Viva La Diva

NO.1. Ask :
Viva La Diva
Just thought I'd show you this website being advertised in Happy Magazine.
It has got a nice shoe collection, from Lulu Guinness to stuff like French Connection. Anyway, most of it's out of my price range, just thought other people might be interested :) It has quite a good irregular choice range, and I know a few baggers like that company..
I particually like these:
Irregular Choice Shoes
ETA: It's helpful to post the website when you talk about it, heh.

I was one of those... used to love irregular choice shoes until they've just gone plain weird in the last year. I haven't bought/liked anything from them in a while.
ETA: but I have bookmarked the site anyway :) might become a useful resource at some point in the future.

    Zara Jeans
Anyone else think they are really long?
I broke my Zara virginity today (I always thought it was snobby and expensive) and bought some jeans from there. Was quite suprised how nice they are, yet cheaper than topshop jeans!
Are about 3 or 4 inches too long though, I'm just pinning them now for neighbour to take them up for me!)
    Answer:
Any jeans are too long for me :( :( :( but yeah, I reckon all Zara jeans troos are a bit on the long side.
I also used to think that zara was like a posh mango... until I gave it a chance... now I get a few bits in there now and again. I especially like their shoes (but just not this season... they're rubbish atm)
    Answer:
Yeah I think they are very long too. I like my jeans long but Zara jeans are about 2-3" too long.
    Answer:
Yeah, some some great stuff in there, will deff be going back asap.
Ok, having just measured them, it's not 4" too long, more like 2" (I don't think anyone would make jeans 4" too long for me!)
    Answer:
I haven't bought any jeans from there yet (though I would like to) but I have got two pairs of cords and both were miles too long!
Most trousers/jeans are too long on me though, but Zara's seem longer than most.

    NO.3. ask :
    Pour moi? bras....
...anyone any experience of these? I'm after some t-shirt bras, but as I'm having to replace my whole underwear drawer :cmdunno: I don't want to pay too much! That said, I can't stand t-shirt bras that go lumpy after a few washes.
    Thanks!
    Answer:
I do not have any experience with the Por Moi range, but I can recommend the HM T-shirt bra's.
I have recently discovered those (after a long search for a bra that perks up my boobies a bit without being over the top IYKWIM :D ).
It is not the push up type, but the "normal" T-shirt bra I mean (much like the Pour Moi one)
They were only about 17 euro's and hold up well in the wash.
I am a 34 D by the way, I think D cup is the biggest they do?
    Answer:
Don't know anything about that brand but I always buy M S T shirt bras and they're fab. I've had some for over 2 years and they've been washed a gazillion times and are still as good as new. Haven't gone lumpy at all.
This is the one that I have Padded Stretch T-Shirt Bra - Marks Spencer there are cheaper ones too though and there's also a sale on at the moment so might be worth checking out.
    Answer:
Thanks for the replies ladies, but the appeal of the Pour Moi bra's is that they come in a 30 back - the only plain ones I can find in MS are training bras :cmeek:
Have ordered them, plus a couple from Elle McP's range as they come up tiny in the back, so will see how I go with them! Most of the ranges I've found that do 30 back start at a D cup which is just too big
    Answer:
Bibs, are you near a TKMaxx? I got a nice black Calvin Klein t shirt bra for £3 from there the other day and in my local at least they have 30 backs

    London shops opening hours
What time are the big shops in London open at until today. I thinking of going to the topshop but won't be able to until about 4 and don't want to if its going to close as soon as I get there. Where is the nearest HM to that TS? Thanks
    Answer:
    Everything shuts at 6pm
    Answer:
If you're talking about oxford street/circus, they open at 12 and close at 6 today (sunday). The nearest HM to TS Oxford Circus is directly across the road on the corner... you can't miss it... although there are at least another 3 HM branches on Oxford street... so if they don't have what you want you have the time, you can dash over to one of the other stores, which are pretty big also.
I think the Oxford circus HM is the biggest one on OSt.
    Answer:
Thanks ladies. Oxford Street here I come. lol :D

  • Too-big shoes

    NO.5. ask :
    Too-big shoes
I've got these shoes, which I won't post a pic of here, as they might be considered some sort of fashion crime... ;)
They're too big so they slip off my feet when I walk, very annoying. Heel grips have helped a tiny bit. They are maryjane style so I've made new buckle holes to make them as tight as I think I can. Insoles don't help much, and make them too small heightwise and the front of the foot so they hurt.
    Any more ideas?
    Answer:
    grow your feet?
sorry, nothing constructive to add to what you've already tried :o
    Answer:
    grow your feet?
:p But then all my other shoes wouldn't fit!
    Answer:
You probably don't want to hear this
Throw away the shoes that don't fit and buy some that do.

Sorry, I think its the only long term solution to the problem...
Otherwise I have no other ideas to add.
    Answer:
sorry, nothing useful to add except... post a pic!!! I want to see!!!
