Primark location

NO.1. Ask :
Primark location
Ok, haven't been to England for a while but am soon going to London for a trip to see mates and to shop (of course! ), gonna check out Primark too (after all the raves it gets here, I'm convinced it's well worth the trip). Which is better Hammersmith or Kilburn? Kilburn would be closer to where we are staying but could travel to Hammersmith if worth it? Any ideas what fab items I should look out for?
Answer:
Anyone?
Answer:
Hammersmith is much bigger. But its undergoing renovations at the moment (due to finish at the end of this week or next) so I'd go to that one.

    NO.2. ask :
    Shipping from the states
My boyfriend wants some trainers from a website but they only ship to the states, is the only way for me to get these to join shipthestates? and if so what does it entail?
    thanks x
    Answer:
You can email the website or call them as I know that some folks on here have had good luck with them that way. They'll process the order over the phone but not over the website. Alternatively have you seen the ones he wants on any other websites in the US that do ship to the UK or even on US Ebay? Can you post a pic or a link so that someone in the UK can say if they've seen them? Or are you mainly getting them for the price break?
Can't help with the shopthestates dilemma, as I'm US-based, so don't need their services. :)

They dont need to be fancy as no ones going to really see them. I've had a look on most websites but having no luck. Would any of you be able to point me in the right direction.
Also can not seem to find the Ravels website if anyone knows it??
    Answer:
I was going to reccommend Ravel before getting to the end of your post;) I don't think they have their own web site as i've tried looking for it in the past. Do a search for your local store i'm sure you'll find what your looking for in there. Faith are another good store for strappy sandals and the like.

    Oh No
    1 Attachment(s) Damn,
After my eternal quest to find a little sundress, I thought my searches were over when I finally got one of this from Warehouse and the Vanessa Bruno dress from Paris.
Was very chuffed when it arrived this morning and looking forward to wearing it.
Anyhow have just tried it on in the lavs downstairs and
    a) It's too big
    b) It's way way way too short even on a short arse like me
I think I should have figured it wouldn't be long enough as it's a tunic rather than a dress, but I thought I'd get away with it.
Oh well, back to the drawing board!
    Mimi x
    Answer:
Oh what a bugger, I hate it when that happens. At least you got your gorgeous Paris things.
    X
    Answer:
Ahhh that's a bummer mimi :( Are you going to keep the tunic anyway, is it nice? :)
    Answer:
I know LJ :) I have a little Topshop Unique dress I was going to take back so I may keep it instead!!
CWIACS (what a mouthful!) I won't keep it no - I quite like tunics over jeans, but because it's too big on me, the shape is wrong for jeans - it bells out and make me look much wider than I actually am!!!
It's a shame as I really like it!
    Mimi x
    Answer:
Oh no I hate that mimi! Especially when your really looking forward to wearing it!
Im still on the search for a perfect summer dress with no luck! Although I did by a cream one on Friday from Zara that Im going to cut the bottom off of to make shorter so that may be as good as im going to get for now!
    Good luck with your search!x

  • My Zara Coat

    NO.5. ask :
    My Zara Coat
Last year I bought a beautiful red wool coat from Zara Woman. I don't know if you remember it, it was cherry coloured with three huge silver buttons. I thought that I would be wearing it this winter again. The buttons kept falling off so I had to keep sewing them on all winter and when I took it out of the wardrobe the other day I realised that it had become really shabby looking despite not being worn that much since I live in Spain and it is not often cold enough for a wool coat. Anyway, I had it dry cleaned and I am so disappointed that it has lost the richness of the cherry colour and now looks dull, feels really rough and the buttons have all dropped off and they stuffed them in the pocket.
They begrudgingly gave me my money back when I complained at the dry cleaners. I don't know whether the fault lies with it just being poor quality and so didn't take well in the dry cleaning process or it was the dry cleaners fault.
Either way I won't be using that dry cleaners again and I hate to say it but I hesitate to buy another Zara coat despite loving their styles. I might as well buy a coat from Primark if they only last a season from Zara and are three times the price. In fact, I have jackets and coats from there which still look like new a year later.

I have that coat in back and have had no problems (except the buttons coming loose)
    Answer:
I nearly bought that red coat, as it is gorgeous but when i went to pay, two of the buttons were really loose. They wouldn't offer me a discount, nor did they have any more size mediums so I left it.

I have coats from Primark that looked better quality. It's a shame, as that Zara one is really beautiful and has a fab shape. Their quality is either really good or dire. I have skirts that have lasted 3 years, yet shirts that look tatty after a few washes.:cmdunno:
