    NO.3. ask :
    Wearing anything under a kilt?
About a year ago I posted here to say I'd been out for the night wearing a rather nice A-line HM mini kilt and the people I was with (including some Scottish guys) made out that it's an insult to the Scottish people to wear pants under a kilt.
Needless to say, loads of heregers says my mates were taking the mickey and this rule only applies to guys.
Well, on Xmas eve I was at a big party, this time in a Potty D kilt, and someone made the same point. This time it wasn't a guy but a girl from Gasgow, who was also wearing a mini kilt. I said she was having a laugh but she lifted it up to show me and I *swear* she had nothing on underneath.
Luckily I wasn't on my period and had just de-fuzzed downstairs so I went commando for the rest of the night. So maybe there is some truth to the stories...
    Answer:
I have known a few men who don't wear anything under the kilt (it's hard to miss when the hooligan's turns get a bit faster) but in my experience most do - that wool plaid is itchy on bare skin and it's really not good manners to go without at a formal 'do', nor wise to do so when the West Highland midge is doing its thing.
    Answer:
Most men don't wear anything under a kilt!!
    Answer:
Blimey, women not wearing owt under a mini kilt's a bit much.

Yes totally!! Women wearing nothing under a kilt is

    NO.4. ask :
How has your style/wardrobe changed this year?
I don't think this has been done :) I was thinking about how what i wear has changed this year and how different the clothes in my wardrobe are to last years selection and thought it would be fun to analyse how things have changed over the year.
    For me:
-I am now a complete skirt convert. At the beginning of this year i had one or two skirts in my wardrobe, now i have 8 as opposed to 3 pairs of jeans. I was a major trouser wearer and now skirts have just taken over, i'd wear them all the time if it wasn't for my choice of transport meaning i can't wear them to college :)
-Am also a newly found boot fanatic. Could never get into wearing them before and now have 3 pairs and hopefully another pair coming soon as opposed to 0 before! Same thing is starting to apply for ballet flats.
-Started buying nicer underwear as opposed to not caring what my underwear looked like.
-Generally my wardrobe is a lot more 'trendy' and funky this year, thank you baggers for keeping me in line with the latest trends!
    Answer:
I used to dress smart casual all the time but have become really casual CASUAL over the past year. T-shirts, jeans, trainers and combat/parka jackets have been look I've gone for most of the time lately.
I'm gonna revert back to my former glory for 2005! I'm going back to my Crazy Sexy Cool' look. I know Mr Caramel is dying to see in a skirt again too:D
    Answer:
This year I have tended to vear more from casual jeans etc. to more expensive tops. Usually bought from sales but a lot less casual.
Hopefully 2005 will increase this trend to the bottom half as well.
I hope this is being more fashion conscious and not older
    Answer:
Great thread! :D My dress sense has changed soooo much. I wear way more colour now and don't dress as casual as I used to. I still have my cargo pants and t shirt days but not EVERYday. I'm a bit more daring in the way I dress now too, and I'll go for clothes I wouldn't usually pick. I'd never wear the colour pink, lace, pumps before because I thought they were to girly and now my wardrobe is stuffed with the stuff. I've started wearing more v necks and low cut tops too because I've realised they make the best of my chest and I like my collarbone area. I also accessorise more now too and I feel so much more dressed and finished now than when I didnt accessorise as much. :)
    Answer:
I make more of an effort to be feminine now-I still wear jeans all the time but I try to wear a nice bit of jewelery or ballet shoes with them.
Also I wear more colour now than I did.
I have more 'designer' clothes now I have discovered the true delights of Ebay/here!!
I am starting to layer more-I could never get the hang of it before!
I would like to say I am more stylish, but I think the main thing is,I dress to suit me now+for comfort but still keeping style (i.e I will wear boots/uggs rather than automatically wearing trainers).:D

  • Fashion New Year Resolutions

    NO.5. ask :
    Fashion New Year Resolutions
Having spent ages on the doll-making website, trying to find outfits plain enough to replicate mine, and having felt a right frump for ages - I live in cords and jumpers at work because they're practical and I feel the cold - I am feeling distinctly blaaaaargh about the way I look.
So, my New Year's resolution is .. to dress in a more funky manner. Not entirely sure what that'll translate into, but I have a bunch of fabric and patterns to make up for a distinct lack of cash in turning this desire into reality. Has anyone got any ideas about looking attractive AND warm (I regularly wear five layers at work!) .. and has anyone else got a Fashion New Year's resolution?
    Pleeeese?
    :D
    Answer:
I have a fashion new years resolution and it's to be more bothered-for college i usually just chuck on a hoodie and jeans cause it's warm but i'm gonna try and find more fashionable alternatives. I lost my beloved black jumper on the brink of winter as my dad decided to put it in the wash despite me telling him not to touch it and it was all felted and ruined :( I couldn't afford a new one and couldn't get the same one anywhere but my mum bought me a similar one for christmas and one in blue so that's a start!
    Answer:
To wear more skirts and to stop buying clothes to 'slim into'
    Answer:
    Great thread.
Next year I hope to be mostly wearing more skirts! Equally I want to invest in some fab footwear and accessories basically look more in the mirror before I leave the house! Sometimes, I think I throw too many outfits together without actually taking notice of what I look like!
I think I'll even be bold do sort out tonight, throwing things away then heading to the shops to replace items for more funkier things.
    Answer:
Deffo to accessorise more. I wear the same jewellry all the time, and there are some gorgeous costume pieces out there that I should really start wearing.
Also, to try and match my ridiculous amount of shoes with my ridiculous amount of heres rather than using the same bag with every outfit because I can't be a**ed to move all my stuff over!
