Puffball skirts??

NO.1. Ask :
Puffball skirts??
Just wondered if anyone has seen any nice puffball skirts anywhere recently? For an idea of what I'm looking for, see this thread, I want quite a plain one though (hope you don't mind supercat!) Saw a nice one in HM about a month ago, made of a cream chiffony material but haven't seen any since.... Any thoughts??
Answer:
Topshop have some in their Unique range. I bought a pale pink silk one lined with chocolate jersey, but it was just too big and wouldn't stay on my hips  despite the fact that it was a 8 and I'm usually a 10 in TS skirts.
They do the same one in black and I'm sure it's on the website or at least it was.

Answer:

Answer:

Work outfit inspiration - what to wear with these khaki linen trews
1 Attachment(s) Says it all really! I bought these khaki linen trousers for work and I can't think what to wear with them. Does anyone have any ideas?
    Answer:
Luvverly trews! Hmm, I always struggle with khaki - a cream or white cami top and flats is all I can come up with right now!
    Answer:
    Nice trousers!
I'd wear a cream slash neck top or a berry red boat neck light jumper. 3/4 length sleeve would look nice with some kitten heels;) You might get away with boots but heels look daintier IMHO.
Or perhaps a cream/white sleeveless shirt or a wrap top with ethnic beads? A light-coloured kaftan would also look nice but could be a bit casual. :)
    Answer:
    Hi Curls, lovely trousers!
Perhaps a very pale pink cami/vest top with a plum shrug/wrap top over it, or some combination of cream and black (could be a cami and wrap/cardi, or even a stripy slouch top in a fine knit). Shoes - I like the idea of kitten heels that someone suggested, maybe also ballet flats if you don't feel like heels??
Have a good day - kx
    Answer:
perhaps layer tops in lemon/white, apple green/white or peach or coral/white?

  • black or green?

    NO.4. ask :
    black or green?
I know they're everywhere, but I really want a long tiered gypsy skirt. I want to wear it with simple tops, sandals and heavy silver anklets, earrings and bangles, Indian-dancer style, this summer.
I am torn between black - very practical obviously - and a very bright, dazzling grass green.
What do you think? apart from white and black I can't think what colours I could pair with the green, but it's such an amazing uplifting colour...
Again, I am like this  so I would appreciate some help! thanks girls.
    Answer:
oooooh, the green sounds lovely, I would go for that!
I don't know the exact shade but perhaps you could wear it with colours like black, cream, white, berry red, mauve, dusky pink, chocolate...mmm, I'm all envious now! ;) kx
    Answer:
    Hi Nazneen
Following on from your lovely colour combos on the khaki trews thread, what about yellow and white? I think I remember seeing a white skirt on this forum with green fading upwards into white plus yellow flowers on it - though granted the green on the skirt was more muted than dazzling.
I might be way off the mark here but what about taking inspiration from the garden? Lots of flower colours to choose from and they all look great with bright grass green. A bright blue sky also looks great with grass green - so perhaps a bright blue top would look really refreshing with your skirt?:)
    Answer:
Definately the green, (not the black, not the black, not the black)
think I've made my point, I would go for neutral colours, taupe, cream to counteract the "over bright" effect.
    Answer:
thanks girls!!! I will get the green then!
jasmine, your idea of taking inspiration from the garden is a lovely, poetic idea!! I may well do that.

O/T but also fashion related: camera phone recs?
My mobile is up for upgrade now, and I really want a good camera phone so that I can post pics here! so, what phones do you girls have or would recommend?
    Answer:
I've just got a Nokia 6170, am quite impressed with it so far. :)
    Answer:
Nokia are always the best bet as far as phone quality and reliability are concerned however their cameras may not be the best. Sharp are good camera wise but the phones are not as good. It all depends whether you want to make calls or take pictures more.
I have had a mobile for more than 15 years and at least 80% of the handsets I have had have been Nokias and I always regret straying away from Nokia.
I don't work for Nokia btw but did work in mobile telecoms for 15 years.
    Answer:
I've always had a Nokia too, pansymouse, and never had any problems.
Unlike my bf who goes with the most gadgety one around and always has loads of problems! he's on his fourth replacement for his Motorola
    Answer:
Oooo don't know if you saw the picture of my wedges on another thread "fave shoes at the mo" I think. I took that picture with my nokia and thought it came out really well. I agree though my last nokia didn't take very good pictures (don't get a 6220!!!!) but this one seems much better (and it's a flip phone!).
