Where can i find?
Hey all,
I havent posted in ages as i have had probs with the internet for 3 weeks! Missed out on lots of bagging!
Anyway, i was wondering if anyone can help me?
I desperately need a black ra ra skirt to complete an outfit that i have planned for a party. I remember a few months ago ra ra skirts were everywhere, and i should have got one then, but they seem to have totally disappeared now.
Does anyone know where i can find one?
Thanks

Pumps or sandals?
NO.2. ask :
Pumps or sandals?
Morning fashionistas!
I want a pair of silver shoes to wear with my new dress and have settled on something flattish since I already have some strappy silver heels. Now the great question is whether I should get pumps or a pair of sandals (like these - Miss Selfrisge also allegedly have something a bit similiar). Any views on what you would prefer, or has anyone seen anything suitable for around £30 tops?
Cheers!

Answer:
Oooh, I like those gladiator flats - v cute.
Tricky question... I really like the idea of silver ballet pumps/flats too! Both are really versatile, but I suppose you could def wear the ballet pumps into the autumn.
Answer:
Yes, that's the thing!! I think I'd prefer sandals on the whole, but then I can only wear them in the summer (or whatever approximation we get up here). Baaahh.... Decisions, decisions!
Of course, I *could* get the sandals now and some pumps later..
No no no, evil thoughts, must resist, must resist.....

Answer:
I'm not keen on those RI sandals at all. I personally would go for pumps rather than sandals... but i'm only saying that cos I got the greatest pair of flat silver (with a hint of grey) pumps in HK... pics to follow!
I'm also wearing my silver khussa's with everything at the moment... I suppose they're pump-like.
I wouldn't write-off sandals completely though... i'm probably not in the correct frame of mind considering it's too cold to be wearing them atm! Have you got a pic of the dress?
Answer:
I'm not keen on khussas - they look lovely but I can't find a pair to fit properly and given the amount of walking I do, they'll fall to bits in no time.
Here is a really bad pic of the dress - the colour is quite different in real life and it looks much nicer on. I tried it with a pair of pumps (wrong colour though) and it looks OK with flats, although something with a slight heel might be better. I also want whatever I buy to go with the rest of my summer gear - jeans, cropped trousers, skirts, etc. Don't ask much, do I!

Happy Magazine?

Happy Magazine?
Saw an advert for this magazine this morning, but couldn't hear what it's about (screaming niece). Has anyone else seen it?
Answer:
Yeah I've just seen this advert a couple of times tonight, it's a magazine devoted to shopping wohoo! :)
I've asked my mum to get it from Sainsburys tonight so I'll just have to wait and see whether they have it in or not, probably not knowing my luck!
Answer:
Cool - just saw the ad during Supernanny (what a load of brats!!). I'm gonna have a flick through it tomorrow in WHsmith :)
Answer:
just found this website:

Answer:
Cool website. I'm liking the city and online shopping guides.
ETA: I hope this won't be another Glamour with loads of unaffordable items in it from high end designers.
Who's wotless enough to WANT to spend £1,200 on this for a start
Looking for a navy/white striped (pref stretchy) blazer
NO.4. ask :
Looking for a navy/white striped (pref stretchy) blazer
Hi dudes!
Am after picking your brains for some sort of (cheap!) summer blazer - am going to be wearing it with cream linen trousers and tan/wooden accessories in a kind of Ralph-Lauren-meets-the-nice-bits-of-Hilfiger-meets-Pimms-and-a-sea-view kind of way for a garden party type thing. I'd like either a plain navy cotton one or a navy and white striped one ("nautical" stripes as opposed to pinstripes). There's a photo from one of the shows, poss Matthew Williamson, in one of this month's mags, of what looks like Jaquetta Wheeler wearing a beautiful one with a pink t-shirt underneath and a chiffon scarf as a belt. Am rambling now so am off to scour eBay and pray that some of you lovely ladies have seen something similar. Many thanks and big love :)
P.S. There is a nice one in HM at the mo - in thin pink/white or baby blue/white stripes - would be perfect if was navy stripes but alas
Answer:
Hi Lauren,
I'd be wary of a stretchy striped blazer as the stripes could look very odd if you have even a hint of curves!
I have a cute pale blue / white striped one from Urban Outfitters, but the stripes are very fine. Despite the whole sailor look being supposedly very in - there is very little of this stuff in the shops - I am struggling to find any decent striped T Shirts and my old ones are getting very worn looking!
Good Luck on your search - Zara had a lot of stripey blazers last summer so could well be worth a look.

Answer:
Thanks Mimi! - I know, I was a bit wary about stripes (and I am after vertical, not horizontal!) but then I tried on this one from HM the other day and it was surprisingly flattering. And when I saw stretch, I just mean a little bit of "give" really, just to make sure I can do up the buttons over my ahem rather ample bosoms (as yer mum would call 'em). Somebody else suggested Urban Outfitters, actually, and could pop to Zara in my lunch hour - ooooh lovely....
Thanks for your help dude - much appreciated! :)
P.S. I know what you mean about nautical - I have this feeling that it's there in the background, waiting, and that it's all of a sudden going to go huge in the high st - shops flooded with brass buttons and navy, hello sailor hats, those dreaful anchor designs etc so am trying to get a tad in before it all goes the way of prairie skirts and boho!
Answer:
I think you're right it'll sudenly explode and we won't be able to move for the bloody things!!
Good Luck with the hunt!

A couple of quick Q's ....
NO.5. ask :
A couple of quick Q's ....
I'm coming up to London next Friday with work and I was hoping to have a look around the shops afterwards. My work commitments will finish at about 4pm and I'll be in Euston so I was hoping to be in Oxford Circus by 4.30pm. I want to hit Topshop (obviously) and also Zara, Mango and Reiss. Could anyone tell me which branches are the largest and best for having lots of stock in? Also does anyone know what time the shops close generally? I'm thinking about 7pm-ish - is this right?
Thanks my beauties :)
Answer:
ooooooooh do the shops opentill 7 i never knew this, im going to london in a couple of weeks :yay:
Answer:
[not really here]topshop is open until 8 and mango should be as well.[/not really here]
Answer:
Hi Toosh
The Oxford Circus branch of Top Shop is far and away the biggest in terms of size.
The Zara at Oxford Circus isn't as good as the one on Regent Street or the one further up Oxford Street near Bond Street tube (this one's the flagship I think).
The Mango at Oxford Circus is big but I always find it a bit of a pain as it has lots of stairs and seems to get ridiculously hot to trek - I prefer the one on Regent St (next to Zara).
There's a big Reiss near Top Shop (sort of round the back) in Market Place, which also has several bars and a nice Carluccios cafe where you can reward yourself for your efforts.
hope this helps!
Answer:
Hello Annanas,
Was thinking of you this morning - come back!!
Toosh:
If you're at Oxford Circus there's a huge Reiss at Market Place just behind Topshop which I think is the biggest one and Mango opposite Topshop. Reiss closes earlier than other shops so I'd go there first and there's also a big All Saints diagonally opposite. There is a big Zara on the other side of Oxford Circus next to the huge Hennes. If you keep walking down from Zara there's a massive French Connection and Gap on the same side of the road before you get to Selfridges.
Are you getting the train back from Paddington?? If so the 7 and 23 buses (along with a couple more) go from outside Selfridges straight to Paddington.
Hope that helps, have a lovely time.
Mimi x
