Does an interest in fashion mean you're shallow?
I ask this because we have a new member of staff in our office. My (female) colleagues and I were talking about shoes. The new member of staff pipes up that she can't stand this 'girly' talk and 'if it's not shoes, it's bags...'. The inference being that we were shallow girlies with nothing better to talk about.
Now, I am interested in fashion. I like nice clothes, shoes and bags. I am by no means glamorous, but I like to make the best of myself because it makes me feel more confident. I am interested on a more abstract level in design.
I am well educated with a serious job. I wouldn't have judged myself as shallow (dunno, maybe I am!). I see fashion as a hobby that cheers me up.
So, are we shallow ladies? ;)
Answer:
I think everyones shallow to some extend, oh hang on im thinking about vain:D
This is the definition: Lacking depth of intellect, emotion, or knowledge
You get shallow people who dont like fashion....sounds like your workmate was one of these:D
Answer:
no it doesn't-only a shallow person would think that!
Answer:
I don't think so, if how you look is all you care about then maybe.
Answer:
No! this workmate of yours clearly hasn't seen the light. I think you need to help her! :D
slightly o/t Is anyone going to Bicester soon?
NO.2. ask :
slightly o/t Is anyone going to Bicester soon?
Hello,
I was wondering if I could beg a favour from anyone planning a visit.
I've fallen in love with Cath Kidston's pink star range and want to buy some kitchen bits... However, the are sold out on the site and no longer available in any of the London stores.
I phoned up Bicester and they apparently have quite a few in but I have no way of getting there in the next 4 weeks and won't send them out in the post :boohoo:
If anyone happens to be going in the next few weeks could pick me up 2 I would be eternally grateful and happy to reimburse you immediately via paypal.
Answer:
Hey MsInnocent
I'm likely to be going in the next couple of weeks.......I will try looking out for you, if there's any stock left!
HTH :)

Hi Irishwench :)
That's really kind of you to offer, thank you so much!
However, I am now going to *try* and go there this thursday myself; I'm now driving from Manchester to London rather than getting the train. But I'm in university until 12 and then I'll have to pack my car. If traffic's ok, hopefully I'll get to Bicester in plenty of time to nip into Cath Kidston :fingers:
If not you'll probably receive a begging pm from me on Friday!
My needing a pink oven glove wasn't the entire reason for the change in plans but it did contribute... :o

MyWardrobe - any discounts?
NO.3. ask :
MyWardrobe - any discounts?
Evening Ladies
Just wondering if anyone would have any codes for mywardrobe ? ;)
Answer:
I'm going to buy a lovely heart pendant by Jamie from this website, so I'd be interested to know if there are any discount codes too! Fingers crossed... :D
Answer:
I think they have stopped doing discount codes. I looked everywhere for one a few weeks ago and I eventually found a website that said they had changed their policy. If you do find one let me know!
Does anyone have a pair of asos wedges?
NO.4. ask :
Does anyone have a pair of asos wedges?
Either of these
What is the fit like, and are they comfy?
Answer:
I have the first pair. Within 10mins of wearing them my feet were all cut at the back and the straps were a bit uncomfortable! They're really high too, feel like I'm gonna topple over in them
That said, I'm wearing them out on monday night but with some really wide plasters at the back of my foot so hopefully I can wear them in. I did see another girl wearing them a few days ago and she looked fine in them!
O/T but what heat protection product do you use on your hair?
NO.5. ask :
O/T but what heat protection product do you use on your hair?
Sorry for posting this here :o but hair can be sooo slow and am hoping for a few replies before I go to town in abit.
For those of you who use straighteners what heat protection product do you use? I just use the Paul Mitchell super skinny serum at the moment but I don't think its protecting enough is it?
Do any of you have something that you have been using for awhile and can say it has stopped your hair drying (and frying :cmeek: ) out?
Thank you so much chicks!
Answer:
Not technically heat protection, but I use this leave in conditioner that protects hair from heat, and is generally brilliant;
I have dry coloured hair, and this is what I use to bring back to a decent conditon so my summer highlights won't damage my hair. I sometimes mist it over dry hair before running straighteners through them as it makes my hair really shiny:) smells like mango too.
Answer:
HI, I use Redken smooth down heat glide. It's a bit pricey but it's lasted ages as a wee squirt goes a long way. It really stops flyaway hair and my hair is healthier because of it i think.
Hope it helps!
Answer:
I've finally found one I love - Boots Expert Heat protection taming serum, my hairs never been in such good condition! I've tried many fancy and expensive ones, but this is my favourite!
Answer:
I use the Paul Mitchell one. I have also used KMS which is quite good.
