spending £20.50, and for that i got....
Two gorgeous wrap around cardigans - short sleeved, and fine knit, one in a lovely greeny aqua colour (slightly varying colour, rather than one 'solid' shade if that makes any sense), and a lovely bright coral / red. Both £6.00
A very pretty fine beaded belt in bronzey shades - looks like it's come straight from warehouse or accessorize - £2.50 - will look lovely with my linen skirts, worn low on the hips
And, some v cute crocheted pumps in chocolate brown, identical to the ones in office, but for £6.00:eek:
All i have to say is :yay: :yay: :yay:

 i never saw these yesterday, i'd love a brown pair. Have a black pair from new look and there so comfy.
Saw the aqua cardy and it's really nice, didn't have my size though.

    Answer:

I'm in the process of buying these bridesmaid dresses for my BMs and wondered if anyone has seen any silver shoes around in the shops yet?
I know metallics are in this season but are they all golds and bronzes?? If anyone has seen anything please post.
    Answer:
    This might help?
ETA: No it doesn't... do a search on silver and it will throw up about 5 pages of silver shoes... there are some nice ones on there. If you're on a budget, perhaps try somewhere like new look too?
    Answer:
    Or this
Hope it's not too tacky though, i don't know what range you're after...
    Answer:
The Schuh advanced search is excellent they have 5 pages of silver shoes  I just want my bridesmaids to get something they will wear again but I think we need to inspect them in the flesh before buying online.
    Answer:
I'm not really a fan of wedges, but I really like the look of the strappy wedges... I also like the round toe slingbacks (even though I find slingbacks uncomfortable :( )
If I was one of your bm's I'd probably play it safe and get a mid heel strappy pair, even if I wasn't going to wear them again. I think a more fashionable pair (which i'd prefer to go for) might detract the attention away from the dresses.
