Another what do you think of these earrings thread!
1 Attachment(s) Hope no one minds me posting about this but I can't make my mind up about these earrings. They're not really my normal kind of thing but would like a second opinion on them please.
Thank you:):):)
Sorry about the slightly off-colour photo!
Answer:
They are a nice style but seem a bit chintzy. Im not sure on the colours of them either. I wouldn't wear the pink ones I don't think...

I think you've hit the nail on the head there - I couldn't think how to describe it but 'chintzy' is totally the right word!
Thanks for your opinion!

 I'm in French Connection tonight in the Trafford Centre tryin on the 3/4 length denim and crystal jeans. I'm around a size 11 so i tried the 12 but they were just too "relaxed" so i put my head out of the door and said to the assistant "could you possibly get me these in a 10 please?" - she gave me the up and down look and said "that's how they're suppposed to look" - well she may be right but surely as the customer i'm supposed to decide that???? Anyway she sulked off - i waited and waited and waited. Eventually, gave up. I came out of the changing room and said "it's ok i'll leave it" - "i can't find them" the Vicky Pollard of **** replied. Well, Selfridges must be rubbing their hands together. They sold a £70 pair of size 10 jeans
anybody else got any tales of woe of stroppy sales assistants?
Answer:
Mst 'normal' clothes shops do not like have 'goths' in the store, the posher the store the worse they are. So I put on a posh accent, use the handyness of a double barreled surname, try on everything, then walk out with nothing saying its 'not the quality I expected', doesn't really help, but I feel better!
Weirdly the most annoying thing that happened was in a dvd store in Sansea called silver.... scene, screen... something like that, a SA really blatantly followed me around the shop (On the day it opened as well) and then made some loud arsy comment about how 'people like her are vile and are all thieves', needless to say I never went in there again.

but i'm a 42 year old woman - not the usual suspect or goth (not that i've got anything against goths). I just look like a normal woman who wants to buy jeans. Bloody cow:mad:
My daughter has had similar experiences when she's been followed around shops - i think it's an age thing. Somebody 16 is bound to be stealing

I'm quite confused here.
What on earth has Selfridges got to do wit this?
And when did they sell a size 10 pair of jeans.
I'm just really confused about this?
I haven't had any experiences of rude or arrogant S/A's.
Answer:
Gawd French Connection must send their SAs away to the F C U K school of crap service. I was in there a few weeks ago and I wanted to try 5 things on - not allowed I was told so I had to take 4 items in and the SA would keep the other item for me to try later. The stupid air head grabbed the extra item off me and slammed it on the rack. So I'm trying stuff on and I decide a skirt is doing nothing for me so I go out the changing room with the skirt and ask to try on the extra item. SA looks at me as if I've sprouted 2 horns out the top of my head. I look at the rail and notice she's put everything back. So I ask where's the other top - What other top she says - the one you said you'd keep to one side for me so I could try it on later I say. Huh? So I realise I'm getting nowhere so I describe the top to her and ask her to go and get it and go back into the changing room to try the other stuff on. I come out again to find SA stood there looking at the floor. The top? I enquire. Oh we haven't got any she says. I'm about to do the stroppy customer bit and say forget it when another SA comes in with the top - she must have overhead my conversation with the crap SA and gone to get it for me. I hope she was her manager and I hope to buggery someone shakes that girl up or fires her ass 'cause she was a useless moo.
Attention Ms Leffie and anyone else with jeans from Primark!
NO.5. ask :
Attention Ms Leffie and anyone else with jeans from Primark!
3 questions: How do they wash? Do they come in different lengths, and if so what? Aaand do they 'bag out' as you wear them, like my gorgeous DP jeans that are great the first couple of hours after they've come out of the wash, but then grow by about 2 sizes!
I need a couple of new pairs of jeans but I am S-K-I-N-T :(

Answer:
I haven't bought/worn any primark jeans lately but can answer one of your questions.
They only come in one length. An annoyingly "just too short" length. (on me anyway... I'm 'average height'...)
Answer:
I have tried all their jeans on, and they come in one lenght, and they're not nice at all, on me..
So, each to their own.
Answer:
All my current pairs of jeans are from Primark.
1. They wash OK but do tend to lose a lot of colour especially the darker wash ones.
2. They're all one length, I'm 5'3" and they're only OK on me when I wear 3" heels, they still just about touch the floor but not so I trip up over them.
3. I only have stretchy Primark jeans and I've noticed that the more I wash them the more they bag. My really old pair are permanently baggy but I must have washed them over 50 times easily.
TBH if you're broke I'd give them a go, I can't bear to pay a lot for jeans and I'm perfectly happy with the Primark ones.
I tried a couple of pairs on in there this evening that were quite nice but I'm losing weight at the moment and I'm between sizes so I couldn't decide which to get.
Answer:
Oh that explains why they are all so short on me.
I'm 5"7 and they are swinging round my ankles.
My jeans have to be a 34" lenght at the least.
