George has a website!!!!
I didnt know that!!!
George @ Asda
Very very dangerous :faint: :cmdunno:
Answer:
Ooh lovely, thanks for the link!
Answer:
Ahh "browse online, buy instore"
I'm far too lazy for that!
:)
Answer:
It's always been there. You can't buy anything though so it's pointless as there's no guarantee your local store will be stocking the items shown on the site.
Answer:
True but you can always phone Asda House and get them to send it out to your local store :)

    Answer:
No they don't. It states it on the site. Check US Ebay for cheap Gap stuff that's instore at the mo.
    Answer:
Oh, I just found that on their website too. It's so annoying when that happens!

I wish they did also. But look on the bright side, by the time you'd paid shipping and tax and import duty you probably wouldn't have saved much anyway.

    NO.3. ask :
    New job clothes
    Hi
I start a new job on Monday and all of my really smart “new job” clothes are for winter. I tend to wear really smart stuff until I can gauge what the dress code is and I do think it’s smart. I don’t want to spend a fortune but am happy to spend Next type prices. I am 25 so I’d like to dress my age as well.
    Please help me.
    Thank you.
    Answer:
    Hiya
personally i find it a lot harder to dress smart for work in summer.
I tend to go for linen trousers say in kaki/ olive colours with short sleeved shirts or little wrap around short sleeved cardi's.
Knee lenght skirts with the above tops and some heels would work as well.
    Answer:
Sort out your outfit for the first day well in advance so you can go in feeling confident.
In a lot of 'smart' offices the dress code is more relaxed in the summer.
However, to be on the safe side I would avoid strappy tops or open-toed shoes until you know if it's OK to wear these as my friend worked somewhere where both of these were forbidden
A light summery blazer slung over your outfit is good for smartening it up.
    Answer:
I was thinking the same, thanks for the replies. Just need to find shops that sell the things I want now!
    Answer:
I have had the same problem trying to buy something for an interview this summer. I also needed it to be suitable for my Granny's funeral :( .
Anyway I got a silk linen mix suit from Oasis, which is very smart - it is an A line skirt and fitted jacket, but they also do matching turn up trousers. I got it in chocolate, but they also do it in black and white, they also have a very similar one in pale blue ATM.
The skirt was £45 and the jacket £65. Even though I was at a funeral I got several compliments on how nice my suit was. I am 28 and I wore it with shoes from office.
The silk makes the fabric a lot my structured than pure linen, so you don't end with with that crumpled look so much, like pure linen.
Anyway, I trawled just about every shop and that was what I came up with. In the summer they just don't seem to sell smart suits for people under the age of 50.
Hope that might be of some use, and good luck with your new job - I am online because I'm supposed to be doing an application

I got two packs of these and they are great quality.
I think Peacocks is great, I also bought a nice green linen halter neck top that was £6, I later saw exactly the same top but in blue and also orange in Wallis for £25.
And you know from my other thread I think they're jeans are fab!
There is often some tat in there but the basics are great quality IMO

    Ahem,
I bought this totally random dress on saturday, and now I just can't think why really.
Again, i's one of those thing I keep looking at, and thinking "hhmm".
It's not something I'd normally wear, or I can imagine when I'd wear.
Please give me an honest opinion, before I go out in it looking like a tosser
    Cheers X
Ps. I can still bring it back.
    Answer:
Yu could wear that out for a picnic, a day out shopping, for an afternoon lunch or to the cinema. It's pretty versatile.
With the lovely weather we're having at the moment you can't go wrong with a dress like that.
    Answer:
Mmm yeah, but... the giraffes
I'm just not sure about giraffes
It's a bit like errm, having a dress with, say ironboards on it :meh:

Well the giraffes make it stand out from every other dress that looks like that on the rails in Topshop and New Look. I wouldn't have opted for the giraffes either usually but looking at it I think it makes a nice change.
    Keep it.
    Answer:
I like the giraffes, it's unusual in a good way :great:
