Eek..today I bought some shorts!

NO.1. Ask :
Eek..today I bought some shorts!
and am wearing them now to type this and I LOVE THEM!
They're from Oasis, you know that denim type material (a lot lot thinner than denim though) really dark blue that they make trousers and skirts in every single season??? Well like that! They are long enough to just cover my knees when I stand up and go just about sitting down.
Love 'em :yay:
What do we think about them with these shoes but in choccy brown
http://www.riverisland.co.uk/product...lpguid=200217
and a brown wrap around cardi and a massive chunky brown necklace with some turquoise bangles?? Maybe beige fishnets too??
Answer:
love the shoes - just my type:D

    NO.2. ask :
    What shoes??
I need an excuse to buy some new shoes:rolleyes:
I have a pair of chocolate cords. They are very short and end just below my knee.
What shoes would you team with them?
I don't really want any flat shoes and nothing too high?
Also whilst I'm here, What would you wear on top?
    I'm a size 18 on top with HUUUGGGGEEE Boobies:o
    Any advice girlies?
    Answer:
I saw some yummy beige round toes in Zara today. Heel was about 2 inches I think, really really lush.
How about a wrap around cardi?
    Answer:
1 Attachment(s) something like this will make your legs look longer...
    Answer:
    Here's my two cents worth
For casual, how about a black top (well fitting) and a short denim jacket (a really well cut jacket with 3/4 lenght sleeves) The dark top will tone down your chest area and since the black top is slightly longer than the denim jacket, it'll give you a waist? For going out in the evening just jazz it up with accessories! (large eye catching brooche on your jacket and accessorised bag!)
    Answer:
Thanks girls, Some nice ideas there.
Wisetooth, like the idea of a denim jacket and a brooch, very nice, although I don't need to create a waist. I'm very curvy nd I have quite a defined waist.
Then again If I don't wear a well supported bra my waist can look slightly undefined.

    NO.4. ask :
What do I want for my birthday!?
    Help me, ladies!!
What with one thing and another, my birthday (which is my 30th :faint: :cmeek: ) hasn't really been very high up my priority list recently. Anyway, Pilot Boy pointed out that it's next week (how did that happen?) and added that I still haven't told him what I want, and please could I hurry up because time was running out!
So I am stuck. There's nothing clothes-wise that I want, I have a massive backlog of computer games to get through, there aren't any books, DVDs or CDs that I want (apart from one or two Red Hot Chilli Pepper albums) and I can't think of anything else. Apart, obviously, from a new job!
I did wonder about something like a trip away somewhere (preferably warm and sunny) but I think he was going to do that anyway.
    Help!!!
    g_k
    Answer:
    jewellery dahlink !
I think for your 30th you want something that you will keep forever rather than a trip away and my preference is for a beautiful piece of vintage jewellery. mr elliecat gave me an art deco diamond watch (but then I was a cheap fiancee as I came with my own engagement ring) but equally I would have loved something like an old fob watch that I would have worn on a velvet ribbon. Or a beautiful cameo locket with pics of my parents inside. or an old ring set with my birthstone and some seed pearls. there are websites an auction houses and the pieces don't have to be expensive (pawnshops are also good sources). in fact, for some weird reason, unless the designer is a name vintage jewellery is often the same price as mass-made high street jewellery stores - I know what I'd prefer !
    Answer:
It's my birthday next week too :D
I think that jewellery is a great idea. This site has some lovely pieces that are a little bit different from the everyday high street stuff.

    You enjoyed the RHCP then?
It's a bit of a toughie, and I sympathise 'cos I'm in the same position exactly so probably won't be much help here...
I know you have lots of jewellery already so in case you feel you have enough (?) my suggestions if you are after something keepsake-y would be some artwork, a gorgeous journal/photo album, a plant of some sort (my pref would be a cherry blossom but that works better if you have a garden!), erm, some shoes...
My list (not that I have one, I mean my mental list:o ) consists of mainly jewellery and books. Mr Dots gave me a present and told me about another when we fell out and he tried to make me feel better:rolleyes: :D
    Answer:
I was going to suggest a holiday or a trip away too. Maybe something of an "experience" like whale-watching or a music festival. (I quite like the look of this one in Iceland Iceland Airwaves music festival, Reykjavik)
Weren't you salivating over Belstaff biker boots lately?
Vintage jewellery sounds like a lovely idea, if it's not too much commitment for a relatively young relationship.
Not very helpful but I know in your circumstances I'd be asking for "a surprise". You don't have the awkwardness over asking for something very expensive and, well, I love surprises. :D
    Sorry, so not helpful.

It's great to see you back Puddy (sorry Serendipity!) - a lot of people have missed you.
    Answer:
Thanks Hun. You can still call me Puddy. I deleted my account because my PMs and private posts were being splashed all over another site. I felt totally betrayed and violated and because it came after months of abuse and being sworn at, I couldn't go on anymore.
PS I have just bought the bag!!!! PetitCherie this is all your fault for raving about your one! I couldn't find tan or caramel but I think the coffee bean is lush (pardon the pun!)
