OT, Straighteners
You guys usually help out better (and quicker) than some of the other threads, so I thought I'd post this here.
My Straighteners died on me this morning, so I desperately need to get some new ones. Any reccomendations, I don't want the GHDs, and prefs nothing that expensive anyways.
Also, does anyone know if glass ones are any good?
Thanks :)
Answer:
I've got some remington ones that were £20 on sale in argos about 2 years ago (think they are £20 normally now).
Everyone was raving about them on here and i find them really good. They have ceramic coated plates.
Will see if i can find a link :)
ETA: There are the ones

Answer:
 for that price I can go clothes shopping after picking them up ;)
So, after two years they are still working well?
Mine were £60 Vidal Sassoon ones and lasted a year and a half, though I did love them.
Answer:
Yup still going strong! Ceramic has worn a tiny bit on the edge but nothing major....and for that price i'm not complaining!
They heat up so quickly too:)
Answer:
I've got Windles but they sell for £95 (I think), so no use to you. My hsemate has a Remington pair which work just as well and heat up to 200 degrees - can't remember the exact name of them and she's a bit 'busy' with her boyf at the mo so can't ask her right this min! :o
Question for those who are loving their metallics
NO.2. ask :
Question for those who are loving their metallics
I've got a khaki top with bits of both silver and gold on it so I tend to wear it with either my silver or gold pumps. My question is if I'm wearing my silver shoes, should I stick to a silver bag, and if I'm wearing my gold shoes, should I stick to a gold bag? Is it a no-no to mix gold and silver do you think? The silver and gold I wear tend to be pale shades rather than vivid bright shades.
Answer:
I think it would be OK if they were mutted shades - I think true gold would look a bit bonkers with silver, but then again I hate matching shoes and here anyway! I had silver shoes with a pewter bag the other night and I've worn a rose gold shrug with silver shoes - I think mismatched metallics can look quite good - especially if they're not right next to each other.
Answer:
I agree with CurlsAloud - true gold and true silver would look wrong together IMO - subtle versions could easily mix though (i.e. bronze and gunmetal).
I have silver Birkies on today and what I thought was my silver bag - but next to each other the bag looks pink!
Still looks nice though! :)
Answer:
Pale gold is fine with pale silver in my opinion. I've been wearing my TS cream/silver pumps with a pale gold Kookai belt and carrying my big gold TS leather bag today (and bronze earrings!) and haven't attracted too many strange looks!
Plain clutch?
NO.3. ask :
Plain clutch?
Hey everyone,
I'm looking for a plain clutch bag in silver. Something quite simple! Been looking over the weekend but not had any luck.
Anyone seen anything on their travels?
Answer:
Anyone??
Answer:
There was a lovely beaded vintagey looking one in Oasis a couple of weeks ago but haven't noticed any plain ones around. Have you tried ebay?
Answer:
Thanks for your reply Karina :)
I'll just have to keep looking!
Answer:
It's not silver, but I thought it might go with your dress:
I know I shouldn't but.............

I like gypsy skirts and I think Waynetta Rooney is quite pretty.
Come share your currently uinfashionable confessions.......
Answer:
I like gypsy skirts too. I don't care if they're deemed 'unfashionable'. It's the gypsy look worn from head to toe that I don't like.
I'll wear what I want thank you!
Answer:
i love gypsy skirts to i thik there very flattering :)
Answer:
Me too - I like gypsy skirts and I think Waynetta's very pretty, just a bit bovine.
Mimi x
Answer:
I like them as well - I'm just so bored of seeing them everywhere. I went to a particularly dodgy area in Bristol on Saturday to pick something up and every female had one on
Not quite in the same league as Waynetta ;) but Cat Deeley is a bit of a style guru for me :o
Bargin Skirts

Bargin Skirts
1 Attachment(s) OOh I've been dying to post something on here. Bought two bargin skirts yesterday from Asda. £16 each. They dont look as good on the pics. They have little mirror sequin's on them both. Bargin!
Answer:
1 Attachment(s) Here's the other.
Answer:
ooooh me think i'll be trotting down to asda v soon ilurveeeeeeeeeeeeeee the white one, purple and me dont go im too pale :o
Answer:
The white one is more a hipster I think, well its my size and falls of me, but I loved it so much had to get it. The length is to my calves. The purple one is much deeper than in the photo and comes to my ankles. Didnt really have £32 to spend, but just loved them.
Answer:
the white one "looks" like much more than £16! You def got a bargain there.
Purple one I am not so keen on, but only really cos I can see how that seam and the gathered bit would sit on my mahoosive thighs.
I would go to local Asda and look/buy.... but know from tragic experience that it will just be full of black trousers with that extra special polyester shine
