Who is your style icon?
Not necessarily who's style you follow/copy, but who do you really think 'wow' whenever you see them (famous or not famous).
Mine is ...Gwen Stefani I have always totally loved her style even from the early No Doubt days, probably because she is an old style glamourpuss but very 'now' at the same time. Both things (glam and very now) I am NOT! I would never copy her but she is really the only person I always think 'she looks fab' every time I see her pic.
Sometimes I hear you mention names on here and I've never bloody heard of them! :p Although I assume they're famous(?)

I do like the way Jessica Simpson dresses, she seems quite stylish without trying too hard.
I also adore the way SJP dresses, although it may not be 100% practical for us mere mortals!
I wouldnt class her as a stlye icon but I always think Angelina Jolie looks fab everytime I see a pic of her
Also Nicole Richie seems to becoming a better dresser, though she does need a good meal.

been looking at the weather for tomorrow and its absolutely horrendous but really warm at the same time, how do u dress for that, might get a bit soaked walking for the bus in summery clothes :think:

Light enough to keep you cool but dark enough so you don't look like an dipstick in summery clothes if it rains.

I spotted this blue chiffon top on the topshop website and I really like it. Howeverrrrr, I'm a bit concerned that its one of those tops that make you look like your pregnant. There are some baby doll style tops that I see skinny girls wearing, and even they manage to look like they have a belly!
If anyone has it or tried it on, please warn me if its only for the very skinny. I havent been able to do any exercise of late because of revision and am getting worried about my stomach :o

Ok, so I don't want a yellow polka dot one, but I do want a bikini!
Specifically, one with shorts. I'm very white (hoping to slap on some fake tan until I burn to a crisp, can't go outside, then go home!) and I don't want a bikini colour which will make me look either a) washed out, b) ill or c) dead.
So that rules out white.
I would appreciate if anyone out there could point me in the right direction of which colour I should be going for, and if there are any with the shorts style, as showing my rather awful bum is not up for negotiation! *insert shocked bum baring smiley here*
I bought a dark brown one from Tesco the other day. Has some lovely beading detail, and I'm hoping to wear it once my white appearance doesn't blind people on the beach.

I got one from river island last year with shorts. It's a turquoisey/aqua/greeny colour with light green edges and a sort of tropical print (green leaves and pink flowers) and somehow makes me look really tanned! The top is halterneck and you could get either normal bottoms or short bottoms. They do a similar one every year i've noticed. Unfortunately they don't seem to have it on the website, but have definately seen it in stores!
