Winter coat (I know it's July!)

NO.1. Ask :
Winter coat (I know it's July!)
1 Attachment(s) Just looking at the NAP sale, I saw this coat by Roland Mouret reduced by about £400 and thought it could be actually quite a good idea to get my winter coat now.
However I might hate it by september, and also it feels really odd to be buying a winter coat in July, so wondered what people thought.
Oh, and do people think it's nice, or am I blinded by the discount?
Answer:
depends what colouring you have - oops i know, i've seen a photo!
lovely coat, and would suit you (was thinking that it wouldn't suit fairer skin/blond her - ME :D !! )
i would bag a bargain like that - am always looking for coats in the summer!!
Answer:
hmmm, am quite tempted
Just feels weird to be buying winter coats now!
Answer:
I think it's beautiful. My Mum always buys winter coats in the sales - I think it's a good idea. Why don't you look at all the A/W shows and see whther or not you think it will be fashionable?
Mimi x
Answer:
I like it, I think it is very stylish, but is it the kind of thing you would wear.
and is it s/s or last a/w because it is s/s it might be quite a light weight coat (maybe)
In the magazine previews of the new seasons stuff there is a lot of stuff like that so I think it will work well.

Does this look like a 'respectable' daytime outfit...
1 Attachment(s) ...for a 34 year old, who's also a mummy? Bear with me, it's the first time I'll be doing the shorts/boots/opaques thing and don't want to look like I'm trying to dress too young, but then I don't suppose age or the fact that you're a mum really matters, as long as I feel good in it, which I do!
Is it casual enough for a day outfit for, say, shopping?
Thanks for your thoughts ladies, mucho appreciacio!
PS, my gosh, my mirror needs a clean... :D
    Answer:
I am so jealous - I tried shorts, boots and opaques and it looked shocking on me, but you can really pull it off!
The only thing I'd say though, is that the tights look a little bit sheer/see-through? I personally wouldn't feel comfortable in them for daytime, so I'd swap them for a pair of completely opaque ones with a higher denier, or even thick wooly ones :)
    Answer:
I think your outfit looks great, regardless of age or if you're a mummy! :D

Thanks - you're dead right about the tights - they're the only brown ones I have at the mo, so just tried them on to get the general picture - so am gonna stock up on some really chunky ones. GJ, I'm sure you of all people could pull of this look, you've got a great figure!
    thanks Song8ird!
    Answer:
omg you do not have the body of a 34 yr old! :faint:
yes missus! that looks great! personally i'd go for wooly tights thats the only difference
if you hadn't have said you were 34 i wouldn't have known!

    Answer:
scratch this thread, i've taken lizzie's advice and i'm going to make my own!
(however, on a lazier note, if any of you *have* seen any, let me know!) :p :p :p
    Answer:
It's opposite my office - I can pop in and see what they've got at lunch if you aren't nearby
    Answer:
If it's anywhere like where i get my beads you will end up spending a small fortune. Most the time it's cheaper to buy from the highstreet.
There's some dark bead on River Island. Well they aren't on the site to buy but they are on the title page for 'jewellery' so probably will be in store :) More of a dark brown than black though:(
    Answer:
    I bought these
from Ebay, are they what you are looking for?

    White bikini...
Has anyone seen a nice plainish white bikini anywhere, really want one for when I (hopefully) go to Ibiza next month. Would prefer to spend less than £50, don't mind too much about the style but the top needs to be fairly supportive...
    Ta x
    Answer:
I got a really nice plain white one by Princess Tam Tam last year in Selfridges. Although I think it was about £70, and it's a triangle one but is quite supportive.(not that i need it to be!) x
    Answer:
Thanks SP... anyone else seen one more recently?
    Answer:
Top Shop have a couple (see website) and I'm pretty sure I saw a few on Figleaves.
    Answer:

The topshop cage shoes in turquoise/blue are now all sold out and none at the warehouse! :(
    Answer:
Aw, boo sucks, I hate it when that happens :(
Perhaps the dithering was a sign that you didn't really want them ... hopefully now you'll find some shoes you'll love and snap up at first sight ;)
    x
    Answer:
They seem to be everywhere at the mo, i'm sure someone mentioned River Island although i'm not sure they have them in turquoise.
    HTH :)
    Answer:
Are these like them (wrong colour obviously!)

If so it might be worth a look:)
    Answer:
As far as I know, the only place that had them in that colour was topshop... what size do you need? I can check my local branch? Either that or ring around to see if you can find them... all the store phone numbers are on their website.
The closest you could probably get to these now are the river island ones... not as nice a colour IMO but they are great shoes :)
