Those of you with THAT HM gypsy skirt...

NO.1. Ask :
Those of you with THAT HM gypsy skirt...
... I washed mine for the first time last week... it came out fine... but it is a total bugger to iron!!!
BTW... as some of you may know... not only do I have it in that gorgeous green and the black one too... I was lucky enough to finally find one in white and in my size at the weekend.
I love these skirts so much... they are sooooo comfy look totally fab on! Though I might have to hang them better and steam them in the future after washing!
Answer:
I have the black one, and was considering getting the white one today as well - but I never find underwear suitable for wearing with white bottoms!!
Do you have a pic of the black one at all? I want one for my Photobucket account, ATM I have a pic of the green one that I nicked off you! :o
Answer:
Get the white one NOW!!! While you are out... take a visit to MS and get one of their cool slips. I bought one of those last year (had to order specially as I could never find the correct size and length I wanted) and they are soooo perfect for wearing under white skirts... really cool comfortable too.
Here's a pic of my black skirt!
Answer:
I wanna get the black one but I have a white skirt already and prefer the detail on that.
Answer:
I have the black and pale green ones - I wanted white but they didn't have my size and I have no HM round here *weeps*
They are fabulously comfy though. I'm not usually a skirt wearer and always feel self conscious in them at first but I've had loads of good comments when I've worn my black one (not had enough sun for a chance to wear the green!)

    Shorts!
OK, I know I've got LOADS but just got some cracking short shorts from Mango for £14.
Got them a size too big for a slightly slouchy effect! They're a browney green sludgey colour and they are quite tailored with a sharp turn-up. Bargain and i think they'll look great with a loose top and my new bronze shoes from kate kuba!!!
    Answer:
    ooooh... pics please?
    Answer:

    Answer:
I like those, you've got to have the legs for them though - unfortunately I haven't!
    Answer:
well i have to say that the lighting in mango is *ahem* NOT the best !!!

    funky wellies??
    Hi,
Has anyone seen any funky wellies in the shops? I know New Look had some pretty reasonably priced a couple of months back but there isn't one near where I live/work so I'd have to make a special journey. I thought I'd ask you ladies first!
I'm going to Glastonbury so want some in case it is muddy but don't want to spend a fortune as I probably won't get that much use out of them
    Thanks
    Answer:
haven't seen any in the shops recently, but try some of the places recommended on this thread:

    NO.4. ask :
Not strictly fashion, but what are you doing today?
The title says it all really!
I have a nice relaxing 'me' day planned today - once I've come off here (and sorted out my arm which I just branded - literally - with my GHD's) I'm going to pop into town and look for all the things I never remember, then I'm working for an hour and a half and then going to a ballet lesson, then finishing off some college work, probably while drinking Baileys!!
Just wondering what the rest of you have planned?
    Answer:
Much stress and tediousness, so no different from most other days then! I'm tutoring at eleven, have a supervisor meeting at 12 and then a gym visit. After that I've got a lecture to write, a study schedule to plan and supper to prepare. The Simpsons will probably be the high point of my day!
    g_k
    Answer:
    Morning!
Boring day for me - at work doing my usual PA duties, trying not to get too excited about my house move (at one point yesterday we thought it would be next Friday  but now it looks like it'll be about 3 weeks). After work we'll be going to view the new house to measure up for windows, then we'll being having dinner and I'll be watching Corrie. Woo hoo.
    Answer:
Oooh Bibbitybob I want your day!
I will be working until about 18:30 booking guests for a new show which I find incredibly dull and uninspiring.
The high point of my day will be a yummy lunch in the bar at work and my breakfast which I'll be fetching in a minute.
This evening I will be walking home then going for a huge run up to and around Hyde Park with my boyfriend before settling down with some home made soup, crusty bread and Desperate Housewives. If I can get the run done in less than an hour I might be able to catch a bit of Grand Designs as well!
    Wow I'm exciting!

    NO.5. ask :
    Wedding outfit
I need to buy an outfit for a wedding.
The problems are I'm a size 18 (with mahoosive breasts) and I live in Jeans and black!
I want to dress up as my partner is going to be dressed up to the nines as he has a role in the wedding.
Anyone have any ideas for someone who really doesn't have a clue?
    Answer:
What's your budget? Monsoon have got some lovely occasion wear in - I would start with the skirt/top combo if I were you. Something like the Gypsophelia skirt and top would be lovely.
If you are used to living in jeans, I wouldn't go for anything too formal or you'll feel like a trussed turkey all day. Better to be comfortable and look happy :)

    Answer:
I was going to just ask this question. I'm the same (size 18, wear jeans sneakers minus the massive breasts). I need to buy an outfit for a wedding in July - I think the reception is going to be in a marque (sp?) so I'll need something which won't let me get too cold. I have to confess I haven't got a clue about fashion so this might be a silly question but is it to early to start looking for clothes to wear in July?
    Thanks,
    Joey
    Answer:
Personally I wouldn't leave it to the last minute like I have Joeyanne as I need an outfit for next Saturday!!!!
I went into Monsoon earlier today Rocktart. The staff were lovely and fussed around me getting things they thought would be nice. I was a bit overwhelmed to be honest and decided I needed to think about it for a day or 2 before deciding. I think you're right about the skirt and top combo as anything too fussy would have me fidgeting about all day. I must admit though I would like to shock my fella as he is a 'matching tie and cufflinks' kinda guy and he has only really seen me in jeans!
Is the sizing in Monsoon generous as an 18 was massive on me and I easily fit into a 16? :yay:
    Answer:
Evan's has some lovely dressy clothes at the moment. Lots of tops and trouser/skirt combo's. That's where i'm planning on getting my wedding outfit for my friends wedding in July (but i am a bit bigger than you both, size 22)
