O/ T Name Change

NO.1. Ask :
Name Change
Hi, just to let you all know my name has been changed from Gossip Column to Elle (no relation to the magazine!).
Thanks!
Answer:
What made you wanna change it?
Answer:
Well, I kept getting it mixed up with General Chat when people abbreviated it and I also run a web site by the same name, so I wanted to separate them. I kept getting confused!
That, and the fact that it's my actual name (well, half of)!
Answer:
I wanna change mine. Not that I think anyone would notice:( :o
I am too lazy to actually do it anyway:p

    NO.2. ask :
    I have a jacket addiction...
I've just been counting my jackets and at the moment I have 18 (possibly more, I think I may have missed one or two). That's excluding suit jackets and winter coats :o
The thing is, they're almost all quite different in style/colour so each was a justified purchase. Many are also from charity shops, but still
Anyone else with a similar problem???
    g_k
    Answer:
    Not jackets, shoes for me.
    I can *literally* justify *anything*!
You obviously need strappy and 'closed' type shoed in each colour.
But sometimes I forget what I have then just buy some more! :p
It's not an addiction, darling, its necessity.
    They are totally justified!
    :great:
    Answer:

    O/T The time has come!
Well, my leaver's ball has finally arrived after waiting months to be able to wear my dress!
I'm sulking because my skin is terrible today - anyone got any tips for hiding my horrid spots?
Am gonna get a mega long shower, then going for a pedicure (because i hate my toes!) and to get my hair done, whee!
And just to make it fashion related, do I go with the silver wrap to contrast, or the red one to match?
    :yay:
    I'm such a girl :o
    Answer:
    Wow how exciting!
Re spots - I would probably exfoliate gently - you don't want to irritate them - then apply a face mask, but nothing too purifying as that may draw the spot out. Maybe a pore refining mask or something similar. Then once you've rinsed it off apply some moisturiser and your make up almost as soon as it's sunk in so it sticks!!
And go for the silver wrap.
Main thing is - enjoy your pampering and remember everyone will be thinking how great you look NO one will even notice a few spots I promise.

    Answer:
I agree with mimi - well said!
    Have fun :yay:
    Answer:
re your spots - rather than piling on the concealer, try using the thick gloopy bits of foundation from around the neck of the bottle. Apply your foundation as normal, then when its dry take some of this thicker bottle neck stuff and just dab a piece onto the spot. Don't rub it. Just dab it right on and leave it to dry. When its dried completely, just use the edge of a make up sponge to soften the outer edges of your 'dab', and then dust either bronzing powder or your loose face powder all over to slightly set things.
I always find this is better than applying lots of concealer.
    Have a fab night!!
    Answer:
I so apologise for this but it needs to be said
    have a ball:lol:
Im sure no one will notice your spot and you will look beautiful:)

  • A new watch?

    NO.4. ask :
    A new watch?
    Hi,
I'm looking for a new watch but can't seem to find anything in the shops at the moment. I currently wear a silver Oasis watch (from Argos!), which has a rectangular face and a thin metal linked strap. It's very VERY dull. I considered getting a chunky men's watch but it looked ridiculous as my wrists are quite small compared to my hands (which are like monster hands...).
Can anyone help? The only thing I really need from is it is that must have a second hand, for uni/work purposes. I wear quite smart clothes during the day, and I'm a skinnies/tunics/indie-type in the evening, so I don't think anything too grown up would be good! If that makes any sense... :cmdunno:
I got some money from uni recently so was hoping to use it on that - maybe around the £100-150 mark?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Ta! xx
    Answer:
Look at Citizen or Seiko, they make some very good watches if you are on a budget. Maybe Casio as well.
    Answer:
    Thanks, will have a look!
    Answer:
Try having a nose around the watch hut or amazon. They both have alot of watches and sometimes have good deals on too.

  • Patricia Field

    NO.5. ask :
    Patricia Field
Has anyone bought anything from the PatriciaField.com website? I love the way she styled Carrie in SATC, but just wondered if the quality of her range is any good, or if the prices are just pushed up by SATC.
    Answer:
I haven't bought anything from there, but I did visit her shop in the US and there were some weird and wonderful stuff! Our guide got something that looked more like bondage wear than everyday kinda stuff. It was all leathery and strappy like something from 'The Fifth Element' the other night? She was sooo happy though and said she'd been waiting months for it!
There are some nice bits on the website though...:o
    Answer:
I have visited the store too... but was a bit of a disappointment. I think she was too bigged up by the whole SATC thing.
There were some wierd and wonderful things there... many of them over priced, but I didn't buy anything.
