    I need help for tonight.
    Hi girls,,
I'm going to a club tonight, and that doesn't happen often these days, as I'm getting old:o
Anyway, I have a gorgeous drop waist sleeveless dress from Miss Selfridge, and it's very short, so I have thought about wearing i over jeans.
    But......
The dress is greeny dark teal.
What colour jeans should I wear under, and should I fold up the jeans or leave them long?
What kind of shoes/boots should I wear?
    And what colours?
    Belt over it?
    What kind of jacket?
I guess I really want to wear the dress, but have no ideas of what to put it with?
Please help me, any suggestions are very welcome..
I will attach a few pics of dress, belts etc.
    The dress
    Closer shot of dress
    belt 1
    belt 2
I really don't have a clue with regards to what shoes coat/shawl/jacket..
    HELP PLEASE!!
    Answer:
That dress would look great worn over jeans and as it's dark I would go for a lighter colour pair of jeans i.e. not an indigo denim. I prefer the first belt as it's chunkier and worn low on the hips would look good - do you have any brown shoes to go as well? If not metallic type shoes would look nice. Jacket wise, do you have any brown jackets, blazers or a leather bomber? You could be brave and go out without a jacket but you'll probably freeze!!
    Answer:
Thanks, the tan belt is a good idea, and I do have tan shoes pointy slingbacks.
But if I wore a blazer (not that I have one in a matching colour anyway)
-wouldn't it look funny with the dress hanging out under??
    I have a fitted tan leather blazer..
Should the jeans be flared or not?
    Answer:
I think the tan leather blazer would look nice and I've worn jackets in the past where the top has been a longer length - see what it looks like, but I can imagine it looking nice. How flared are the jeans?
    Answer:
Well I have very flared jeans, HM's very flared.
Then I have slightly less flared ones from french connection, and lots of other ones, but most of my jeans are deff. bootcut or flared.
I don't have any slimfit jeans, as I find that slightly flared ones suit my body shape better, and look better with pointy shoes.
I just don't know about the whole dress over jeans thing, I hardly ever see anyone wearing it, so haven't got a mental image of it

    Purple Wristbands
    Hi
Just wondering what the dark purple wristbands are for? I noticed a few England players wearing them today and just wondered what they are for
    Answer:
Lupus, although I am not sure what that is  :o I guess its a disease of sorts
    Answer:
    Thanks A C
I had a look on the internet and it was either for lupus or a purple livestrong
    Answer:
Lupus is a bit like ME.....my sister had it badly about 10 years ago, she was off work for 6 months.
She is ok now, but it is always in your body so to speak, and can always return. It affects your joints as well as other things...many people end up in wheelchairs. Female suffers are also advised not to have children.

Thanks RG, felt a bit... ignorant. :)
My cousin has ME, she is constantly tired and flu- y, a bit like having glandular fever a million times worse all the time she says...

    NO.5. ask :
    Can shirts be altered?
I won a short sleeved safari style shirt with badges sewn on it from Mexx on Ebay and it arrived today. I love it, it's just what I was after for summer.
Thing is, it's a teeny bit big for me, I can still wear it without it looking obviously too big vut I'd prefer a snugger fit around my shoulders and I was wondering, can shirts be taken in?
    Has anyone had it done?
    Answer:
1 Attachment(s) This is the shirt - you can't see the badges or the straps on the shoulders that clearly but do you think this kind of shirt can be altered?
    Answer:
mmmm my mum took a shirt in for me once, I'll ask her how she did it.
Nice shirt by the way:) :yay:
    Answer:
Thank you, I'd really appreciate that :)
    Answer:
    Hi
It depends on where it "isn't snug enough", but it should be possible to get it altered.
If you mean it's too wide on the shoulders, that's more tricky to adjust than if it's too big in the collar bone/shoulder area.
If you try the shirt on and lift it up slightly at the point where the shoulder seam meets the sleeve, does that look better? (That's an indication that you have sloping shoulders (like me!).
You could try inserting a (thin!) pair of shoulder pads. Yes, I know shoulder pads are considered very 1980's but if you have sloping shoulders this may be the easiest option, and if they are thin ones, they shouldn't be "obvious".
If that fixes the problem, then you could either leave the shoulder pads in, or get the shirt altered so it fits you better without the shoulder pads. That's not too tricky to do, and shouldn't be expensive to get altered. It only means angling the shoulder seam down slightly, and altering the curve at the top of the sleeve by the same amount.
If by "straps on the shoulders" you mean "epaulettes" (a kind of strap arrangement going from the shoulder seam towards your neck), then that's an added complication, but not too difficult to overcome!
