My doctor has prescribed swimming for my arms to strengthen them so I was flicking through my MIL's catalogues to check prices on swimsuits (as I havent been since I was about 14 :o) and she goes 'oh I've got one upstairs that might fit you.
So I'm thinking oh that's good, a free suit and she brings it down and its 4 sizes too small, which I point out and she says 'well yeah but it's maternity so it'll fit'
The most annoying thing is, it fecking well does fit
Answer:
Ugh!
I'm so glad the time of MIL's is far away. *rests uneasily*

I'm back!! Rome was fantastic - so hot, so laid back and so totally stunning. I didn't want to come home :(
I'm happy though because I have the most beautiful photos of Rome, and of me and my boy.
It's going to take me forever to go through all the threads I've missed - naughty me should be unpacking!
We stayed with my brother in Manchester on Friday night, which meant hitting the shops yesterday, hurrah!
I'll post pics later when I'm a bit more organised but I bought...
Patterned wrap dress (to wear for my bro's graduation) - Primark
    Black fitted shorts - Primark
    Cream v-neck jumper - Primark
    Gorgeous blue dress - Primark
Black linen waistcoat - New Look
    Stripy linen jacket - Topshop
1 pair heels and 1 pair wedges (yes, I actually found some wedges I like  ) - New Look
    Pics to follow...
    Hope you've all been well!
    Answer:
you didn't buy anything from rome  :faint: ???
    Answer:
what??? you've just come back from rome and had a fantastic time... and you post about stuff you've bought from Primark???
What the hell??? We don't want to hear about that... what did you get in Rome??? :D
    Answer:
Ahhah, so sorry to disappoint! :p
We only really had 4 full days there so we spent all our time seeing the sights. I wouldn't have it any other way to be honest - I can shop in England - I can't climb St Peters or visit the Coliseum!!
    Answer:
    Oh no, wait....
I bought 20 postcards for a euro, a stamp from the Vatican, 2 boxes of biscuits and a bag of pasta for people back home. Happy now? ;)

    Airport outfit?
Ok, just wondered if anyone wanted to help me pick an outfit. I'm going to Barcelona on tuesday (can't wait! Feels like I'm going home!) and I'm going to be sitting in Gatwick airport from 11pm monday until check in at five am. Does anyone have any suggestion of what I should wear? I'm a bit stumped.
    Thanks.
    Answer:
Whenever I travel anywhere I dress for comfort... especially if I have to sit around for 6 hours, I would either wear combats or trackkie b's and a comfortable tee... I would wear a denim jacket over that too.
    Answer:
Good suggestion, thanks. I keep thinking I don't want to dress too warm or I'll land in Spain and fry!
    Answer:
yeah, that's why I'd wear the denim jacket... will keep you warm-ish for the time you're waiting over here and it's light enough to take off carry if it's really hot when you get to Barcelona.
There is another reason why I always wear a denim jacket to fly - I actually go to sleep with it over my head!!! Blocks out light and some noise plus I hate sleeping on planes anyway and also just in case I'm fast asleep with my mouth wide open dribbling (yuck!!!)
    Answer:
I would wear mpore or less what Yingers suggested, but I would also bring a pashmina to wrap myself up in if it gets cold or I want to sleep.

Hello peeps. There's something I'd like you all to know about a fellow bagger!
Professor Vanessa is absolutely flippin' amazing! I'll elaborate. My search for the infamous gold sequinned shrug from Primark had been pretty fruitless and PV was aware of this. A couple of weeks ago she went to Primark and found two. She bought one for herself and (even remembering what size I am) bought another for me. She pm'd me and asked if I'd like it, which of course I did and said she'd let me have her email address to pay her when she'd sent it. Excellent. Then the goddess informs me that no, I can't have her email address, that it's a present from her to me and she hopes I like it :faint: Despite my protests she refuses to give me her email address, the minx. ;)
What a lovely lovely thing to do? I'm so touched - it was so thoughtful of her, not to mention generous. I'm sorry if this is slightly OT but I just wanted everyone to know how fab she is and how much I appreciated her buying it for me. What a honey :throb: :D
PS. I've missed you all heaps as well! :o
    Answer:

Ahhh, don't you just love the bag! And how lovely of PV!
Nice to see you back Toosh - how's the new job?
    Answer:
ahh... that's just too cool for school... I love a happy ending :D
Although I feel a bit bad now for charging CiC for the primark jacket :o
    Answer:
Ha ha ha!!!! LOL at Yingers!!!! Don't feel bad - she SHOULD have charged me, the little toad!
Hi Arnie - I haven't started the new job yet (I'm touched you remembered!). I've spent the last week working my ass off on my new house. I've never physically worked so hard in my life - I've lost about half a stone because I've been running around so much which is great but everything I put on looks bloody massive and I look knackered ! :D
    Answer:
Awww that's sweet! Are you going to become Pro's stalker and find out her address so you can dish out nice revenge?:p
Don't be silly Yingers, i'm touched that you went to the hassle of picking it up for that alone i would have paid double:)

Am really not an outdoorsy sort of person but have booked a child-friendly hol which requires raincoats, wellies, warm fleece etc. Any ideas where I can get any of these and still look reasonably stylish? Am small and curvy and don't want to look like a flump!!!!
    Answer:
As far as wellies goes, Millets have some super funky ones in at the moment. They also have some quite nice fitted fleeces and jumpers which would probably be quite flattering, and they come in quite a few colours too.
And PMSL at the flump comment!
    Answer:
    have you tried kathmandu?
    http://www.kathmandu.com.au/kat/html_uk/home.htm
    Answer:
Either Millets or Blacks are your best bet for outdoorsy gear.
    Answer:
I got what only can be described as a sleeveless padded parka from Primark for £6....not so good for your arms if it's raining but it keeps me warm:)
Ebay is pretty good for funky wellies:)
