belts for big hips!!
hello everyone,
i dont usually wear belts because i have size 16 hips and every shop seems to only do belts to fit a small child or regular size 12. since i am neither, i would like to know where to get a belt, a good quality one, such as the new style ones that will snugly fit on my hips, which as i say are curvy ;) :rolleyes:

My mate picked up a lovely belt in Evans (yes, the fat shop). She had to have the end cut new holes punched in the cobbler, but it looks great, cost her a tenner including alterations is real leather!

They had some lovely belts in Etams (Birmingham Bullring branch if that helps!), really gorgeous chunky brown ones!
They were by Ann Klein or something like that, in the 16+ section.
I was gutted that it was a bit too big for me:(

I have a gorgeous brown woven leather belt from Topshop! I'm a size 16-18 but this belt still has lots of room, they do them in different sizes I think. Failing that I also have some cool belts from DP's.

calling the Evans the FAT shop isn't friendly!
DPs have belts in S, M and L and they are generous.
Also try PRIMARK, although not leather, they have a lovely selection and just try - I have the same problem.
ETAMS have them in the PLUS section as someone mentioned - but I think these are sized too!

This might seem a silly question but I have never ordered anything from abroad before:o . How would I know if a parcel was held up at customs? Would I get a note through my door? I am waiting for my Kiwi-sheepskin boots and I am quite impatient:o

Did you get a tracking number when you ordered them? If so, check online and it will say whether the parcel is with customs or not. If they are coming from NZ they will take ages anyway. How long has it been since you ordered?

Thank you for replying. They were dispatched last Tuesday but I am guessing the bank holiday has held them up a bit too. I didn't get a tracking number from them - they said they would be sent standard Royal Mail from this end. Because I didn't get a tracking number that was what made me think how would they contact me / how would I know if it was held at customs. I guess I should just wait!!

if you have a tracking number you will know but if it is normal post without track and trace you just have to hold your breath and wait.

I didn't even know they had a website - I could've just had a quick browse for pricing guidelines before I bidded... argh silly me! It'd be a little bit more than the bag you linked to because it's real leather and the one in the link is synthetic. But yeah I probably didn't get a bargain...
I'm going to avoid going anywhere near shops that sell Nine West bags now.. in case I find out its real price is the same/less than what I'm paying.. that would be painful.

I wouldn't worry too much... nine west leather bags are quite nice and decent quality too. They also aren't that cheap... even if you did pay a couple more quid than you would have RRP at least it's something you like just what you've been looking for.
Ninewest is slightly more expensive in this country, I think their leather bags are about £50-£60... although this one looks a bit smaller so about £40 is probably about right for the original RRP.
