Bag Help Please!
I go back to uni in less than 2 weeks *argh!* and really need a decent bag to lug all of my books around. I've looked in Topshop, Reiss, Oasis etc and none of their offerings are suitable.
It needs to be leather, a neutral colour, and be big enough for A4 books.
I'm thinking maybe getting a fake Bayswater, or perhaps a Stam?
Any recs would be very helpful, thank you!!
Answer:
Not really that helpful but i've never found i've needed a bag that big?i normally find that just a file is sufficient for lectures which i can carry and on the days where i do go to the library etc i just carry a shopper style bag (like you get free in topshop) with my books in and then everything else in my normal bag so that if i need to leave the library to get lunch or somethingi can just leave that bag there and don't have to lug everything around in my normal bag if that makes sense?could you not just use your normal bag and then just a cheap 'shopper' to carry your books in?
Answer:
Bayswater seems like a good choice as it's a good size and you can close them - I quite like the Elgin, but that hasn't got a fastener to close the bag, but has a zip pocket inside.
I have seen them on the eurohere website posted on here... think it's Hermes here|Louis vuitton here|Designer here|Chloe here|Fendi here|Mulberry here|YSL here|Dior here|Marc Jacobs|Jimmy Choo|Gucci here|Kooba here|Chanel here
Answer:
I travel into uni, so I need one big bag really. I'm also so disorganised, that one big bag is better as I can just chuck everything i need in it.
Answer:
If you go for a cheap shopper idea for lugging books files, Primark has some pretty good large ones for about £3 a pop.

I need a nice silver/pewter clutch bag but I haven't seen any I like. :cmdunno:
Any suggestions? Anyone bought a bag like this lately?
Thanks in advance! :)
Answer:
Have you tried ebay? I get all of my clutches/evening bags from there.

I just had a look there but there wasn't any I liked very much atm. Maybe I'm a bit too picky. :o
Answer:
There is definitely one in River Island at the moment, saw it the other day in with the new season stuff. Either that or maybe try somewhere like accessorize.
Answer:
Thanks for the tip, Yingers! Do you mean the buckle one from River Island? I saw it on their website and it's quite nice actually. :)
Grazia
NO.3. ask :
Grazia
I think their "fashion sense" is going down the pan. I always use to see loads of stufff every week that I wanted but recently it's not inspiring me much :cmdunno:
Answer:
I agree, it's either really unwearable high-fashion stuff or boring bland stuff. I used to like reading their columns, but they're a bit blah too. I despise Polly Vernon too (who writes for them)
I like Glamour's fashion pages more, much more inspiring!
Answer:
I used to buy Grazia every week, but I don't bother now. I don't find much that inspires me fashion-wise and I am not interested in celebrity gossip.
Answer:
I like their approach, they add things that they like, not necessarily whats in fashion.
But I have to say its a bit difficult to follow, the layout is odd, with lost of stops and starts, not very inviting.
Answer:
I haven't seen this weeks issue, too engrossed in Look mag. But I have been reading it lately as my mum has been buying it and I agree it has too much High end fashion in it. Considering it's a weekly fashion magazine. But I am desperate for magazines now because most of them I find are a load of old crap: Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Marie Claire and Company. After Happy went bust all I have left is Elle and Look :boohoo:

What to wear on first date with pencil skirt....
Im about to go on a hot date so went to TopShop to invest in something super sexy...;)
Found a really nice pencil shirt... this is the one....
But what shall i wear with it... I have a nice cream corset style type top, just simple but sexy or i have a black wrap around dressy shirt - not as sexy...
We are going for a meal to a posh resaurant in the town centre on friday night so can get away with dressing up!
I also have very short dropped hair so want to look ultra feminine.
I dont know!!!!
It is our first date so want to make am impression....
Answer:
Do you have a slit neck, 3 quarter length sleeve fine knit top?
I think that would go beautifully!Figure hugging and displaying a bit of shoulder.
Answer:
Nope, dont have one of those...
Answer:
Anything off the shoulder?
Any pretty verst tops with a bit of ruffle on them?
Just had a look at the Topshop site, I may have to make a trip there, love what Ive seen.
Answer:
I'd go for a plain wifebester vest and a nice belt over the top or a sheer pusy bow blouse undone, YSL stylie with a belt over.
Tweed skirts for work
NO.5. ask :
Tweed skirts for work
In an effort to be a little more lady like and chic I am looking for some skirts to wear for work. I've found these from Warehouse but to be honest £40 is vair steep for me and dry clean only is utterly impractical. Has anyone seen anything like them in other stores, cheaper ones hopefully!

Answer:
Topshop have loads of pencil skirts at the moment but I am not sure about tweedy ones.
I think HM is your best bet, they have 3 or 4 diffrent tweedy skating skirts like the last one you posted which are gorgeous and I am sure I saw a tweedy pencil skirt in there too. :D
Answer:
to hijack this thread just for a minute..I've got a tweed skirt for work..its gorgeous pink tweed with a brown trim I don't wear brown though and have nothing really that goes with it.. its a real depths of winter skirt so I'm thinking of wearing it with a really fitted jumper and black tights and boots and just ignoring the brown really as its so not my colour..
opinions??

I can't really visualise that to be honest. Is it a pale brown or darker?

very dark brown and the skirt is pale pink tweed. my other option is just to take the trim off as its hemmed and then the trim is just decoration really.
