Which stores have blue denim skirts?
Hi everyone
I am after a new denim skirt about knee length - not too above as I'm getting on in my mid to late 30s.
I want a blue one and I've tried looking round stores there does not seem to be any around.
The only ones around are short ones.
Can anyone give me any ideas of where to look for me?
Thanks very much.
Answer:
TBH I have not seen knee length denim skirts in the shops for ages. I don't think they are very 'in' at the mo.

It's the sort of thing Boden does, isn't it? E.g. this one - is that what you had in mind?
ETA: they do a longer version as well.

Lush Website Update plus questions to Roxy owners
Sorry for starting yet another Lush thread - but i wasn't sure where to put this...
Firstly, I think the website has been updated as the Silverado is on there now - or has it always been on there? I don't think so...could be wrong.
Secondly, I had a response to from Lush re the new colours of the Roxy they are going to be bringing out. It seems they are doing metalic gold and metalic purple but I think that is it. So my dilema is this: what blooming colour do I get??

I quite like the thought of a blue one for summer, but would want to use this in winter too...
I love the oak colour of the real Mulberry, but from all the discussions here I don't think anyone has the oak one from Lush yet?
I think the Coffee Bean might be too dark for me
The caramel looks odd on the website (as does the blue one...)
Metalic is not my kind of thing.
Does anyone know what colour is closest to the Mulberry Oak colour? Should I get that rather than the blue, or should I get the blue and then worry about winter later??
Ohh ffs should I just get both?
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Answer:
Well now that my emotions have settled after hearing about the gold one.....
The blue is sky blue. The picture on the Lush website looks a bit turquoise. If you go to the Mulberry website and look at the picture of the aqua one that is the colour that the Lush one is irl. The real Mulberry bag is more turquoise and it is more turquoise in the Mulberry catalogue but on the Mulberry website that is the exact colour of the lush Sky Blue bag.
The coffee bean is a very rich colour. I love it! It is the colour of the pic on the website I think. But it is dark. Although fine for summer.
Can't help you about the Oak, sorry. But maybe Katkinn could help out with a more accurate description of the camel.
I have two. And if you get them on ebay from stylelushfashions they normally go for half what you pay for them at Lush so you could get two for the price of one anyway! With about 3000 sales they are very reliable and Henry (I think that is his name) gives special prices!

A few weeks ago I saw a plain brushed gold one in Topshop, not sure if they still have them. Though it might be worth a look, also try Newlook, they ahve lots of that type of jewellery at the moment.
How often do you clear out?
NO.4. ask :
How often do you clear out?
I was just curious as to how often other people clear out their wardrobes and what you do with the stuff your getting rid of? I clear out about 3 or 4 times a year, mainly due to lack of space and also not being able to abide wearing anything that is scruffy or past it's best. But I have a friend who never clears out and still has clothes she had when she was 16.
I usually let my friends have a rummage and then give the rest to the charity shop. Have also started to sell some stuff that's in good condition on ebay. Although I like to keep my look up to date I am not one to slavishly follow fashion so I don't tend keep something "just in case it comes back in" but I have come a cropper occasionally when somethings gone and I've wanted to wear it again and regretted giving it away. Now if I'm not wearing something but I'm not certain I want to get rid of it I store it away for a year to see if I go looking for it.
Answer:
Not often enough if the truth be told !!
I am trying to do it every time one of those charity bags pick up come through the door.. convincing myself that by giving old stuff to charity it justifies my future spends!! :o
Answer:
I've had 2 big clearouts since just before christmas. I just haven't got the space for all my clothes, shoes and bags! I kind of thought it was getting out of hand when I found 24 pairs of jeans - at least half of which I'd forgotten about and didn't wear! Some still had tags on too :o
I used to just throw things away, give them to friends (if they wanted anything) or put them in the charity bags that come through the door.
The last couple of times though I have put some stuff on ebay and made a nice tidy sum from it too! Well enough to make it more profitable than giving them away!
Answer:
I have started to try and buy more things that I need rather than ones I like.
I always am at a pain to throw stuff out because the last time I did I threw out a black velvet blazer, a retro polo shirt, a lovely green jumper and other "fashion no-nos" and now some of these things have come back in fashion and I am GUTTED that I didn't keep them.
I think I might have to start boxing things in my wardrobe and then having a rumage months/ ayear later and see what gems I can rediscover
Answer:
Just as often as I feel the need, probably a couple of times a year. Mostly to make room for new stuff... I give some things to charity and put the rest on ebay. I'm quite liking Apocalypse Cow's idea of storing things away to come back to...
