    NO.2. ask :
    Shopping in Essex...
Although this could go down a rather definitive Essex girl way,, I thought I'd ask for some advice.
I've recently moved down to Essex, (or more accurately according to the radio "the heart of rural Essex" which equals lack of shops :faint:). I'm living about half an hour away from Braintree which is the nearest big town and I'm really missing shopping!
I'm so used to living in Glasgow city centre and being able to just walk out my door and into the shops.
Can anyone recommend decent places to go shopping? And does anyone know of any little gems?
Help mucho appreciated in advance :D
    Answer:
Hmmm, I'm not sure of any gems, although Buckhurst Hill has a boutique which used to be quite good. Otherwise Chelmsford has all the general high street stuff, as does Colchester as far as I know. Personally I think I would get in the car and head off to Bluewater :D
    Answer:
Braintree is where the freeport outlets are, may be able to pick up some bargins there! And I echo what ambukate says about chelmsford and colchester. Unfortunately, i live on the coast on the otherside of essex so I can't really help for that side of the county, sorry!
    Answer:
My boyfriend's just moved to Essex...awful shopping I thought....Except there's Lakeside. Closest train station Chafford Hundred on the c2c. It's got pretty much all you need!
    Answer:
If you're close enough Cambridge is quite good, got reasonable sized Topshop, Miss Selfridge, couple of Warehouses, River Island. Otherwise maybe Stevenage?

  • How many times do you change your outfit??

    NO.3. ask :
How many times do you change your outfit??
Since my wardrobe collapse last week, I have had to start taking care every time I take clothes out or put them in. It's made me really aware of how often I change my clothes every day. I think I have it under control on weekdays, but this weekend for example I wore all these outfits!
    Saturday:
Gym Kit to go to my step and conditioning classes
Jeans, boots, lace top, stripey blazer, gold belt - for tea and cake with dad and trip to SpaNK
Jeans, boots, stripey Reiss vest, leather bomber - for dinner and cocktails that evening
    Sunday:
Cropped combats, vest, weave belt, cream blazer, huge sunnies and flip flops for coffee and breakfast pastries
Changed into denim mini, another vest, bikini top, blazer, flipflops to go to park and chill out in the sun
Changed back into cropped combats, pale pink silk cami, flip flops stripey blazer for champagne and cakes with my girlfriends in the early evening
This doesn't include the clothes I slob anout in the flat in!! Am I unusual or do other people change that much??
Also, does anyone else eat quite as much cake as me :o - written down it looks terrible!
    Mimi x
    Answer:
oh my god you sound like you have Carrie's life from satc!!
No, i wouldn't change that much, but I think it is mainly because I work full time and couldn't handle doing that much washing and ironing!!!
I can only wear clothes once, and then I feel that they're crumpled/worn looking - so I'd be wearing all of those things you mentioned once and then laundering them :o
and another thing! how do you stay so tiny and eat so much cake! :p
    Answer:
Sounds like a very stylish weekend Mimi!
I often change my outfit several times before I leave the house which can often mean a big pile of clothes left on the bed to greet me when I return...
I think it doesn't help that at the moment the weather is completely random so it can be really warm in the day and much cooler later on. Yesterday was just like this - I boiled in the sun watching my friend in the marathon but by the time we were walking home it was freezing rain.
Also, if you have loads of nice clothes you might as well wear them!
    Answer:
I think that is the problem PB. Yesterday was so sunny until I left my friends at about eight in the evening and had to walk home in my flipflops with no umbrella in the pissing rain! So ideally I'd have changed again!
I know what you mean about the piles of clothes. I hate waking up on a Sunday morning and finding a huge pile of clothes in the living room with the ones I've worn stinking of smoke lying right on top!
Tiny I'm not sure I will be so small if I keep eating so much cake. I felt justified on Saturday after going to the gym, but yesterday things got a bit silly!
And my life really isn't really SATC (except the cake of course), I forgot to mention that I also went to very glamourous 'Big Yellow' storage place with my Dad to check out some furniture he's giving me!!!
    Mimi x
    Answer:
At least you had the sun for a little bit! I saw coverage of the marathon yesterday, and couldn't believe that the sun was beaming down - here on the emerald isle it rained torrentially for the entire day!
Oh for the days when we can wear flipflops over here!

    NO.4. ask :
    Ebay driving you mad?
I've decided that when I sell something on Ebay I turn into a mad person checking "My Ebay" every two minutes to see if there's another bid. I find myself doing it last thing at night and first thing in the morning. I've got a pair of shoes for sale on there at the mo and think I've finally gone loopy! ahaha
    Answer:
i know... its so addictive :)
    Answer:
LOL - I'm selling a GAP belted trench on there at the mo as it's too big and I've never even worn it!
It's jumped up from £6.40 to £18 over the past 2 days am hoping for a last min price hike! I keep checking about 6 times a day too!
    Every little helps!;)
    Answer:
That's really good Caramel X, hope you make a killing! I'm still new to it really, I find my clothes and shoes have gone really well but cd's and some bags take longer.
Still, all helps clear the overdraft! ;)
    Answer:
    Oh yes...
I am also new to ebay, and have found for the past week, I have almost been obsessively checking out who (if anyone!) has been bidding for my items. Like you said, Girl in the city, it all helps to clear the overdraft, but I hadn't even imagined it could be anywhere near this stressful!

Ok. I've found ONE place that sells Kimchi stuff online (Red Direct). Does anyone know of anywhere else that I might get it? They must have an outlet or something??!??!
    Answer:
Not useful at all, but the only kind of kimchi I can think of is the pickled veg stuff you get with ramen noodles
    Answer:
Nothing useful to add, but I'd be interested to know too, the few kimchi things I've seen have been lovely. Just looked on ebay, all there was was this bag
