Baby Carrier
Hello,
I have been trying to gauge from my mate who's expecting a little boy (her first), what would be a useful baby shower gift.
She suggested a baby carrier so I'm now on the hunt!
I want to get something really nice that is also practical and as her partner will be using it as well nothing too girly!
Baby shops are still a bit of a minefield to me once I get passed the clothes so any advice on makes and decent shops would be very much appreciated!

I had (well still in the loft so have) the Babybjorn one which is excellent. It is a little more pricey than some at £49, but I think it's well worth it.
Others recommend the Wilkinet which is more of a papoosey type thing which has ties rather than clips like most, and is made of cotton fabric, and wouldn't look out of place on a commune. They are supposed to be very good, especially for tiny babies who don't fit the normal ones.
I'm not sure which ones they stock, but kiddicare.com are usually very competitive on price, and they do free delivery.

Meant to post this before but I forgot and only just remembered :rolleyes:
Anyway, I posted a while ago about what to wear with duck egg blue - here's the dress in question (its lacy overskirt is denser and the whole thing looks much more bluey than brown IRL than it does in this terrible photo). It looks nicer on too, honest!
I want some silver sandals to go with it (have seen some I love in River Island - all the fault of Miss Sweetcheeks posting pics!) but I'm still not 100% on what to wear on top. My little brown shrug or silver cardie go fine, but look a bit wintry - any views on pinks? I've got a pretty baby pink 3/4 length sleeved fifties' style cardigan plus some hot pink/cerise ones. I can't make up my mind about pink - need some help here ladies!
