Forget Primark - Peacocks rocks!
As I remember it Peacocks used to be a kind of cheap and skanky shop. I decided to go and take a look in there for the first time in years this week and I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised!
I bought
A gorgeous brown crochet bag with sequin trim on the handles for £4
A beautiful pair of brown sequin and beaded khussa shoes for £12
A gorgeous brown top with sequin decoration for £10
2 lovely summery turquise tops - one with white bead and lace detail around it for £5 and the other is a really light linen like crinkle top for £8.
Bargains - and they do student discount too!
I also have my eye on a few pairs of wedges and some other tops I spotted too, might just have to go back for more!
Anyone else bought any Peacocks bargains?

Yeah my hsemate raids Peacocks on a regular basis and has some nice things from there.

You know those wedges you posted about that you ordered from Next (I think)? They've got some very similar with the same sort of heel. I think I might have to buy them if they have my size next time I'm there.

Really? Well I haven't worn them yet (wrong weather) but if the Peacock ones are just as nice, it'd make sense for me to send the Next ones back and get the other ones!

I've become their biggest fan since they put a concession inside my local Somerfields. I picked up a fab pair of wedges for £8 there last week.

Hi ladies
I am currently looking for a gold silk scarf (skinny type) to wear tied round my neck at a wedding on 16th April - i have been looking whenever i'm out and about but to no avail.
I have also checked ebay.
Can anyone advise? (trawling the shops with a big fat belly is not much fun)

Gold, pink cream leather latice round toe shoes - TS (look perfect with shorts!)
Cream cashmere long line slouch summer jumper - Reiss
Another (!) pair of black cropped trousers from Reiss - side legged with turnups - Reiss
Wide dark and light brown weave belt - Hennes
And to top it off a copy of elle which I wil now read!!!!

I was in Manchester's Topshop in the Arndale Centre yesterday and tried on a really nice pair of calf boots, soft leather in blue, with mid wooden heel.
The lights decided to overheat and smoke was pouring out, The fire alarm was sounded and i had to be dragged out the shop by my bf, leaving my precious boots behind :( and we had to leave and com back to Brum
Why is it now i want these boots so much now!!!!
Whats the bet they won't have them in Birmingham?

Sorry if I'm stating the obvious, but have you tried the website? If they're not on there, maybe it'd be possible for your local branch to get them sent to you from Manchester? I did that with a skirt last year.

Can your local store not order them in for you. I did that with some cowboy boots - by the time i got round to getting them they didn't have my size, but she said she could order them in for me.
