Hello from Zimbabwe!!

NO.1. Ask :
Hello from Zimbabwe!!
Hey everyone!
Am on the very expensive, very slow internet connection here at the camp in zimbabwe and thought I would try and say hello.
Have been here now for about 9 days, and am having an amazing time. So amazing in fact that I have arranged to stay an extra week. The lions are awesome. I am working with lions from 2 weeks old up to about 20 months. We prepare their feed, clean the enclosure, take them for walks and generally play with them. I have been amazed at how friendly and affectionate they are, though having a 12 month old cub that weighs about 150kgs come and flop on you can totally wind you!
They love to lick and love to play, and I can spend hours with the 3 month old babies as they clamber over me, and try and roar - literally the funniest thing I have ever seen.
I was wary of the big ones to start with, and you have to be dominant - you can't be scared or they will sense it and you will become a target. If they stalk me, I have to discipline them by hitting them on the side of the mouth, pretty daunting initially with a big lion, but am used to it now.
It's a very diverse mix of people here, ranging from 18 years to 61, but I have settled in, found my posse and managed to orchestrate some big boozy nights on local firewater. I have also managed to injure my leg AGAIN doing the splits :o
I spent this am at the local orphanage with the kids, which was brilliant as they all loved it so much, and we read, played games, and generally wandered around with various babies and children hanging off me. Another first.
Also have a very unexpected love interest which is interesting. Will see how it develops, but couldn't be more opposite from my normal type.
Anyway, hope you are all well. Am missing bagging sadly enough!!
L xx
