Not allowed packages delivered to work!
Hi all,
I've ordered quite a few bits and pieces on line recently, after reading your informative threads.... treated myself to pink converse, black gauchos, both of which have been delivered to work.
Our boss has now advised us under no circumstances should we be ordering personal items to be delivered to work, as our postroom boys should only be dealing with company packages! I explained that no-one is at home all day long and all my family and friends work, so what were we meant to do??? So no I'm in a right old pickle... its gonna mean endless trips up to the sorting office which has put me in a right old mood!!
Is your workplace as strict as this, or pretty laid back about the whole situation...
Answer:
Mine is probably worse than that - would be considered a security risk and probably rightly so -I am lucky I get stuff sent to my mum - it drives her mad when the postman rings at 7.30 in the morning - he he! - she is a saint!
Answer:
Haha bless your mum for answering the door at that time!
Cant see why it would be a security risk at our place as I only work for a life and pensions firm! I think they thought enough was enough when someone had a vibrating $ex toy delivered to work! (Everything gets scanned!)
Dont know what im gonna do now - oh well, I may save myself a few quid by calming down my online ordering!

That is so funny that would probably be a sackable offence with me!
Yeah - I have tried to calm my online shopping habits down too - too easy, and my mum kept saying not another package and commenting on how much money I spend:o
Answer:
I'm lucky on this one - our office doesn't have a post room, it all goes straight to reception. As I am the Receptionist I open the post so its easy for me to get stuff delivered to work. Other people do it as well, they don't seem bothered about it.
ATM Mr H is at home studying so I just get stuff sent here but in July when he goes back to work it'll be back to the work address. And they'll be lots more parcels as we'll be back to dual income! :yay:
Pink fishtail skirt...

Pink fishtail skirt...
Hi there
Another shot in the dark but you've come through for me before and I'm hoping you will again!
I'm going to wedding at the beginning of June and need to look gorgeous (ex boyfriend situation) - have done that annoying thing where I've planned my entire outfit without knowing if I'm able to get half of it!
The thing that's eluding me at the moment is a baby pink fishtail skirt (sounds yuck but won't be!) - I need it to be knee-length and really figure hugging....
ANY ideas?
Cheers!
xxx
Answer:
Jigsaw, Whistles and Coast leap to mind, or maybe Hobb's? Good luck, I know the feeling!
Answer:
It's not baby pink or a skirt but it is fishtail and it is lovely.

Turquoise shoes
NO.3. ask :
Turquoise shoes
Hi
Has anyone spotted any nice turquoise shoes, strappy sandels or wedgnes ideally? I want them to wear with white linen trousers and a nice turquise cami I have.
Thanks for any ideas you may have!
Answer:
I'd try Next, Faith, Dottie P's - am sure I've seen turquoise shoes in there recently but can't remember exactly what style.
Your outfit sounds nice!
Answer:
Have done a quick whizz round part of the faith site - but I'd have a look for yourself cos I may have missed some.
Not quite sure what sort of style you're after but I found:
These wedges
These which I love and may have to lust after in bronze to go with my new dress (see my other thread).
These
These which aren't quite turquoise - there are a few blue shoes on the site.
These
Hopefully they'll keep you busy for a while - like I said, have a look because there's loads I've missed. Hope that helps, BB x
Answer:
Ooh, sorry, found these too which would look lovely with white linen trews:

2 3
I'll stop now :p
Answer:
Those are all lovely: excellent research bibbitybob!
As for the bronze Faith Solo ones, Toolio is selling a bronze pair on eBay, size 6... wish they were my size but thought I'd spread the word so you can benefit!
mystylediary.net - who's done it?

Was just showing my friend the above website and we are thinking about doing a joint effort if we can be bothered:rolleyes:
Has anybody else on here bared their wardrobe or are we all too scared like moi:o
Answer:
I have, but I was e-mailed by the lady who started it, saying she loved my style, and would I do it
She's american and goes by the name of Amex.
Answer:
it would kind of be fun, but most of the time I put on what evers there as opposed to looking great. Although I could take photos on days when I am feeling rather great.
I set up a blog the other week but have only posted twice, meant to put something up about my trip to Italy but haven't got round to it. there is a pic of me there though, one whioch is slightly less dodgy than usual.
my blog
Don't laugh at my meagre attempts though!
Answer:
Good start to your site ellieaness :)
I've signed up for www.mystylediary.net and have written my fav shops and colours and that's about it:o
I'm planning a big trying on session to try and find new combinations, flicking through other people's outfits gives you inspiration to experiment with what you already have in your wardrobe.
I for one would love to see other baggers outfits;)
Answer:
I signed up for it a few weeks ago but haven't got around to taking any pictures yet. Might set aside some time to do it this week actually so will keep you updated...
eta - I signed up for MVC ages ago, but never got around to putting any pictures up!
Is there a foolproof way of measuring bra size?
NO.5. ask :
Is there a foolproof way of measuring bra size?
After losing a bit of weight recently I am beginning to find all my bras are no longer fitting! Im so confused, as everyone seems to measure bra size differently! It sounds pathetic, but I feel a bit scared of being measured by a shop assistant.:o But I don't think I can get away with wearing bras that are too big for me anymore. Can anyone help me out?
Answer:
The short answer is no.
There was a long thread on this a while back, which I commented on (I used to work for Figleaves).
All bras are made to slightly different measurements, and so each brand/shop will fit differently.
Unfortunately it's just trial and error.
Don't feel funny about getting measured. They measure hundreds of women a week, and it literally takes less than 30 secs, and its done over your clothes.

Theres me thinking you have to be topless:o :o :o Im so stupid! Duh!
Thanks for that. I'll get measured next time I go.
Answer:
No, it's done over clothes. The only thing you have to worry about (and maybe it's a Dutch thing) is the SA coming into the cubicle to check if you're OK and ramming her hands into your bra to see if it fits. At least, I hope that's what she was doing...
Seriously, don't worry, just go and get measured (John Lewis were very good) - you'll be glad you did. :)
Answer:
Over your clothes??? I've been measured 3 times (by Rigby Peller, MS and Bravissimo) and not once over my clothes. They will measure you with a bra on though.
Rigby Peller are the best - and they don't even use a tape measure.
