can any1 help? Marc Jacobs flats?
hi ladies
am trying to buy a pair of MJ flats for my graduation, but as its online, and there are no MJ stockists near me, i can't check sizing...
I'm sure that at least someone has a pair of MJ flats, and the problem I'm having is that some people say they run 1/2 size bigger, some say a half size smaller, so i have no idea which size to buy.
The only other size refs I have is that in Dries Van Noten shoes I'm a 5, and Topshop size 5 flats are a smidge small, and size 6's too big. My feet flat on the floor, top of big toe to heel are 9" - so would i need a 37.5, a 38 or a 38.5 in Mj flats?
sure one of you fashionistas must have a pair, and 5/6 couldn't be more average, so i thought it was worth asking!

38, they are fairly true to size, if you are unsure go to ebay.com and ask someone to measure a MJ shoe in that size and compare to your own

I was watching a SATC repeat last night on C4 and Carrie had a gorgeous purple dress on.
It had angle-style sleeves and was v-neck with a knot ruched detail at the bust and was slighter longer at the back then the front and had a kind of cut-out detail on the back.
I'd really like to have something similar made for my b'day next month in a different colour as I can't do strappy as I have scars on the back of my right shoulder.
Does anyone remember this dress? Who designed it? It was the episode where she went out for dinner with that new guy of hers (the snappy one with issues) and wheer Charlotte joined them when Carrie called her to get her out of a disastrous date.
PLEASE can any of you help me?! This dress is gorgeous and just perfect for my figure.

I know it's hard to think about this now in the sweltering heat but I've seen a great pair of boots (last season YSL) in the sale and am thinking about what they'll go with when it gets colder. I don't want to buy them and then find nothing in the shops later in the year goes with them.

CX, was posting in a hurry so didn't have time to describe the little babies, but I've given up on work for the day so I will tell all:
They're by YSL, calf height, black quilted velvety stuff, with black Oriental style embroidery detail. They have a stylised wedge wchich curves inwards in the middle, making the foot look miniature, and the leg starts straight up from the wedge, rather than curving into the ankle, so they emphasis the shape of the wedge and the also create an unusual shape. I really love them, but they were about £500 originally and I could never afford that without saving - I'm not big on saving. They are reduced to £129. I think they will work for winter as I'm expecting a boho backlash, something futuristic.
I'm thinking I can probably wear them in autumn with shorts and tights once it gets colder, then in winter there'll be leggings (!) and dresses. I hear red and black is making a major comeback, so the Oriental theme might be good.

I wonder if any of you can help me. I'm desperate to find a top to go with this skirt I've bought for my friend's wedding.
Ideally I'd love a chocolate brown top, though I would be willing to wear white if need be.
I want something very plain and simple - either a bustier or v-neck style top but nothing that's very detailed, lacy, patterned or frilly. Don't really want too much going on up top (am quite large chested).
Something like this would be lovely as the ruching on it would cover my stomach (my bad point).
I've seen some lovely tops in Coast but none in the right colours, If worst came to worst I am tempted to buy them and dye them, but am a bit hesitant about doing that in case I bodge it!
Has anyone seen anything suitable on their wanders around town? I've been to my local Debenhams, HOF, John Lewis and Fenwicks but am holding out hope that my holy grail top is out there!!

Also, the primark ones don't come in white and the TS heels are much higher.

In my experience of ringing up TS and asking for stuff, they usually want you to describe the shoes rather than know the line number. However, these look like the ones you posted, so if all else fails I'd give them the same information and then make the point that you want them in white :)
