Been looking for nice knee length shorts today in my lunch hour - TS have some peeeeeeerfect ones in white linen - very loose but only size 14/16 left (typical)
and I liked the black ones in reiss with the turn up but the pockets stick out! may go back and get them for work though and get the pockets stitched up. Just thought I'd share that with you . . . .
Are you white ones from TS short or knee length?
    Answer:
My white ones are knee length rather than short and they're that kind of 'Joseph' trouser material.

    I want yours then.

    Answer:
They are cute - very neat, but as they're white I'm worried they won't last another summer, so I'm hoping to get some more. I am so desperate for it to be warm enough to have bare legs. I'm fed up with wearing boots and my Uggs are almost dead......:(

    NO.4. ask :
    Nice Combats/Cargos?
My old favourite cargos are wearing out in the crutch  (well, I have had them for about 8 years!).
Anyone spot any nice ones recently? I don't get out much (see reason below) to shop to my heart's content, so any hints and tips welcome.
    Minky
    Answer:
french connection. i love their cargo trousers and just bought my 3rd pair this year at the weekend. I dress them up or down, and they wash really well.
if you go to ****buymail.com, you'll see them. unfortunatley there isn't a 'great' selection online, but you might see something you like.
Alternatively, I'd probably go for Topshop ones, which you could also order online.
    Answer:
I always go to High Jinx for combats, they last ages and are really funky without crap stuck all over them (eg. flowers and butterflys!) River Island are good too.
    Answer:
I got loads of useful suggestions here.

    NO.5. ask :
    Advice please
I have just recently bought a really lovely pale pink fitted balzer type jacket for spring/summer.
It has two squarish pockets on the hips and fastens with 3 buttons and is basic blazer shape.
They were selling them in our local shop which is lie a big cheapy department store that is usually full of rubbish but now and again they get some bargains in.
This jacket was only £5 so I bought it but should of realised that everyone would get one.
i was right and nor know a lot of people who have them so was thinking of customising mine somehow so its different but dont really know where to start.
was thinking of changing the buttons, maybe adding some sort of trim round the pockets but really dont know:confused:
Please give me some ideas to make a nice jacket look a bit different:)
    Answer:
Get thee to your local haberdashers and get some bias binding - it's perfect to trim pockets / cuffs / collars. Change the buttons, add a brooch or maybe a corsage...
I'm having a customisation spree at the minute so pm me if you if you need any more advice :)
    Answer:
    Thanks for that FP:)
I saw your bag in the other thred and must say it looks rather nice.
What color trim do you think I should use, the jacket is a pale pink??
    Answer:
How about light aqua/turquoise? Depending on the exact shade of your jacket, lilac might look nice too. I can't tell without seeing the jacket, but I might also be tempted to add the binding on the collar/lapels as well - could be overkill on the wrong style though!
    g_k
    Answer:
It depends on the look you want. If you want it to be summery go for the colours geek_kitten suggested, or white or (only on certain shades of pink!) cream or camel.
If you are wanting it to be more suited for the latter end of the year, maybe try a moss green or a brown :)
