mini "trying on" of new stuff session
And I'm surpised how much I like the sequin waistcoat from warehouse. I bought it in a size up and I think its a good layering item so thought I'd share it with you! :D
Answer:
and my new TS bedjacket but I'd like it a smidgen longer :)
Answer:
oOoOoOoO...i love the sequin top...just lovely:p
Answer:
Ooh the sequin waistcoat is lovely! Was interested to see what it looked like on. Might be tempted myself, do you think it's worth what it cost though?
Answer:
Nice, both of them.

    NO.2. ask :
what do you think of this dress?
Hi! I am loving this dress I think its really pretty. its £27 which I dont think is too bad for a dress. Do you think it would suit a more curvier shape? I have big boobs (34 e) and vary from a size 10-14 top half and a size 14 bottom half.
Do you think it's the sort of thing that would make my ar*e look like the side of a bus or not is basically what im trying to say lol  :) Cheers
    Answer:
I do think it's lovely and the shape is very flattering, especially the neckline. But the stripes might be less flattering - does it come in any other colours?
    Answer:
I agree I think the shape is great but it's the stripes - they could be a problem in accentuating wideness! (I'm not saying you're wide, but you know what I mean!!)
    Answer:
    Hi Nursie,
I love the dress. Its gorg, wheres it from?
Speaking as a curvy girl myself, I think that dress would look fab.
The neckline is great, will flatter your chest without being too low cut.
The stripes will lengthen you body and the shape looks as if It would sit nicely and not cling.
    Go for it:)
    Answer:
I like it, although I have discovered with the under bust join may come across your bust, rather than under it (if you get my drift), I am the same bust size as you and I do find that some tops/dresses with a join like that are cut to accomodate a smaller bust, but you won't know until you try it, go for it.

Purple/burgundy bag, and what to wear with yellow shoes?
    1 Attachment(s) Hello!
I got myself a cool pair of yellow wedges on my honeymoon and am trying to think what to match with them. I'm going to make an a-line skirt with this print that I'll probably wear with a fitted t-shirt (poss in black or pink), but thought purples would look good with them too.
Has anyone seen a nice purple or burgundy coloured bag anywhere around, or possibly maroon? Saw a lovely bright purple suede mini tote in Prada which was ruined by a largeish Prada logo unfortunately of I might have treated myself! Would prefer a plain shoulder bag, but am open to suggestions...
Any other thoughts on what to wear with yellow wedges?
    Answer:
I dont know if it will go, but I do like the Mulberry Roxanne in this sort of plummy purple colour:
    Answer:
Not going to be of much help here but I had to say - what fantastic fabric!
    Answer:
I love the colour of that bag HS, but its not the right style unfortunately. I wonder if the Mulberry Jaquetta (I think) comes in that colour as that might be perfect, not that I can afford it!
The fabric's lovely isn't it!? Hopefully it will go perfectly with the shoes for a nice summery look:)
    Answer:
Yes, I did think it was more 'office' than 'honeymoon', sorry!
Is this Stella perhaps a bit better?

    Balenciaga experts? PC? Annanas?
    Morning all
I'm starting to think about my Winter Bag Purchase  and it's gonna have to be a Balenciaga City :D I'm thinking I'd like a grey colour - haven't seen any in the flesh but I love grey and don't have a grey bag so.......
As nowhere down here stocks Balenciaga I wondered if I could pick your brains?
1 has anyone seen a nice grey colour and what's the Balenciaga name for it?
2 where is the best place to buy ie, largest range and best on price
3 (the biggie) how much do I need to get together? I was thinking around the £600 mark but I may be being optimistic :cmdunno:
    Thank you :thanks:
    Answer:
i think the 2004 greys are the nicest true greys but they're not that easy to find. the 2006 grey is similar but the leather isn't anywhere near as nice. the 2007 greys are much much darker, and anthracite has a very definite green tinge to it.
look here for all the colours though: http://forum.purseblog.com/balenciag...rence-library/
and a thread for all the greys: http://forum.purseblog.com/balenciag...ly-140416.html
you can get a city for under £600, mine was about £500 but i got pretty lucky. and of course that won't be retail.
as for stockists, if you don't want to pay retail then you'd probably have to order them from abroad. luisaviaroma don't seem to have any classic hardware cities now, but aloha rag should do ( www.aloharag.com i think), and from what i hear they do mark packages down for customs.
    Answer:
 OK I'm not either of those people and definitely wouldn't know as much but do have a bit of a Bal habit and wanted to say there are lovely grey silver giant hardware ones in Selfridges at the moment that are just:faint:. If I did not have to sort my car out this month I would so be there:lol:

They had a part timer which is quite close to the City in style although not the City. They do have non-GH grey ones in City ie have the full selection in the non-GH form what I can remember.

I am more a Work kinda girl now as you can put in everything but the kitchen sink inside a work and haven't bought a city for a couple of years but from what I remember a City is about £680-£700? (I've only ever bought retail). My last Work about 6 months ago was £810 and they are quite a bit bigger than the City but depends what you are going to be using it for I guess. The Weekender is about £950 I think and giant hardware bags are all about £100 more.

Again, I like my Bals but I'm not superzealous so couldn't tell you the exact colour names and this is just off the top of my head but hope this is a bit of help and you get the one you're looking for!
    Answer:
Hiya, not an expert myself but did have a nosey of these in selfridges yesterday... unless you buy them cheaper on line or something, even the smallest bag was £695 in the black leather... so your £600 may be optimistic :sorry:
I must say that they new grey range caught my eye better than the others... the cream range was :yuck: especially the ones with the bright gold hardware. The grey is lovely :throb:
    Answer:
Thanks both :D I think having a quick look at the tPF thread I'd want a paler grey but the trouble is going to be tracking one down I think :cmdunno: There;s nothing on alohorag :(
I think I want the classic City - not the giant hardware  Not that they're not beautiful but I think the classic is more 'me' if you know what I mean.
Looks like I might have to take a trip to Selfridges......
ETA: Cross post Yingers :D Thanks for that. I love the idea of grey - don't know why I haven't already got a grey bag actually as it's my favourite colour  Anyway, yes I was thinking £600 might be optimistic for retail. I'd like to buy online as Annanas says from abroad but I can't seem to find anywhere and the one place Annanas rec'd don't seem to have any :(
