Sale on Jewellery
Here - I buy lots of my Pilgrim from them - great service.
Answer:
Thanks Puddy ! I have just bought three necklaces (only 1 of which was on sale:rolleyes: but it was one I had my eye on a while ago). I love Pilgrim jewellery too, although I think I am somewhat swayed by the ads with Emmanuelle Baert in them since I have thought she was one of the most beautiful women since I was little.
I bought the turqoise flower neclace with 5 enamel flowers, the gold disc and opal bead necklace and the large aqua splat necklace !
Answer:
OOh the aqua splats are nice - I have the here (:o ) jewellery one!

I've seen the gold version of that bag in a magazine and loved it - you can either have it as a big tote or fold/wrap it up to make it into a smaller bag.
bit random having it in the 'wedding' section though ???
Help! Fancy Dress?? fashion outfits...

Help! Fancy Dress?? fashion outfits...
Slightly off topic (forgive me) - I am off to a fancy dress party in a week or so - any ideas as to what I could go as? An ex of mine will be there (i.e. so I wouldn;t mind lookin pretty good if you know what I mean). Anyway, I would really appreciate ideas - the 'theme' is characters (i.e. from shows, disney, comics, kids tv shows, etc).
Thx - really appreciate your help.
Answer:
I went to a fancy dress party as a squaw, and everyone kept calling me Pocahontas (and I got 3 people's numbers that night!). Basically I just made a simple skirt, cut tassles along the bottom then just wore a vest top and brown wrap top over, with feathers in my hair. Pretty simple - is that any use?
If not the only other easy outfit I can think of is a fairy outfit, and wear green/blue (I can't remember which) and call yourself Tinkerbell!
Answer:
I like the sound of the sqauw! Pretty easy to do with all the stuff in the shops at the mo!
I can only think that I have been as Audrey Hepburn before, basically wore a cute a line skirt, classic black top, pearls, tiara, and long black gloves and held a long cigarette holder! It looked pretty good (though not as good as the real thing!).
HTH some and have fun!!

people at work thought 'Cruella' !!! - not sure if they are hinting!!

1 Attachment(s) Which pair of sandals - Just basic every day sandals, but I can't choose between
These
Answer:
1 Attachment(s) or these
Answer:
hmmn....
the first ones are lovely and summery, but the black ones are gorgeous too...
go for the black ones.
no, wait! the lighter ones are nice.
i don't know!! aargh!
both? :D
Answer:
Hmm - like both, but the first pair stand out most to me. I tried on a pair similar to the second pair, and the 'disc' detail rubbed on top of my feet as soon as I put them on.
First pair - I like something with a bit of a heel.
Answer:
I've got the first pair in gold, they were a tenner in Peacocks!
My jeans have gone patchy
NO.4. ask :
My jeans have gone patchy
I bought these jeans about 3 weeks ago and I wore them for the first time theother day, now they have come out of the wash they are all mottled- like the dye has run. My sister said to just put them in again and it'd be ok but I'm not sure... They are medium grey skinnies and I'm gutted as they fit lovely... :(
I can't take them back as Ive lost the receipt and have worn them, what would you do? Do you think I can claim they are faulty but maybe it's something I did? :S
Answer:
They could argue that the effect after washing is down to the nature of the fabric, dunno. Try washing them again and see how they turn out, and if no joy I would perhaps take them back to the shop and ask, there's always no harm in asking.
Answer:
Are you sure it's not just the washing powder reside? I'd wash them inside out on 30 degrees and see what happens.

Nah the patches are dark grey in big bands going across the leg ??? I will put them in again and see what happens!! Grrrr so irrtating!
thanks !! :)
Answer:
you can still take them back even though you don't have a reciept, even if you have worn them! how did you pay? if you paid on a card or by cheque you can use that as proof of purchase too!
i don't honestly know what they'd say but they'd probably ask how you washed them
doesn't sound like it should go that way after one wash but it's worth washing them again.
i wash all my jeans inside out at 30, double check the inside instructions though just incase
Should be in Hair...
NO.5. ask :
Should be in Hair...
...but I didn't get any replies and I need opinions!
So:
I've got dark brown hair with natural chestnutty highlights, which I would like to amplify a little. I've got a good idea of what I want to put where and of the general effect I'm after, and I'm wondering if doing it myself is a really bad idea. There's no way I can afford to get it done professionally at the mo, hence the DIY idea, but I'm not going to do this if it's likely to turn into a mess!
Can anyone tell me if this is a bad idea or not, and/or reccie a good (cheap!) highlighting set for chestnutty/auburny highlights? I've hearb good things about the Garnier and Herbal Essences sets but that's all - can anyone help?

Answer:
Hmm being half korean have you got typical eastern type hair? When I was at school all the girls from HK had really thick quite coarse hair which bleached a really lovely coppery colour when using plain old peroxide based blonde dyes. In which case the garnier highlighting kit would probably be fine.
If not what about the loreal highlighting colouring kits? (very cheap in wilkinsons!)
Answer:
My hair's dead straight but not typically oriental, I think - it's a bit finer and not as thick. It probably would go coppery if bleached though.
I'm paranoid about damaging it - it's in really good nick (so it ought to be with all the care it gets!) so I'm wary about using anything too strong. The L'oreal things sound good, I'll take a peek at them.
Cheers, FP!

If you use the highlighting kit and *STRAIGHT AWAY* slap a deep conditioning treatment on it, it shouldnt be too straw like.
Answer:
Get one of the kits advertised on tv (can't remember who they're by !), but they're in quite a big blue box, come in all sorts of colours with only one blonde shade , I think they might be Schwarzkopf but I could be wrong, and they're about £9. You might've seen them on tv. There are 2 in the shops that I've seen - a Schwarzkopf live one (which is about £7) and the other one I'm talking about. One of them comes with a cap and the other with just an applicator brush thing. If you want subtle highlights, get the one with the cap, and if you want more 'block' colours, use the applicator brush. The one with the cap does also come with a brush but they don't have a huge range of colours so you'll have to see what's there.
